at the 2008 UCB National Championship

Hello ALL!


What a truly memorable and incredible weekend! We want to thank EVERYONE who came to watch and cheer for our U.S. Adult Nationals Players and for the GG Team!


We are just BEAMING with pride for our own GG Players achievements in the U.S. Adult Nationals as well! Our beloved Coach Chandra Kowi is OFFICIALLY a U.S. NATIONAL CHAMPION!! He was crowned Mixed Doubles champion with Mona Santosa. We had both GGBC finalists in the Mixed Doubles event, with Daniel Gouw and Rulan Yeh coming in 2nd place. Chandra and Daniel also achieved a great feat by coming in 2nd for the Men's Doubles division! Our star coach Lili Zhou also reached Quarter Final in Women's Singles! She had won many Nationals titles in the past...but ah...thus is life, we win some, we lose some, but most important is we move on, learn from this experience, and shine again when we come back!! Finally... Our GG Mike Yang and Chris Hales won the Men's Doubles consolation champions! We are truly PROUD to say we produced some NATIONAL champions at GGBC!!


Hope you all enjoyed the weekend festivities as well and well.. although life is back to normal, Badminton is forever in our hearts even more so than before by the Spirit of the games this last weekend. Come out and play some more everyone. Gotta PRACTICE for the next event!!!

...finally i'm able to read the threads and posts for this event*phew*.
Well, looks like all the "favorites" made it to the Finals, but a bit of a surprise in the WS event, as Lauren couldn't make it to the Final; but good job to Ms. Chen. And by looking at the scores, it seems like all of the Finals events turned out to be a one-sided affair, save the MS, and maybe the MD match(es). Congrats, again, to all the Finalists!:cool:
