I remember that villeneuve and Pan_Leung telling me the same thing before they finally managed to post.

Hi Chris, i did activate my account through the link, but I think the problem was that those that had less than 5 posts would be moderated. This is to reduce spam, according to BC.

so you should post one more time. ahahah

Samson. You have been added to our Wednesday session namelist.
Like what kikks9 said; soon you will become a Registered User. :D:D:D
It is strange that you could post in this thread, but not in the other.

Hi Samson.,
Hahaha... You are still not a "Registered User", after 5 postings.:confused::confused:
You might want to read this thread that I found: What is 'registered users'? (http://www.badmintoncentral.com/forums/showthread.php?t=52963)
Btw remember to let us know as soon as you have become a "Registered User", as to after how many postings, so that we can answer questions asked the above thread.
Cheers... chris@ccc

i read through but still there is no definite answer. I have suddenly become a "Registered User" and I think the post # has to be 5 or above. Hopefully I can post properly now.

Greetings,
It's good to know that more than a hundred of our players@CCC are now members@BC. :):):)
An estimation of our memberships:
10% are "New Members"
45% are "Registered Users"
45% are "Regular Members".
From Samson.'s case study, we now know that our "New Members" could experience delays in their postings because their postings would need to be moderated.
We wish to have all our players@CCC registered@BC.
CCC communication via BC is efficient. Emails sent to me are too numerous sometimes; and I could not cope replying. :o:o:o
Most of our players@CCC could answer questions asked; when I am away from the computer.
Cheers... chris@ccc

I have suddenly become a regular member, but by the time i noticed it i had 14 posts, so i'm not sure as to how much really triggered the status change. =)

Just 2 days ago, kwun have decided to remove the "Registered User" category.
Now, all members are either "New Members" or "Regular Members". :):):)

Another player@ccc, Andre-C, is having problem.
====== * ====== start mail ====== * ======
Hi Chris,
I got a problem when i want to post a thread, The problem is:
you do not have permission to access this page. This could be due to one of several reasons:
Your user account may not have sufficient privileges to access this page. Are you trying to edit someone else's post, access administrative features or some other privileged system?
If you are trying to post, the administrator may have disabled your account, or it may be awaiting activation. Can u help me with that?
====== * ====== end mail ====== * ======
Andre-C... Just be patient. If you have done less than 5 posts, or if your last post was done ages ago, then your new post could be awaiting to be moderated.
I am not sure myself.:confused::confused:
Cheers... chris@ccc

I am getting lost about this matter myself.:confused::confused:
Again, Daniel-C informed me that he cannot post in our Wednesday thread today.
Perhaps, as kikks9 said... Maybe you guys got to post more often. :):):)

Allow me to explain this, please.
Until new members attain more than just a couple of posts, the BC system treats their activities with caution ;)
For instance, BC will block a post or a thread by a new member if it contains certain symbols, words and/or phrases popular with spammers and scammers. e.g. 'free'
Such posts will be automatically reported to the moderators... and, if they are deemed to be legitimate posts, they will be electronically approved (and will subsequently appear within the thread).
In your particular case (that of CCC), it appears that the '@' in chris@ccc is the culprit :D
The @ symbol is, of course, a certainty in all kinds of spam. Perhaps CCC could ask its new members to avoid using '@' until they are a few posts old.

In case anyone's worried, please note that this screening mechanism applies only to new, just-in members :)
The veterans are free to use @ with abandon :D

chris, it happened again with ooiboonbeng and chao2k5.
As mentioned earlier, it's because of the hyperlink in the post.
The system is designed to prevent 'just-joined members' from posting hyperlinks
(which resembles what bots and spammers regularly do).
The blocking happens also when a 'just-joined member' quotes a post which contains a hyperlink.
The way out is to avoid the hyperlink in the add-on players-list :)
----------
PS: I will leave it to you to now sort out the players' list.
.
Hi 'just-joined members' at CCC,
Here, Oldhand is saying that we cannot have 'hyperlink' in our first few posts.
If you are still experiencing problems in your postings, please email me at chris@cccbadminton.com
Cheers... chris-ccc

Just a reminder to all CCCers new to Badminton Central.
When you are new to BC, do not submit posts containing '@' and/or 'hyperlink'.
If you wish to address your post to me, type chris-ccc (not chris@ccc).
.
yes. that's true. sorry about the policy but it is very effective at filtering spammers in the site. if chris you need to have your username changed, we will be happy to do so for you.

:D:D:D Hahaha, we are now in the right thread to talk about this matter. Sandy would be pleased for us the leave his PAW thread alone.
For CCCers who are confused over this matter, please read from Post #405 to #421 of this thread: http://www.badmintoncentral.com/forums/showthread.php?t=64511

Perhaps, our CCCers new BC are more worried about their registration; not why their posts are delayed.
Just now, I received this email:
