To all Badminton Enthusiasts!

The Kitchener-Waterloo Badminton Club is proud to host the third annual Pointfore K-W Invitational badminton tournament! This is an open tournament for everyone and it is guaranteed to be filled with friends, food and fun! We invite you all to come participate in this doubles (men and women) and mixed doubles tournament.


This posting is advanced notice when registration will begin so that you can begin finding your partners!

In order to guarantee the quality and duration of games, we will be limiting the number of entries per event. This means that the draw will fill up quickly so make sure you register early!

Last year, the club managed to raise over $900 to help with the ongoing renovations at the K-W Badminton Club. We've made some drastic changes to the facility so come visit us again to see the changes that have been made over the past year since our last invitational!


EVENT DETAILS:

Date: Saturday, June 7, 2008
Location: K-W Badminton Club (69 Agnes Street, Kitchener, Ontario)

Registration and Warm-up: 8:30am
Men’s Doubles: 9:00am
Ladies’ Doubles: 11:30am
Mixed Doubles: 5:00pm

Draw Format: Minimum 3 Games Each Team Per Draw (ABCD)
Draw Limitations: 32 Men's Doubles Teams, 16 Ladies' Doubles Teams, 40 Mixed Doubles Teams

Cost: $25 for one Event, $30 for two Events
Lunch and Snacks: Will Be Provided!
Shuttles: A and B Draws - Feather (Not Provided)
C and D Draws - Nylon Shuttles (will be provided)

The first round of the A draw will be played with nylon.
(Option of using Feather Shuttles at the discretion of both teams)
Prizes: LOTS of prizes!

REGISTRATION BEGINS: Thursday, May 1, 2008
REGISTRATION DEADLINE: Saturday, May 31, 2008

To register for the tournament, fill out the form found on the website and email it to tournament@pointfore.ca once registration begins. Partner Requests are available so fill out the form and we will try our best to match you with a partner.

Just as a quick update, the tournament is already halfway full for all events with just 2.5 weeks remaining for registration. If you're considering playing in this invitational, then you'd better sign up soon!
