when once lcw cant find the feeling in the beginning...its rarely he can win the title...in FO and JO last year, this year MO,he are at the best,in term of feeling...when he start to strugling, like AE(in quater) and SO(in semis) this year,he cant win the next match...just like this tournament, strugling yesterday...and lost today

robin7
04-17-2008, 06:05 AM
LCW didn't lose badly and I guess Boonsak played better today.

LCW lost to a guy whom he has beaten 16 times? It reminds me of Andy Roddick beating Roger Federer in Miami recently.

We can't expect LCW winnng all the time. LCW wasn't prepared to play in ABC but was asked by Misbun.

I'm disappointed but I can accept it. Hope he can take a good rest and bounce back strongly in the TC and OG.

Anyway, good effort for participating in the BAC, i read from the newspaper that most of the central asia countries are first timers.

Why is it an embarrassment ? Should we salute for they courage?
I will question the other side on their .... ? why need to give someone nothing ? would you ? remember when Peter Gade come to young Taufik after he lost the single match in Sudirman Cup, he pet him and give an encouragement. That is what I call gentlemen with professional attitude.

Let me give you guys an original excuse for LCW lost this time. Blame it on the late draw, because of this,
1. LCW didn't have enough time to find the videos to study the opponents. Or
2. LCW spent too much time watching the videos at night, so the bad performance.

Hope this help LCW fan to sleep better tonight. :)

Cmon gals/guys, prove how wrong badmania is!! :)

I bet u didn't read my predictions
I predicted that BOTH WD Pairs will win their match.

I predicted that Rijal/Grace beat Saputra/Li, only to see the Singaporean pair winning it.

Let see if my predictions on the MD will be correct. I stand by my predictions...only Luluk/Alvent will progress to the QF, although I will be pleasantly surprised if BOTH Nova/Candra and AG/Joko turn up winning their matches later on, against the WC 2007 Bronze Medallist and the AE Champion 2008 respectively.

Surely...Nova will get triple winning today...:p:cool::D and AG/Joko will give hard fighting to the young Korean to prove they are acceptable for INA Thomas Cup team...hopefully they can win it...

Hafiz win the match..What can i say..I think everyone now is motivated to prove themselves..But i cannot see BCL in the semi final..:crying::crying::D

chong wei lost...13 upset

Yeah, upset no 12 & 13 happened at same time.

for the first time in many years, Hafiz has gone further than Lee in a tournament

I came back after dinner and found.... the one expected to win... lost, the one expected to lose, won. Hafiz must have read Misbun's comment in the press abt him + all the criticism, earger to prove he's worthy of no 3 MS in TC finals.

And our MD uncles cruised to QF...

Agreed! KKK/TBH is the only M'sia pair who could win title. Uncle is consistent, but most of the time came out short. The rest could upset some first class pairs, but can't hang on and go all the way!

Errr, some dont think so & were advocating splitting KKK/TBH, or pull them out of OG - like Rexy's outburst.
Fuzzy is getting clearer, still not 'clear' enuf to win titles, credit to Courageous SHortie for his boldness. Fairuz has to overcome his "nervous at crucial point" syndrome.
Uncles.... well, CTF still have the crucial match syndrome

TBH seems to have gotten back some of his fearless self, at least he got a fearless self.
Seems all of them got their syndromes :D

Oh yeah, Epap, our MS uncle WCH got any syndrome? He seems pretty solid all these years.

While INA's casualties are 1 MS, 1 WS, 1 MD, and 1 XD. Still, good effort by them all.

I like him! He is quite solid & consistent, no syndrome :D. Most of time he lost were due to stamina or the opponents have better skills. In short, good player, but not great.

Jo/Gres will go to OG finally.......

I Think that depend on how far Russian pair Ekaterina/Anastasi. How far they make their trip in European Championships. Jo/Grace have to break 'big' 17 world ranking if they want to qualify in ollympic. Because Zhao Tingting/Yang Wei will be out from top 20 next week. Well, let's hope some miracle that's Eka/Ana (seeded 3) will not reach as far as Jo/Grace get in Asia Championships.

Probable backup for TC, but afterward, more than likely they'll do nothing. Nova is planning to retire after OG.

nothing wrong to discuss why LCW lost. This is a forum, this is what we do here. If you don't have anything constructive to say, just STFU.

Interesting developments in R3:

Loss of BCL to MH Hashim - it proves the theory of "try, try again". There will always be hope if one just keeps trying

Loss of LCW to BP - a rising BP on the momentum from his recent win in Indian Open proved to be too much for a battle-wary LCW after his losses in AE 08 (to LD) and Swiss Open 08 (to CJ). Maybe he's really in need to rest and refresh instead of being pushed into this tourney, but he will come back strong like what BP just did :)

Tomorrow, it's the "judgment day" - between LD and LHI since MO 08 (LD and LHI are on good terms as players). LD has not played that well in the last two days, I wouldn't be surprised if he fails to dislodge LHI, but either way the score should be close ;)

Msian linesmen are the best, and no point for anyone to get upset. Just a pure and simple, but all-out match is to be expected :p

That's a good idea.

Half of the spectators should wear heavy eye glasses and shout "in"! The other half then throw racket-shaped balloons. :D

Absolutely... if u read my previous post on why Misbun insisted LCW to play in ABC though LCW claimed he was tired and needed a break. Now, Misbun has backfired and I hope LCW's confident is not tarnished :crying: It's absolutely meaningless for LCW to participate as far as OG08 is concerned!!!

It's a good thought and I'd congratulate Misbun on that. But Muhammad Hafiz Hashim is far from the other half of LCW, who is the torch bearer for Mas MS and a baddy medal hopeful for OG 08.

Eagle, any news from Misbun in press or TV interview about LCW vs BP match? I think he has lost some creditability after he came up with "new strategy" from Chn players to explain away LCW's loss in Swiss Open 08. Now a non-Chn player who had previously lost to LCW every time overtook LCW in ABC 08. It's plain and simple: LCW was tired then and now.

Lee said his loss was down to fatigue - he had wanted to take a break after winning his sixth successive national title last month but coach Misbun Sidek wanted him to play in the ABC.

"I am tired and wanted a break after the national championships. But I was told to play in the ABC. So I just took orders," Lee said.
====================

I was quite furious when LCW told Misbun that he wanted to skip ABC few weeks ago but Misbun insisted him to play. It's 100% meaningless for LCW to play and now he lost to Boonsak for the first time

The question is why Lee CW "offered" himself to play for National GP 2 weeks ago, but intend to skip this ABC
He can skip the National GP but participate in ABC, infact, he choose the other way around :o
If he fail to get the 1st point for MAS TC Team, especially during the Crucial Ties. Will he blame on Misbun for forcing him to play in the ABC?Hopes it will not turn out to be endless excuses..
