The difference between 3U n 4U is not that big i believe...if u find that ur 4U doesn't really produce big power while smashing..rather than just change it,u can try to do something with ur racket..like changing its overgrip to a smaller one.Add a protection tape to add ur head weight..change ur string n the tension setting. If it still doesn't work, then go for the new or old AT700 3U,or old ti-10 2U..

Okay, already tried to change strings and tension and that didnt help.
can only get hold of Ti-10 yellow 3U at the moment so its either 3U AT700 or 3U Ti-10

get one of each and try it out, you won't know for sure until you've personally played with it.
looking at current reviews, it seems the ArcS 10 is not living up to its initial hype, so another option might be the at900.
or if you're looking to break away from yonexes, many have said that the sotx woven 11 is quite a beast.

Have u tried to change ur overgrip to a thinner one..or apply a tape on the head,to add the head weight?

Purple Ti-10 looks interesting. Is it basically the same as the yellow one?

I play with both these racquets...
...and it beats me how someone whose game is smash-based could be unhappy with the Armortec 700's power
The Ti-10 is indeed a brute but it needs to be backed by solid muscle to deliver those brutal shots. If you look like Fu Haifeng or the Panda, the Ti-10 is your buddy ;)
But if you're anyone lesser, the AT 700 should give you a thumping edge

Agree. It's quite strange for someone who is smash-based could not generate power with the at700. The ti10 is stiffer than the at700 and I wonder how he would be able to get a harder smash from it than the at700

How does the balance of the yellow Ti-10 compare to the at700? May that play a factor?
Sounds like more of a technique issue instead of the racket?

I think Oldhand was reffering to the original Ti-10, not the new yellow or purple ones.

Maybe you can also try Victor Power Wave 11 2U, and it scare me cos it is heavier than AT700, longer and definitely stiffer! Should smash like a rock if you can wield it.

You guys talking about the yellow one? My old Ti-10 3ug5 2005's balance point is at 292cm BP. Pretty head heavy and stiff. I had to cut the grip length though haha.

The 2005 version is the one that incorporates Ultimum Ti and high modulus graphite in the shaft, right?

Its the old one. Black silver and grey one, but made on 2005. There is some suspicion that the old one was made into head lighter after 2004.

Yellow ti10 :
My 3ug4 : 288mm
My 3ug5 : 293mm (although grip wrapped thicker to equalize g4 grip)
As a comparison my at700 : 297mm

I have been asked to re-string a yonex Ti10 badminton racket. The player wants 25lbs tension but the reccommended max is 20lbs.
Any suggestions?????

If u can do it rite,on a good form ti-10..this racket can hold up to 30lbs.i believe.Yonex is popular for its tension limitation.I was wonderring..is there any current advanced players that's only playing around 20lbs?While as we know, those high end yonex target consumers r the advanced players..n most of them play above 25lbs.Weird:confused:

I just picked up some yellow Ti10s and strung them up to 30/32lbs. constant pull and the rackets held up easily, no problems.

If you cannot get power with the AT700, I highly doubt you're going to get more power with the Ti10 which is more demanding.

Guys, I wanna know if I should get either an Armortec 900 Technique or an Armortec 700.
I tried out my friends Armortec 900 Power and I figured that I can't get as much power as i could with an AT700. (too stiff). The Ti10 is too head heavy for my liking..
So.. in this case, for a hard hitter and a net player, AT900T or AT700? Thanks.
Oh btw, I just joined BC.

It depends on the stringing machine. A good electronic stringing machine produces 3-4 lbs higher tension than normal manual machines. I recently received a Gosen 6000 from a store in Japan, they claimed that they use Yonex ES5pro to string rackets. I told them to string my racket at the limitation tension (22 lbs). But when I received it, I feel it's waaaaayyyy tighter than another racket which strung at 26 lbs by a manual machine (played for 6 months though). I can't imagine any racket would stand 28 lbs or above under ES5pro. So I think Yonex probably set their racket's limitation in ES5pro's way;)

Any high end yonex racquet should be able to hold 25lbs easily.

AT700 is head heavier than Ti-10 by a lot, even if you're considering the old one, the yellow one, or the purple one. AT900T is a bit stiffer than AT700 because of shorter shaft, and is less head heavy, but it's also less powerful.

Sorry Sorry. No idea.Depends on which build you're talking about - the old 'classic' 2U version matches your description but the newer 3U ones don't.

Do they still sell them? What about 900T against 700? In terms of power. If I can clear a backhand with an AT500 can I do a crosscourt backhand clear with the 700 or 900T?

I use a 4U AT900T and backhand clears are fine with me, and have similar power than a 3U AT700. The faster swing speed compensates for less power in the swing.
AT700 better for smashing because it simply has more power. The AT900T can have similar power, but is harder to time because the head is so much faster. However, if you time both, the speed of the smash is similar.

Which is stiffer? And what is the difference between UltimumTI with ElasticTI? My friend said with AT700, you can feel like got spring or something on the shaft. Does it feel the same with AT900T?

I've posted reviews just now on both racquets here. (http://www.badmintoncentral.com/forums/showthread.php?t=52624&page=5)
The At700 has the whippy effect because of the Ultimum Ti; the shaft flexes, but the Ultimum Ti makes it snap back faster, making it feel whippy. It's similar in the AT900T because of the Elastic Ti.

Nanoscience in At900T is the "nanoscale Elastic Ti".
