Fuzzy pair has absolutely no chance to qualify for the Olympics
Now, those 2 matches we saw just now are evidence that MAS doesn't fix matches. Fairly and fiercely played.....unlike last week's debacle.
Geezzz... You really have to try to drag every thread into this? :(
Remember, CHN players got accused for everything, which also including "not trying hard enough" (ZJW/YW in earler 2000s). Ok, so you want to put KKK/TBH and WCH (my favorite MS) to be in this basket instead?:o

I said that the matches were played fairly and squarely. What I merely pointed out was that Fairuz/Zakry are definitely not qualifying for Olympics 2008, yet, they fought hard and eventually upsetted the 3rd seed. Meanwhile, Wong Choong Hann is trying to qualify, and yet saw his efforts got derailed by a KLRC club player...his former teammate.
I don't think I ever mentioned anything about WCH or Koo/Tan "not trying hard enough":cool: On the contrary, if Team MAS was to follow Li Yongbo's well-known tactic, they could just let Fairuz/Zakry gave the match to Koo/Tan...give them the confidence to enter the QF also, after so many failures in recent months.
Compare this with Team China's own tactics last week. Or wait...we will have 1 crucial match coming up tomorrow....He Hanbin/Yu Yang vs Zheng Bo/Gao Ling. I think many ppl will bet that team orders will be given such that He Hanbin/Yu Yang will "win" that match, given that they need the points "badly", compared to their counterparts.

As the Chinese saying goes...."as the going gets tougher, u perform better" :D Last week's AE was a super duper fluke  A fatal one too...which led to Jung/Lee winning the prestigous title

I would not say it's a "fluke"... My impression is that MK/HS most of the times are pretty vulnerable in early rounds. But after the first two rounds, they become stronger and stronger, sometimes to the extent of formidable in SF and F.
Yes I mean it's wise for them to not face MK/HS this time. It seems to me from watching KKK/TBH vs. Zakry/Fairuz and CY/FHF vs. Canadian that KKK/TBH still has some problem and CY/FHF is not in good form. Especially CY/FHF, they would get demolished if they face MK/HS.

Ic...now I got your points :D
Quite true though your observation  Looking at the results this year, their results in R32 are so-so only, being pushed to rubber-sets in two occassions this year, and losing once in straight sets. They also lost in R16 to Paaske/Rasmussen in Korea (that one quite expected though, given the chilly condition). For last year, they were pushed to rubber-sets 7 times in the first 2 rounds.
I am simply astounded by Koo/Tan's recent results....now even any ordinary pair can beat them....only Kido/Hendra have yet to beat them :o

Is not going to be pretty when the Malaysia No 1 MD got back home...... at least the head coach has get use to them losing now!
I honestly think KKK/TBH's ranking will take a drastic drop, since they were Champions in AE & Swiss Open.
Frankly, Koo/Tan and WCH are supposed to "win". I mean, the wins for Fuzzy and Sairul are so insignificant as far as OG qualifying is concerned.:(
The losses have a lot of impact to the losers today. Wrong move.
Read Samuel's analysis on KKK/TBH lost. It's for TC in May for uncles to take 1st MD. But WCH, yes, he needs the OG pts to qualify
Yes, yen-saw, it will be bad when they return, NSC & BAM already angry after lost in AE, now....

Maybe Mas fans know KKK/TBH better, but it seems to me KKK/TBH played pretty well, definitely better than when they lost to Jap pairs (They are not their "fast and furious" selves for a long time anyway :D). On the other hand, Fuzzy played better.
By the way, isn't it simply not possible that Mas has 3 pairs in top 4? Why bother "letting" Fuzzy win?

Errr, they played better during TC qualifiers.
Fuzzy are out to prove themselves worthy of being 3rd MD during TC in May. Read Samuel's statement. It's not about OG pts like Guo/Xie's case.
Yes, not possible for Msia to have 3 pairs, but uncle LWW has recurring knee injury, Fuzzy are reserve in case uncles get injured. They are currently no 14, they need to maintain top 16 to be reserve pair. If not, if uncles get injured, no replacement.
I didnt say KKK/TBH 'let' Fuzzy win, I said they like no mood = no motivation, either the losses, pressure or upcoming blastings got to them. While their team mates, Fuzzy, are out to prove their worthtiness

It would be wise for MAS to send three of their MD pairs to Thomas Cup Finals :
Combo 1 : Koo + Zakry
Combo 2 : Tan + Fairuz
I can see both strength on this scratch pair, Fairuz can focus more control more in the net shot, while let TBH display his killer instinct -- Big smashes.
Zakry can execute some deadly drop shot from the base line , while Koo will have his control on the net -- The area which quite suits him.
Recently, one of the main reason for Koo/Tan Flops is both of them too eager to kill for a shuttle when it reach mid court
Perhaps the new combo like above could start as early as coming May...

So? They playing team mates, some also commented Chen Yu not really into it when playing LD. Same with BCL vs team mate last week at AE.
And nobody commented the above when the Korean MDs played each other, and when Lee/Hwang won German Open, some believed it was strategy to get Lee/Hwang into top 8. There were comments that both pairs werent really into it.
Same with LD vs CJ match. Since LD is fit this week, it's believed LD 'let' CJ win. And this not counting the walkovers & convenient retirements.
If ppl say they 'let' team mate win, you critise, if ppl say they no mood, you all also critise, then, China & Korea play strategy can ?

1) this the others already discussed in the Chen Jin thread & AE reports by those at the stadium - their analysis is there, I didnt start it, read it yourself. The going on & on happens there.
2) Already discussed many times (X10) in the Prof Players section - either you didnt go thru/ you pretend not to know/you dont bother to make the connection.
<sigh> I already said this very direct - ppl also say same thing when it's China vs China or Korea vs Korea players look like not really into it, that they 'let' their team mates win for OG pts - that one you dont comment, this one you want to zero in.
Any same country playing, ppl will comment when it's not 100% exciting.
So, all these other players also unprofessional if they look 'no mood'/ 'dont really want to be there'?
Furthre example , No mood if against other country :
During Mo 2008, some also commented Lar/Jonas in Semis looked out of focus, I said they looked 'out of sorts'. Bf that they just beat no 1,2,3,5 seeds but dunno why, like 'no mood' in Semis. Some were wondering how on earth did Lar/Jonas managed to get into Semis.
In the end, they lost to Luluk/Alvent - so, they also unprofessional ?- since they are playing for country, cannot be 'no mood', plus some more against different country, even worse.
Lar/Jonas also looked out of sorts to me when they played Fuzzy in Copenhagen Masters.

Hope it is now clear enough for you.

LD vs CJ no point for me to add, wasting energy for to put forth all the points all over again, since it's already extensively discussed in 2 different threads.
So? For 3rd time, we also comment about other country players similarly. It is not exclusive
You never comment that when it's other countries players, what does that show?
And whatever reason given for the lost, including that they didnt play well, it would be seen as excuse, which has happened many, many times. In other words, you all will complain anyway. And I did say in earlier posts it's no excuse for their performance.
Your point of view is still the majority view (already discussed) in real life - you dont have to debate or convince the remaining 15% to 20%. You often make it sound like you're the few who think so, in reality it's not so.
Just go to the street anywhere, you'll find that 80% share your view- since there are those here who think we are the majority, and that we gang up on you,.
And yes, we're the ones being ridiculed all the time, from the sceptics & loyalist, it takes guts to be the minority, it's easy to be the majority.

Ahhh well fair enough then! Still I don't think it's total nonsense, there's plenty of reasons (sure they aren't "proof", but it's not like the speculation is based on absolutely nothing) people have come to that conclusion. I'm certainly not saying he DEFINITELY threw the game, but it does seem suspicious, that's all.
