chris-ccc 04-15-2008, 07:33 AM .
Greetings,
We now have the Results of Day 1 (Qualifying Rounds), as located at:
http://tournamentsoftware.com/sport/matches.aspx?id=20710&y=2008&m=4&d=15
Interesting Day 2 matches should be played by those players wishing to gain better ranking points for the Beijing Olympics 2008.
Will the CHN XD pair, Xie Zhongbo/Zhang Yawen show their expected form; a form that will allow them to enter as the third CHN XD pair for OG 2008?
Cheers... chris@ccc

Another interesting question in Day 2 of the Championships is whether KKK/LYG can match up with HHB/YY in the XD.

Errr, KKK/Goh LY are stratch pair. Goh is only 19, this is their 1st pairing. Their opponent He Habin/Yu Yang is winner of a couple of SS, including India Open earlier this month.
Today they managed to beat another stratch XD pair Lee/Jung. Lee normally partners LYD. But Msia seems to be experimenting too with XD, WPT is with Lim KW, not Ng Hui Lin. Hui Lin is totally out of ABC, dunno why, since she was in National GP & India Open
wonderful_wmc 04-15-2008, 09:32 AM coz NHL wanna to go to university to study. In National GP is the last tournament for hui lin for mixed doubles. In india open, khim wah is partner with goh liu ying.hui lin will only focus in uber cup now!
badMania 04-15-2008, 09:47 AM Today they managed to beat another stratch XD pair Lee/Jung. Lee normally partners LYD. But Msia seems to be experimenting too with XD, WPT is with Lim KW, not Ng Hui Lin. Hui Lin is totally out of ABC, dunno why, since she was in National GP & India Open
You got the wrong "Lee". Lee Hyo Jung is still partnering Lee Yong Dae, whereas, Lee Kyung Won (or Jung Jae Sung) does not usually play mixed doubles.
chris-ccc 04-15-2008, 10:20 AM .
BTW badMania... How are you rating Flandy Limpele/Vita Marissa's chances?
.
eaglehelang 04-15-2008, 10:24 AM You got the wrong "Lee". Lee Hyo Jung is still partnering Lee Yong Dae, whereas, Lee Kyung Won (or Jung Jae Sung) does not usually play mixed doubles.
he he, tq for the correction, so many "Lee"s. Anyway, tomm KKK/Goh will have to face up with a strong XD pair, hope they give good fight.
Jagdpanther 04-15-2008, 10:28 AM Hum... If they don't do anything 'funny', I believe they can beat their MJ opponents.
Rather, I'm hoping Andreas can beat LD. Is that a Mission Impossible, or is it doable?
Oh, and good luck to all our shuttlers, especially the younger ones! Indonesia Boleh!
chris-ccc 04-15-2008, 10:38 AM Rather, I'm hoping Andreas can beat LD. Is that a Mission Impossible, or is it doable?

If Andreas beat LD in Round 1, Tommy Sugiarto might get a chance to make it into the Semi Finals. ;)
.

Another interesting question in Day 2 of the Championships is whether KKK/LYG can match up with HHB/YY in the XD.
.
since they can beat jung/lee in 25 minutes...i think the match will atleast last for 3 set...hopefully...
badMania 04-15-2008, 08:06 PM .
BTW badMania... How are you rating Flandy Limpele/Vita Marissa's chances?
.
They should fulfill their seeding and face Zheng Bo/Gao Ling in the SF.

badMania 04-15-2008, 09:41 PM A pleasant surprise for Team INA as Mohd Rijal/Greysia Polii have beaten Sudket Prapakamol/Saralee Thoungthongkam 21-13, 21-13 comfortably  They will face a winnable tie against Singapore's no 1 pair Hendri Kurniawan Saputra/Li Yujia for a place in the last 8.
The top 2 pairs: Nova Widianto/Lilyana Natsir and Flandy Limpele/Vita Marissa progress to R16 also, both facing tricky ties against the Korean pair Hwang Ji Man/Kim Min Jung and the improving Chinese-Taipei pair Chen Hung-Ling/Chou Chia-Chi.
As feared, Devin Lahardi/Lita Nurlita fell once again to another Chinese-Taipei pair Tsai Chia-Hsin/Cheng Shao-Chieh 21-17, 15-21, 18-21. INA's promising pair of Tantowi Ahmad/Yulianti also lost as expected to Xie Zhongbo/Zhang Yawen 18-21, 7-21.
eagle, unlucky we cant see live score or live tv......very frustrated:mad::mad::mad:
I'm already very happy to see the results in the tournament software despite not having the live scores. But I wish the results could be updated faster since the last one was for the XD match between INA and MAS played at 9.40 am, an hour ago. ;)
Birdwood 04-15-2008, 09:48 PM .
If Andreas beat LD in Round 1, Tommy Sugiarto might get a chance to make it into the Semi Finals. ;)

My friend, long time no see. My apology for unattentative...
As for your comments, I hope you haven't joined the rank of progressive thinking :D Love to hear some reasoning :)

Although the scratch MAS pair lost, they gave a good account of themselves agains CHN's No.3 seed, gaining 18 points in both games. :)
badMania 04-15-2008, 09:53 PM News from Hau-Ge (who received the news from fastdrop):
Zheng Bo/Gao Ling lost to Fang Chieh-Min/Cheng Wen-Hsing
Fang/Lee won 21-15, 21-10 in 25 mins (as confirmed by tournamentsoftware).
Wow...this clears the path for Flandy/Vita to reach the Final!!
badadum 04-15-2008, 09:56 PM News from Hau-Ge (who received the news from fastdrop):
Zheng Bo/Gao Ling lost to Fang Chieh-Min/Cheng Wen-Hsing
Fang/Lee won 21-15, 21-10 in 25 mins (as confirmed by tournamentsoftware).
Wow...this clears the path for Flandy/Vita to reach the Final!!
Wha????? That's unbelievable...first time GL/ZB lost to anyone other than Nova/Butet and Sudkeet/Saralee..... are they injured or something?
vching 04-15-2008, 09:56 PM Gao/Zheng lost!
Now I really doubt their ability to win OG.
Birdwood 04-15-2008, 10:01 PM News from Hau-Ge (who received the news from fastdrop):
Zheng Bo/Gao Ling lost to Fang Chieh-Min/Cheng Wen-Hsing
Fang/Lee won 21-15, 21-10 in 25 mins (as confirmed by tournamentsoftware).
Wow...this clears the path for Flandy/Vita to reach the Final!!
Scores far apart, wondering what happened  I don't see GL playing WD so she's done for this ABC.
Birdwood 04-15-2008, 10:04 PM Just saw LD won over Andreas Adityawarman 21-13 in two games.
badMania 04-15-2008, 10:05 PM If Flandy/Vita reach the Final, then Xie/Zhang can wave goodbye to their ticket to Beijing, even though the Chinese pair could turn out to be the winner this Sunday.
Now, the 7th-seeded Han Sang Hoon/Hwang Yu Mi also suffered a humiliating defeat at the hand of a qualifying pair V. Diju/Jwalla Gutta 17-21, 21-23. Anggun Nugroho/Endang Nursugianti progress after beating Yohan Hadikusumo Wiratama/Koon Wai Chee 21-17, 21-15. I hope Anggun/Endang can beat the Indian pair.
eaglehelang 04-15-2008, 10:06 PM But I wish the results could be updated faster since the last one was for the XD match between INA and MAS played at 9.40 am, an hour ago. ;)
They started at 9.40 am..:D.
And Wow!, Taiwan XD beat Zhang Bo/Gao Ling in straight sets, hmmmm, weird... Wait & see who went to watch this morning.
abedeng 04-15-2008, 10:10 PM They started at 9.40 am..:D.
And Wow!, Taiwan XD beat Zhang Bo/Gao Ling in straight sets, hmmmm, weird... Wait & see who went to watch this morning.
Deja vu for Gao Ling, last time they lost to TPE pair, she was with Zhang Jun, and Cheng Weng Hsing was with another partner.
Birdwood 04-15-2008, 10:10 PM They started at 9.40 am..:D.
And Wow!, Taiwan XD beat Zhang Bo/Gao Ling in straight sets, hmmmm, weird... Wait & see who went to watch this morning.
From the quote earlier, fastdrop seems to be there
eaglehelang 04-15-2008, 10:11 PM And Razif/Chong SC becomes Msia's 2nd XD to go thru to round 2. Not too bad, these youngsters. They meet the Taiwanese giant killers who beat Zheng Bo/GL today.
badMania 04-15-2008, 10:11 PM Now, the Malaysian Junior pair Mohd Razif Abdul Latif/Chong Sock Chin also join in the fun as they created another upset, beating Keita Masuda/Miyuki Maeda also in straight sets 21-18, 21-15.
It's all jumbled up in the lower half of the XD draw :o.....to Team INA's advantage of course :D
badMania 04-15-2008, 10:14 PM Deja vu for Gao Ling, last time they lost to TPE pair, she was with Zhang Jun, and Cheng Weng Hsing was with another partner.
I have mentioned many times that I am impressed with Fang Chieh-Min (esp if he's playing with Lee Sheng-Mu)...he's really improving a lot these few months! I watched Fang/Cheng troubling Nova/Butet in the HK Open 2007 and MAS Open 2008. They managed to force rubber-sets in both occasion...so, they are not easy to handle.
samuel882 04-15-2008, 10:21 PM And Razif/Chong SC becomes Msia's 2nd XD to go thru to round 2. Not too bad, these youngsters. They meet the Taiwanese giant killers who beat Zheng Bo/GL today.
I am impressed with they way this pair played during National GP, they beat AJC & WJC respectively for the title there
Not too surprise with their win today, however they need to be more consistent.
BTW CSJ is cute and full of confidence :D
abedeng 04-15-2008, 10:21 PM I have mentioned many times that I am impressed with Fang Chieh-Min (esp if he's playing with Lee Sheng-Mu)...he's really improving a lot these few months!
I am more impressed with Cheng Weng Hsing. The pillar of the great WD pair from TPE. Fang is good, but hasn't been able to trouble experienced "Uncle-status" pairs.
Birdwood 04-15-2008, 10:26 PM Fastest match ever? 10' with a win by Tommy Sugiarto over Chanpisey Vann 21-4, 21-8.
badMania 04-15-2008, 10:27 PM Match-ups in XD R16:
Nova Widianto/Lilyana Natsir [1] vs Hwang Ji Man/Kim Min Jung -- a tough match for Nova/Butet....let's see what they are made of!
Xie Zhongbo/Zhang Yawen [5] vs Hsieh Yu-Hsin/Chien Yu-Chin -- the Chinese pair should progress, although the Chinese-Taipei pair might yet again surprise us.
He Hanbin/Yu Yang [3] vs Tan Wee Kiong/Woon Khe Wei -- it will be another huge upset if He/Yu were to lose tomorrow.
Lee Yong Dae/Lee Hyo Jung [8] vs Tsai Chia-Hsin/Cheng Shao-Chieh -- ditto for Lee/Lee.
Hendri Kurniawan Saputra/Li Yujia vs Mohd Rijal/Greysia Polii -- what a result for Rijal/Grace...and they can beat the Singaporean pair!
Chen Hung-Ling/Chou Chia-Chi vs Flandy Limpele/Vita Marissa [4] -- a repeat of Korean Open SF...and I hope Flandy/Vita can beat the CT pair yet again!
Anggun Nugroho/Endang Nursugianti vs V. Diju/Jwalla Gutta -- what a result for the Indian pair and Anggun/Endang better be careful!
Mohd Razif Abdul Latif/Chong Sock Chin vs Fang Chieh-Min/Cheng Wen-Hsing -- the CT pair to progress!
badMania 04-15-2008, 10:36 PM I am more impressed with Cheng Weng Hsing. The pillar of the great WD pair from TPE. Fang is good, but hasn't been able to trouble experienced "Uncle-status" pairs.
Fang Chieh-Min and Lee Sheng-Mu are still pretty young (22/21 yo respectively), compared to the more established WD pair of Chien Yu-Chin/Cheng Wen-Hsing (25/26 this year). Give them 1 more year and I think they can break into the top 15 (now ranked 23rd).
CLELY 04-15-2008, 10:54 PM Fastest match ever? 10' with a win by Tommy Sugiarto over Chanpisey Vann 21-4, 21-8.
Yup, no wonder C.Vann is coming from Nepal that very new to involve into this sport. Also Nguyen Tien Minh knocked out another Nepalese player with stunning score, 21-8 ; 21-2.
george@chongwei 04-15-2008, 11:04 PM what a surprise!!
zheng bo/gao ling lost their 1st round match!
Birdwood 04-15-2008, 11:05 PM Yup, no wonder C.Vann is coming from Nepal that very new to involve into this sport. Also Nguyen Tien Minh knocked out another Nepalese player with stunning score, 21-8 ; 21-2.
It says CAM. As you said, he's from Nepal, but representing Cambodian. So every country got to send players to ABC (?), now I understand why the match was so short. I'd think it would take longer just to serve all the points
leonardklh 04-15-2008, 11:06 PM zheng bo & gao ling lost? sudket & saralee lost? hwang& HAn lost? three also seeded... huge upset... hope more men single and women single of malaysia can create more upset...
vching 04-15-2008, 11:08 PM lets see whether Chen Jin can advance to the second round :P :P :P
Birdwood 04-15-2008, 11:14 PM lets see whether Chen Jin can advance to the second round :P :P :P
Now CJ entered next round by winning 21-10 in two games over Y Ashton Chen. Would you please tell me what ':P' stands for :rolleyes:
george@chongwei 04-15-2008, 11:15 PM wtf!! kennevic lost to a sri lankan player!!:(:(
my paw:(:(:(
CLELY 04-15-2008, 11:21 PM It says CAM,. As you said, he's from Nepal, but representing Cambodian. So every country got to send players to ABC (?), now I understand why the match was so short. I'd think it would took longer just to serve all the points
Oops! Sorry, C.Vann is Cambodian not Nepalese. Thanx for the correction, Birdwood.
Simon and Alam defeat their first opponent with same score, 21-16 and 21-9 but different time duration. Unfortunately, they must face each other in tonight second round!
george@chongwei 04-15-2008, 11:21 PM wow!!
chetan anand lost to endo of japan!!!
george@chongwei 04-15-2008, 11:27 PM any latest report from the stadium?
Birdwood 04-15-2008, 11:29 PM Sho Sasaki lost to CY in Day 2. Don't have the same curse as to PSH. 20-22, 10-21.
vching 04-15-2008, 11:52 PM I had a bad feeling about Kennevic.... But PAWed him coz everyone was... :@
jasonmarc 04-15-2008, 11:57 PM Can start to count the number of up-sets.......already...hehehe
BF has so many "agents" in ABC, why is the report almost non-existence? Come on, need more input here :D
Birdwood 04-16-2008, 12:32 AM BCL vs Jun Takemura (Jpn): 21-13, 21-16 28', not a too easy match.
badMania 04-16-2008, 12:36 AM Pretty straight forward so far in the Men's Singles, with so many unknown players being pitted against the favorites.
MS R32 Matchups (Top-Half) later on:
Lin Dan [1] vs Nguyen Tien-Minh -- an interesting match as Tien-Minh can be a tough nut to crack
Ronald Susilo vs Liao Sheng-Shiun -- Ronald to progress
Lee Hyun Il [8] vs Dinuka Karunaratne -- a breeze for Lee
Ng Wei [16] vs Tommy Sugiarto -- one of the match of the round...I have a feeling Tommy might prevail later!
Chen Jin [4] vs Hiroyuki Endo -- Chen Jin to progress!
Simon Santoso [10] vs Alamsyah Yunus -- ditto for Simon!
Chen Yu [8] vs Shih Kuei-Chun -- ditto for Chen Yu!
Wong Choong Hann [11] vs Kenichi Tago -- another potential upset here.
chris-ccc 04-16-2008, 12:38 AM My friend, long time no see. My apology for unattentative...

I thought that is the usual arrangement with tourney that has R64 in MS (the GP & Gold GP events). Either 2 matches in the first day (with doubles being postponed to the second day), or 2 matches in the second day (if doubles are played in the first day).
Total matches:
Day 1 (32+16 in MS, 16 each in WS & XD) = 80
Day 2 (16 each in MD & WD, 8 each in 5 events) = 72
Alternative arrangements:
Day 1 (32 in MS, 16 each in 4 events) = 96
Day 2 (16 in MS, 8 each in 5 events) = 56

Thanks for explaining it, appreciated. But, some of those matches played were not very competitive at all, I guess no easy way out with this many players entered.
Birdwood 04-16-2008, 01:00 AM P Kashyap (Ind) won over Lu Yi: 11-21, 21-17, 21-10. Looked like the latter run out of energy after first game (?)

P. Kashyap vs Bao Chunlai [3] -- a disaster if Bao were to lose!
Tan Chun Seang vs Kendrick Lee Yen Hui [16] -- an interesting derby match...between SIN and MAS players.

Yeoh Kay Bin vs Boonsak Ponsana [9] -- should be quite a match...Boonsak has an edge though...

Woke up late, maybe .....:p
chris-ccc 04-16-2008, 01:57 AM Time for a long break for players and organizers: lunch + nap (maybe more as a rest back at hotel)
.
NTM to give a big fight against LD tonight?:confused::confused:
.
abedeng 04-16-2008, 01:58 AM and he will meet Hafiz Hashim next...upset again maybe
Not a chance ......
abedeng 04-16-2008, 02:00 AM .
NTM to give a big fight against LD tonight?:confused::confused:
.
Hopefully, yes. I look forward to it. LD should be wary.
If NTM were Malaysian, Indonesian or Korean, he would have made the grade as a top player, perhaps be even better than he is now.
chris-ccc 04-16-2008, 02:04 AM Woke up late, maybe .....:p
.
And perhaps ate too much Roti Canai ... :p
.
stork 04-16-2008, 02:06 AM Woke up late, maybe .....:p
that would be very stupid, after getting in the maindraw of such a big tournament  ... doubt he will have this chance ever again :o
vching 04-16-2008, 02:08 AM hmm.... can the BF officials in johor give us some insight?
X Ball 04-16-2008, 02:12 AM Woke up late, maybe .....:p
He came to the wrong sport, brought his squash racket instead of the badminton one.:D Thought it was the same.
robin7 04-16-2008, 02:14 AM If Flandy/Vita reach the Final, then Xie/Zhang can wave goodbye to their ticket to Beijing, even though the Chinese pair could turn out to be the winner this Sunday.
It's a tough task for Xie/Zhang to progress into even semi-finals but Flandy/Vita look good for a place in the finals after Zheng/Gao and Sudket/Saralee's losses.
Woke up late, maybe .....:p
Don't think so, that would be a walkover. But a disqualification could mean he turned up but ...maybe wore the wrong shirt...brought a tennis racket instead ... ermmm:rolleyes::rolleyes::rolleyes:
badMania 04-16-2008, 02:24 AM It's a tough task for Xie/Zhang to progress into even semi-finals but Flandy/Vita look good for a place in the finals after Zheng/Gao and Sudket/Saralee's losses.
Fang Chieh-Min/Cheng Wen-Hsing took care of Zheng Bo/Gao Ling [2].
Meanwhile, Flandy/Vita's own team-mates Mohd Rijal/Greysia Polii took care of Sudket Prapakamol/Saralee Thoungthongkam [6].
Meanwhile, the 2 Korean pairs in their half are also eliminated:
Lee Jae Jin/Ha Jung Eun lost to another CT pair Chen Hung-Ling/Chou Chia-Chi, so, Flandy/Vita will meet them tomorrow.
Han Sang Hoon/Hwang Yu Mi [7] lost (shockingly) to the Indian pair V. Diju/Jwalla Gutta. That has somewhat made the job easier for Anggun Nugroho/Endang Nursugianti tomorrow.
Progress to Final could be as follows:
R16: vs Chen Hung-Ling/Chou Chia-Chi
QF: vs Mohd Rijal/Greysia Polii or Hendri Kurniawan Saputra/Li Yujia
SF: vs Fang Chieh-Min/Cheng Wen-Hsing or Anggun Nugroho/Endang Nursugianti
It will be a disaster if Flandy/Vita can't beat these pairs :o
robin7 04-16-2008, 02:34 AM Zheng/Gao [2] lost to Taiwanese pair Fang/Cheng in 15-21 10-21 in 25 mins.:eek::eek::eek:
Sudket/Saralee [6] lost in straight sets 13-21 13-21 to Indonesians Rijal/Greysia.:eek::eek:
Han/Hwang [7] lost in 17-21 21-23 to Indians Diju/Jwala.:eek::eek::eek:
Chan Yan Kit [14] lost to Malaysian Mohd Arif in 16-21 23-25.
Jagdpanther 04-16-2008, 02:39 AM Progress to Final could be as follows:
R16: vs Chen Hung-Ling/Chou Chia-Chi
QF: vs Mohd Rijal/Greysia Polii or Hendri Kurniawan Saputra/Li Yujia
SF: vs Fang Chieh-Min/Cheng Wen-Hsing or Anggun Nugroho/Endang Nursugianti
If they manage to take care of them all (hopefully), which pair will be their opponent in Final?
badMania 04-16-2008, 02:46 AM If they manage to take care of them all (hopefully), which pair will be their opponent in Final?
Depends on which pair emerges from the top-half. Likely to be a toss among Nova/Butet [1], He/Yu [3], Xie/Zhang [5], or Lee/Lee [8].
limsy 04-16-2008, 03:01 AM will hafiz selected if he lost to arif???...
ye333 04-16-2008, 03:03 AM Hi, badMania, beware. Will Rijal/Polii give Flandy/Vita a WO should they meet in QF?;) Note that it is clearly claimed that one goal of the Indo team in ABC is to prevent Xie/Zhang from getting into OG.

Oh I saw the wrong one. So it is young Hafiz instead of Hashim.
I need to cancel my PAW. TQ :o
Louisa 04-16-2008, 03:05 AM Hi, badMania, beware. Will Rijal/Polii give Flandy/Vita a WO should they meet in QF?;)
I m hoping to see a good fight, not walkover, not injury in the middle of the match, nor exhibition match like what we saw in Europe last month...remember how we react when all these happened last month...
badMania 04-16-2008, 03:15 AM Hi, badMania, beware. Will Rijal/Polii give Flandy/Vita a WO should they meet in QF?;) Note that it is clearly claimed that one goal of the Indo team in ABC is to prevent Xie/Zhang from getting into OG.
WO..maybe not, but, I think Flandy/Vita will take this one ;) Moreover, Grace needs to secure a ticket for her WD too...so...the coach will probably ask her to concentrate on that task. Straight-sets victory perhaps...hehe :D? Fair on that right?
Definitely, the match is not going to be as toughly fought as the China Open QF or the HK Open SF 2007 when Flandy/Vita face Nova/Butet twice in a row and lost in rubber-sets in both occasions.
Indeed, that will be one major goal of Flandy/Vita in the BAC this week. Go to the Final and eliminate Xie/Zhang from getting a ticket. Now, half of the work is done by others (with 3-seeds eliminated in just a single morning) Let's pray that they will not fall to the improving CT pair tomorrow :o

From above possible opponents, yeah it's absolutely Flandy/Vita have bright chance to cruise into last round. Favourable situation for FlaVi that three XD seeded pairs got early exit where all of them are grouped at bottom-half draw.

Yep, a boost for Flandy/Vita's mission definitely today...
reiko80 04-16-2008, 03:28 AM hope so..................................
ye333 04-16-2008, 03:31 AM Good argument. :D
It's true that even without team order, Rijal/Polii may not be very motivated to take this one.
The bottom line is it must not be a WO or some "sudden injury".

Yup...agree....unless Mohd Rijal is injured, I don't think it will be a WO. Team INA does not like walkover  However, if Grace got injured again (like in the WC 2007), then, simply bad luck to her as u will definitely see WO in her WD match for sure :o

Hmm..Jason,so sad today..I can't went to stadium to watch Lee Yong Dae and other cuties..:crying::D:D..Hope i can meet them tomorrow if i have time to go or else i must pray that he is in the semi final..;);)
eaglehelang 04-16-2008, 05:17 AM I am impressed with they way this pair played during National GP, they beat AJC & WJC respectively for the title there
Not too surprise with their win today, however they need to be more consistent.
BTW CSJ is cute and full of confidence :D
Wah.. our Samuel also find Chong SC interesting, he he he :D:D:D
It says CAM. As you said, he's from Nepal, but representing Cambodian. So every country got to send players to ABC (?), now I understand why the match was so short. I'd think it would take longer just to serve all the points
Kah kah, kah, I was wondering too.
Can start to count the number of up-sets.......already...hehehe
I counted 5 now.
A MS player Abbas Abdulrahman from Iraq was "Disqualified" for ?
Is there such a rule? How does a player become disqualified????
And..... I'm surprised when I came back to see our young Arif won over Chan Yan Kit, even more surpsied to see Lydia Cheah beat Kaori Mori in straight sets.
WHat happened to the seeded players/pairs? Taking a break after knowing they're safe for OG??
perunce 04-16-2008, 05:28 AM Lydia Cheah beat Kaori Mori 21-14 in both games, surprise surprise, i hope Malaysian Uber is getting ready for the Uber Cup next month

badylife 04-16-2008, 05:55 AM i think the player came late so he was disqualified or maybe he got too many red cards from umpire.lol
demolidor 04-16-2008, 06:03 AM i think the player came late so he was disqualified or maybe he got too many red cards from umpire.lol
:D Like was said before: if he's late it would be a walkover and if he got red cards there would probably be some sort of score and I would have gotten my PAW points ;).
vching 04-16-2008, 06:06 AM Maybe he was found to be using steroids. Or he was under the influence of cocaine or alchohol. Or maybe his equipment was found to be in breach. RFLOL, you guys really give very hilarious reasons. :D:D This guy flew all the way from Iraq just to be 'disqualified'. If he was sick/injured/withdrew, they would have put it up as "no match" or 'walkover'.

Simon Santoso was also involved in a rubber-set against Alamsyah Yunus, taking it 14-21, 21-16, 21-16. Sony Dwi Kuncoro strolled through after a relatively comfortable 21-17, 21-19 victory in half an hr.

samuel882 04-16-2008, 08:03 AM Young Tommy Sugiarto nearly beat Ng Wei, after taking the first set 21-16, only to lose the second set 20-22 and the rubber-set 16-21
Simon Santoso was also involved in a rubber-set against Alamsyah Yunus, taking it 14-21, 21-16, 21-16. Sony Dwi Kuncoro strolled through after a relatively comfortable 21-17, 21-19 victory in half an hr.
Simon has an uphill task against Chen Jin (who had a rest tonight), while Sony will possible face Shoji Sato (if there's no upset).
aLAMSYAH should have "Let" SS win it in straight sets:D A wasted energy for SS ahead of uphill task against ChenJin tomorrow who is well rested:o

ye333 04-16-2008, 08:55 AM LCW trying to copy what LD did so far LOL. :D
He managed to get the same score (13,13) in the first match, but failed to do an exact copy this time -- opponent is stronger and harder to control. Only managed to get the games right (lose-win-win, 2:1). :D
Looks like LCW won in 3 sets (based on TournamentSoftware).
limsy 04-16-2008, 08:56 AM ALL MAS senior MS (except LCW & WCH) are useless and some juniors are much better than them.
atleast we have some good player like: all england champion,HH(just for 2001,march)...lts win against TH in guangdong 2002(just for 2002 TC),roslin hashim...world no.1(just for 2001)
peace...they played their role...atleast...now we doesnt need them...we have lee chong wei...
but at that time,we need to win all england champion,so HH appeare to win it...we need to won over TH in 2002 TC,so we have lts...i think lts suit more with 7-point score system...dont say they are useless...every player has his own role...maybe after five year, when arif and tcs become lee chong wei,and lee hong wei become like roslin, many will critic him too...right???
peace

eaglehelang 04-16-2008, 09:02 AM ALL MAS senior MS (except LCW & WCH) are useless and some juniors are much better than them.
Dont be angry, my fellow bird. After OG, YKH said they'll be updraded to senior squad. TCS have been waiting eagerly to get in, time he does so to catch up with 'senior ko ko' LCW and super senior WCH.
robin7 04-16-2008, 09:03 AM atleast we have some good player like: all england champion,HH(just for 2001,march)...lts win against TH in guangdong 2002(just for 2002 TC),roslin hashim...world no.1(just for 2001)
