I understand from a shop owner in Johor Bahru that dealers are not supposed to sell their Yonex rackets at 40% off the RRP. The maximum discount given is approx 25%-30%.

Sometimes it's difficult to deal with such situation and believe it I hate this so much:mad:.

Maybe the trick is by mentioning that we already bought at such price and for the same piece whey they can't give the same price. My brother didn't break a sweat at all, just mention about the forum then the price is yours.

Maybe the thread starter can clarify with racquet world's staff/owner.

I think they are trying to place safe. What I heard, Sunrise will only allow maximum of 30% off the retail price for dealer to sell to their consumer. As such, they have to very careful in giving the additional discount to their "trusted @ familiar" costumer only. But unfortunately I can't confirm whether it's true or not.

Alternatively, u may ask any of regular customer in this forum to get it for u. :D

Hi Lavender, you may try in Puchong if (PC=Puchong), there are 3 racket shop. their shop near to Yonex court but AJ racket mart got the widest range of racket, you may go there have a look. you may give a call to them at

i was quite shocked when i went to racket world just now. i asked the price for at 250 limited, the same model i bought at my hometown earlier this month. he said at 250 limited is priced at rm270 including grip and string, but i bought it for rm 100 cheaper (together with string and grip)

I hope that my story would help you tomorrow (please dun fall asleep) :)
When I went there, I was attended by a malay guy, skinny and a bit dark (no disrespect). He gave me a discount and said that the AT900T was RM530. I told him that I am a member of BC forum and wanted to speak with bro Lan. I was expecting the other malay (a bit bald and fair) who was stringing to speak with me, but instead they somehow called a chinese guy (Allan). I spoke to him softly saying that from the forum, I was aware that I could get AT900T with RM 450, then he said, "OK" ! (done).
He further asked about which member in BC recommended it to you, I mentioned ZION.
(end of story).
Allan is a nice guy, just approach him politely.
I knew from Allan that Sam is now in charge on another shop somewhere. Perhaps you would expect to see bro Lan, Allan or Kelly tomorrow.

from what i heard from Bro Lan..racket world will place an order let say Ti 10 to Sunrise KL and KL will receive the shipment from Sunrise Singapore..normally the racket come by batch..for e.g this month singapore will ship all 3U G5 batch..next month 3u G4 ..racket world also don't know whether the grip size G4 or G5..as long as the product is Ti 10

so i think if u want G5 grip u have to wait maybe next month..

First of all, a big thank you to all the guys here for pointing out this special deal (esp. to wuldup and shareszan). After hanging out in this thread for 2 weeks, I've decided to take the plunge and went to Racquet World this afternoon (with a friend who wanted to take the MP Limited but more on that later...)

And it was like, mannnnn.... I was like a big kid in a big toy store....! :)
Rows and rows of gleaming new Yonex racquets just hanging there...
So I was standing around sheepishly hoping to catch the 'taukeh' slash our 'forum agent'...
Suddenly a Mr Handsome (turns out to be Alan lar...) asked me in Cantonese, "So boss, which model that interest you?" Ahah, that gave me the initiative to tell him quietly.. "Oh, we're from the 'forum'..." and before I can say anything else, he said (while shaking his head), "Oh.......... no more, no more offers liao... my boss said we losing money... too many ppl said that they're from the forum and bought so many racquets. My boss scared got ppl who resells the racquets for profits... no more, no more..."

In my heart I was like, WTF? Cialat lor this time... my friend sure bang me coz he was so set to get a good deal.

So, putting on my charms I said to him, "No lar, we're not resellers, just some badminton kakis in search of a good deal only. We came all the way here and cannot go back empty-handed... Only for our own usage only lar..."

All this while, I noticed that he was looking around to make sure that we're out of hearing distance from other customers (no problem there coz at that time the other customers were Malays and we're conversing in Cantonese... :) )

So I pulled him aside and told him, just this time only lar. Where he finally said, so how many racquets you want? I was like, woohooo! Yes yes yes!

Since MP Limited is out of stock, my friend was looking at other models, until I told him, wokeh, AR900 is 'special price'. And just so happens my friend set his eyes upon the CB21SP, and he ask, so boss, how low can you go on the CB21SP? RM213 was his reply. Immediately my friend said, ok and since he also fancies the AR900T, he said, I'll take these both... Wah so rich him ;)

To cut this short, I just said that I'll take the AR900P (3UG5), no need stringing. And he jokingly ask, why lar? You want to sell to other ppl izit? And I was like no lar, I just wanted to collect this just in case no more special deals in the future. He just laugh and punch in the cash register.

So a deal of 3 racquets this afternoon at special forum price. Thanks to you guys, cheers!

Again just a friendly reminder, please do not shout out that you're "from the forum", do it discretely (and hopefully no other customers are around). Coz Alan told me that if someone like that comes in, he won't give a single cent off their normal discount. I know alot of forum users, like me, enjoyed this promotion in Pertama Komplex. And, I believe, we found a way to keep it simple so that we could get what we wanted, especially 40%DC is real good deal.

Today I talked to the owner in pertamacomplex. His name is Sam btw. He told me that this will work better this way since he had some problems with previous method.

1. Purchaser need to email him what he wants
2. Name must be provided
3. Purchaser will receive the reply from sam or his staff
4. After receive message, visit shop downstair not upstair.
5. When you go down stair, just mention ur name and pay and pick up the stuff. There will be Sam or Kelly.

He said 40% Yonex rackets, 30% Yonex shoes, 20% Yonex shirts, n 30% all normal priced Nikes and Adidas. If you want other brand, you need to ask him through email before you arrive there. If you are from out of KL and Selangor, then you are more than welcome. If you wanna buy for ur friend or sell to ur friend, still ok for him.

They have YONEX STRING MACHINE ES5PRO which is World best badminton string machine. Two of them working in PC stringed rackets for almost 20years^^;; so I can say they are good. Harim who is Yonex certified stringer used to work there but not anymore, sad, because he knows many decent stringing style.

I mean... there are many ways to string the rackets and some of the stringing methods can cause the rackets to break. Harim knows how to minimize that risk by using few other method of stringing. He told me but I can't remember exactly. haha... The point is Harim is not there and other stringers are good. sh*** haha

Hard to explain but if I have the time maybe I post the the broken racket picture here....string push the metal inside between two gromet...maybe I should stick to the recommended tension, I strung it 26lbs at racket world...

Nisrol...u r right...I have try playing with 24lbs...seems does not feel right...Even AT900P recommended tension is 24lbs but I still strung it 26lbs...hope It does not break my racket also.

Well I think Ti-10 have durability issue if strung with high tension (above recommended). But overall it is a good racket.

Sogo got Head Metallix 4000 selling for RM269 and max tension is 28lbs...maybe gonna survey it...

ayiee1976: your Ti-10 must be more than a year in consistent of 25++lbs. Grommets near Tjoint sure starts sinking in. This is normal occasion. AT series have similar case too. Till todate Arcsaber series dun have such case I encounter.

I bought carlton from Jaya Jusco...coz got some JJ coupon...and guess what it has recommended tension of 28lbs for only RM179.00 (less coupon JJ coupon RM100):D...

About the stringer...I think Etakoh would not tension more than the recommended tension...I should listen to them!!!!:cool:

Some of the carlton racket have material issue for holding high tension, i had one 9902 (stated max 30lbx) strung 27lbs for 3-4 times, head frame cant withheld anymore, collapsed while playing. Carlton racket strung at 26 is the safest bet.

the cheapest one i ever seen is at Pertama Complex..shop in front of Topper Sport.. they sell it at MYR 620.00..but that one was 9 months ago..4UG4 racket..i believe that racket was sold already..

yesterday...i think at RM400 for 2nd gen and RM355 for 3rd
