Yeah, all Thomas Cup frontrunners bring 10 players (maximum quota) except KOR. Looks like KOR has high confidence with their materials and no surprise if KOR will produce a new scratch pair on TUC match. Let's see whether Park Sung Hwan or Lee Hyun Il will take part into men's doubles match...

I hope that not going to happen as I really like to see the champion has a chance to defence her title. Similarly, again LYB has a choice to pick the more experience pair against the young and not so experience pair. Again, I hope not as I think that may push GL to her physical limit to play 2 doubles is such an important tournment.

I'm surprised as well when I c no ZN in the UC Team...As LYB mentioned b4, she's the 'spirit & inspiration' of CHN squads, now, by excluding her from the UC Team, I might say that......

Well, according to LYB, he wants ZN to rest more & concentrating on her OG, btw, she still suffers from some injuries......Anyway, I won't be surprised IF, ZN is excluded in OG08 as well, and replace by ZL......BUT I still wish to c ZN in OG08.

As for WD, is understood that LYB prefer ZTT/GL than DJ/YY. The key person is GL, LYB relies on GL very much, just like he relies on ZN b4...

This is one i have to agree.Korean is an excitement.
Not only the dramas on telly.But the plot of restructing their lineups in badminton- it keep the climax moving on a right track.

For now,i really hope my idol can do his revenge on those korean guys.

Totally agree...MD in the Korean team are the strongest and more stable based on their current performance.

Even with ZN absent (as a player), the CHN team is no less weaker. ZN's current form has been spotty and I think both LL and ZM were probably playing better than her anyway.

You are right....but we do not know if LYB will field ZN or not....if ZN and XXF are in then LYB will decide LL/ZL..I think LL is front runner...her perfomance this year is much more stable than ZL or even ZN or XXF..LL will be going...

Rexy obviously has his own style of coaching, and while I will not comment on whether I agree on it or not, this is no reason to attack Malaysia.

1. I personally feel Indonesia as one of my closest country: When all Malaysian players are out, I support Indonesian players. I personally love Taufik, and an admiration for Markis' smash. I think Indonesia and Malaysia's relationship is harmonious enough.

I believe as a professional coach,Rexy is just voiced out his opinion,which is so common in any other sports,the coaches are giving their comment(i mean in a construtive way). As a coach for Msia, Rexy cant say "I'm worried about Chandra/Nova" or anything along those lines since that would show he has no confidence in msia team.
I did say before as a foreign coach, Rexy must show loyalty to the country he coach, he just said he's not worried about Chandra/Nova combination. Since he's from Indonesia, Rexy is constantly bugged by Msia press for opinions on Indonesia players.
If you feel offended, means you read too much into what Rexy said (if Rexy actually said it the way it was presented in the press).

“Saya tak terlalu khawatir dengan masuknya Nova/Candra di tim Thomas Indonesia. Di Kejuaraan Asia, mereka tak menang atas pasangan Malaysia karena tak ada kesempatan untuk berhadapan,” lanjut mantan pasangan Ricky Subagdja ini.

"I'm not too worried with Candra/Nova being included in Indonesia TC team. In the Asian Championships, they didn't win over Malaysian pairs because there wasn't any chance for them to have a match," former Ricky Subagdja's partner continues his statement.

I think Jagdpanther, you misunderstood the meaning -look at the one that came out in Berita Harian, 25 April (exceprts only) :

If you read the Berita Harian statement, you can see the main points are the same, just depends how the media slant it : Rexy does NOT want to be too worried abt Indonesia's line-up, including Chandra/Nova combo. That's Msia 3 MD pairs are also solid.
Rexy has to be seen to support Msia - stimes maybe he try too hard - cos (as I have repeated bf) some 'parties' think Rexy being foreign coach is not 100% loyal to Msia.
Plus this time it's being held in his home country Indonesia.

Means : Msia still have chance, also have 3 good MD pairs, it's not like it's a goner if Msia play Indonesia. It is true in terms of MD, Msia & Indonesia MD, in terms of head to head are quite even.

The above from bola news seems to have come from 2 separate interviews in Msia press. I find it odd that Indonesia media make it sound Rexy so against Indonesia when Msia press put it more neutral - like Rexy trying to reassure everyone, which is what is expected of him.

And I'm so sorry for being, well, childish.
At some point I thought he gave that statement for 3 reasons:
1. He tries his best to encourage his players.
2. He's performing some psycho-war or something like that.
3. He's desperate to show MAS media that he's 100% siding with MAS.

After reading that Berita Harian article and your opinion, I will say that his true reasons are combination of no.1 and 3.
