i'm using the rsl 6800 switching from the yonex at500 because i dont like head heavy rackets. You can try that i heard it's cheap in malay. But beware, you get a whole less power from headlight rackets.

Well, I haven't the faintest idea what your budget is, but, I'd recommend either the Yonex Nanospeed 9000S or the Yonex ArcSaber 7.

We have quite a few girls using these... and they seem to excel with these racquets ;)

If you're uncomfortable with a SGD 200-250 budget, you could also go for the Impact Bamboo Power 6 :)

i'm selling the Artery Tec 99, which i think is suitable. comparatively, it is inexpensive, easy to wield and still deliver enough power.

Maybetry MP88/99, or AT900T, i don't think AT900P is suitable for girls. I had a friend who went to SG and said he saw yonex racquets for $500 there, if someone has a camera phone please take a photo, i really do want to see a $500 racquet hahaha :D.

Btw, not trying to be rude or anything, as i'm aware, i think english is first language in Singapore? Your paragraph contains so many weird abbreviations and attemps to replace words with similar sounding letters makes it quite difficult read and understand... I sure hope you don't write essays like that :p

i think apacs might be a good choice for her. Alot of model to choose from head heavy to head light and it's cheaper than other brand(i think). Anyway i think Apacs Nano Silver Speed suits you, it's head light, easy to move around and it's shiny too.

Why not join in some play group here and have a go with their racket. I am sure there are alway some racket critic around playing too that can give you more advice....Or just drop in to my group( consist of female player too) and just try some.

first, u need to know what type of racket u want (head heavy, balance, or head light). From there move down to what kid of branch u want (yonex, wilson, etc....). Then borrows and tries out their models to find the best 1 u can afford.

Lolx. Though English might be first language in Singapore but I think Singlish is something that you can only find in Singapore and some other countries. So this a little like "Singapore's" language only. But anyway, typing shortforms on the keyboard proves to be faster than to type the whole word out sometimes since I usually do not go to forums. I used the forum this time round to ask for suggestions as to whether what kind of rackets I should buy. Also, I used shortforms when I was in a rush the last time round. But I do not blame you because different people see things from different perspectives and therefore have different opinions on different things and that is what makes each and everyone of us different from one another and unique in their own way!

Anyway, I might go for AT 900T. Other suggestions of other rackets would be greatly appreciated!

i think any racquet can be suitable for any gender, it all depends on your own characteristics, swing speed, wrist power, technique, style of playing and so on. it is however less common among the pros to see a lady using the at900p, some do use the at900t, but the ns9000s appears to be the weapon of choice.

0ut0ftheb0xcrap
03-18-2008, 09:10 AM
okay..but my partner is using e ns9000s which if i get e same racket as her wld it be a little confusing?or sth.?

Moggy

I did make suggestions before my comments  Its not that a girl can't use an AT900P, however being stiff and fairly head heavy requires more arm muscles to manuover properly. You could use an AT700, NS9000X, MP100 if you felt like it, just that most normal girls won't be able to draw the power from the racquet. For all purposes a girl using one of these racquet would still do better than some crappy $10 racquet...

I see many girls using AT900T because its easy to swing around, but most girls i know won't buy an expensive racquets. I think for girls its better to either use a medium flex racquet for power, or head light for swinging speed, AT900T is quite unique to have fast swinging speed while being head heavy. I'll make the suggestions again, try out the MP66/88, NS6000 which are flexible racquets, and then NS7000/9000S.

I personally know many singaporeans, and i have to say they all tend to abbreviate every word they can. The only advice i can give is while you may be proud you have developed an english dilect that no one understands, SG's population is a very small minority in the english speaking world and the majority have great difficulty understanding what you're saying. I have a friend that writes like that on msn and a 10 word sentence from him generally takes me 10 times longer to decipher than searching up french words with a dictionary :p. And just 1 last example, a few singaporean international students i know, thought they'd write essays like that in university here in australia, they instantly failed the unit having gotten 0 for their first hurdle ;).

eh. yea sorry if e majority doesn't understand cuz i normally talk to the minority:)though it may be small but it still has its gd pts la. eh. tt may b an eg of them failin but im nt sayin tt i might nt fail oso juz tt, say i hav 2 sets of english languages?

i think it's basic "net-tiquette" to type in legible English so as to allow the majority of the Forumers to comprehend what you are trying to express. I'm also Singaporean, but I feel that we should still be considerate for the rest of the people here. Not that my English is good (I speak Hokkien most of the time), but we can definitely try to type in better English sentences.
Sorry for going off-topic here.
I still think something 4U, even balance, medium flex will be good.

i don't see why both you and your partner having the same racquet would be a problem. have you tried her ns9000s? do you like it?

The Nanospeed 9000S is a superb racquet.
Another great buy would be an ArcSaber 7.

As mentioned earlier, it's finally down to the money ;)

yes the AT900T is easy to swing around can consider, head not as heavy as 3UG4 Ti-10 (old)

today 4 of my friends played with my AT900T 3UG4 @23 with yonex NBG 98

friend A who used (3UG4 mp99) - when swinging fast got no feel of weight and shuttle/ netshots have more feel and easier to control

friend B who used (mp 27 i think) - easy to swing but dont like it, played half way and use back his own racket

friend C who used (mp 22) - say too light, no power

friend D (forget what racket he use) - too stiff , too light

hope it helps if you are deciding on AT900T

ouch, what a sexist remark!
:)

Its really not only girls :D I bought my first MP100 cos it was a great deal and i loved the red, made it look powerful, of course it IS powerful...

What i have realised over time is what you suggest for other ppl to buy based on some simple facts never really matters, the person will have their own preference, and 80% of the time will end up buying that against everyone's advice. I think its a pyschological factor wanting to prove to others they are wrong and they can use such a racquet.

Girls don't seem to like being stereotyped into a girl racquet, and almost never buy a MP66/88, NS6000, even when they'll most likely play the best with such racquets. Guys don't like being told they aren't Fu Haifeng and most can't actually flex an extra stiff shaft, and goes against all odds to buy racquets like NS9000X and then asks why his smash is slower than girls...

Dreamzz
03-18-2008, 11:17 AM

i buy racquets for the true and only purpose you should buy racquets for.
because reiko-chan uses it!

You can look at the east group SG and we are playing Saturday 430-630 or PM me for detail, Just drop by to try, FOC:D. Anyway the bottom line is it is very difficult for many of us to help unless we see/know about your skill/strength level and your preference.

Many mentioned AT900 is for the advance player because they can not only play but really optimise its use. More notably it is heavy head.

Be very sure of your grip size firstly cos it can change the BP and racket power can be very difference!

lol thats such an awesome reply.. u go girl!! :):)

and as for the racket.. i personally would recommend the at900t after using it myself for a while. yea im a guy but i do not have such strong arms. i still found it quite easy to defend with and manouver compared to other head heavy rackets. the control i got at the net was really good too!
