Hey!
I was just looking around and I found out that Leonardo DiCaprio and Paul Newman (both big Hollywood stars) played and still play badminton (not the backyard thingy, of course). Talk about a funny fact!
My natural curiosity being uncontrollable as it is, I'm asking everyone if you know some other celebrities (famous around the world) that either played competitive badminton or still play. Please include what level of badminton they achieved (national, just for fun...).

Lol, I should have extended my search to other forums. It seems the subject has been widely discussed on another badminton forum, badders.com.
After a quick look, I learned that Chow Yun Fat and Jet Li are both badminton fans and skilled players. Funny! I bet they're fast as hell.

i heard that a few actors from Hong Kong, apart from Sally, Jacky and Jet, also play Badminton......Ekin Cheng and one more guy but i do not know his real name but i think he is known as "ma chun wai" or something like dat...

while watching the 08 olympic badminton live feed from nbc, the online commentator had written in the commentary column that he exchanged email with Paul Newman, and found out Paul was a badminton fan. In the exchange the commentator quoted Paul N. saying 'Badminton is like watching improvisational theatre, so much happening in such small space.'

Hmm! Maybe of the next US Open can be co-sponsored by Newmans' Own Salad Dressing :D:D

Sunil Gavaskar plays badminton quite often...

For those of you who don't know, Sunil Gavaskar is a famous ex Indian cricketer, who until recently held a very high post (I forget what post it was) at the International Cricket Council.

It would be nice though to see pictures of this celebs in action. :)
