Hi, i recently got the Armortec 900 power sp, it is 4UG4, and i want to know what kind of tension is needed for a harder smash.

Right now the tension is 24 and it is really slow, is there anyway i can tighten it with out un-restringing it and putting new strings?

Thanks

at 24lbs, one can generate booming smash.
please provide more infos;

i think he meant you need to improve your technique (swing mechanics). at900power wont automatically give you booming smashes if your swing is not correct.

Indeed, 900P is a hard racket to work with if your technique is not quite there yet. It requires accurate swing speed and hitting the sweet spot to get the required results, ditto for all rackets actually, just that 900P is more fussy than other more forgiving rackets.

i am just beginning to get used to my 900p and it has been 6 times of 2 hours play. but it is worth the patience.

good to hear that. At900P is a stiff racket, not easily to whip it.
better training to handle it to the full potential.

the Armortec 900 power sp, it is 4UG4

btw, it is 4U. at this weight, power is less produced from the racket.

it says that 4U is good for 27-28lb Tension

who said??

27-28lbs isnt recommended by Yonex.
but many players do string at that tension.

Any racket can be strung at any their possible tension, but players will not always be able to play well with any tension.Too low or too high will influence his/her game.

Do you think i can tighten the strings to a higher tension without redoing all the stringing?

If the sticker on your cone above the grip says 27-28lbs, it's fake.

That being said, I don't think you can tighten the strings without getting a restringing. You'll have to string it again.
