Saw a Carbonex 20 Tour SP for sale at Yonex Dealer. The racket is without shaft serial number & cone code but with the PBSI & Yonex Gold sticker. Is it a fake one ? Please advise , thank you.

The racket is without shaft serial number & cone code but with the PBSI & Yonex Gold sticker. Is it a fake one ? Please advise , thank you. sifuyono 05-02-2008, 02:09 AM no i dont think so, because it's an old model, so there's no shaft and cone number. mine also dont have one (if i'm not mistaken) i'll take a loak mine for confirmation SpendorK 05-02-2008, 02:40 AM How old is the racket ? Thank you. :):):) SpendorK 05-02-2008, 03:50 AM Is it worth to pay S$150 ? :):):) Dreamzz 05-02-2008, 04:16 AM is the logo the old one or the new one? if it's the new logo, sgd150 might be on the high side. SpendorK 05-02-2008, 05:52 AM Is this old or new logo ? Just bought it at S$130. http://i192.photobucket.com/albums/z69/calaf_2007/PICT0111.jpg http://i192.photobucket.com/albums/z69/calaf_2007/PICT0110.jpg jhirata 05-02-2008, 06:21 AM That's the new logo. OldBadFan 05-02-2008, 06:56 AM Spendork, Like Sifuyono said, this model is old, in fact very old. I do have one of this for (if my memory has not gone astray) more than 15 years. From the photos, the racket seems to be black in colour but mine is maroon which, in fact was the only color for this model. Another thing is that, the triangle on the cone of the handle is different and there isn'nt a yy logo within. :confused:Not sure if Yonex still produce this model, but I doubt they would because now is the age of TI and Nano technology. Unless you are into obtaining antique and use to play with a heavy racket this is not a wise choice. As for the value, it was around 85 MYR back then and if it's genuine it should be on offer and should'nt be that expensive (150 SD, wow !!! that's more then 300 MYR). Anyways, "One man's bread is another man's poison", the final decision is still yours. ;)Good day and enjoy your badminton. SpendorK 05-02-2008, 07:23 AM Thank you. It's dark green in color. The racket is old stock from ....:):):) SpendorK 05-02-2008, 08:11 AM http://i192.photobucket.com/albums/z69/calaf_2007/CAB20-02.jpg Smichz 05-02-2008, 08:23 AM http://i192.photobucket.com/albums/z69/calaf_2007/CAB20-02.jpg Ouchhh....Ur nickname should be 20_maniac or something.Darn...those r some nice rackets!!;) SpendorK 05-02-2008, 08:50 AM They're belong to someone in Taiwan. :D:D:D SpendorK 05-02-2008, 09:00 AM This is mine.:D:D:D http://i192.photobucket.com/albums/z69/calaf_2007/PICT0112-1.jpg OldBadFan 05-02-2008, 10:08 AM Mine is more like the one 4th from bottom of the picture. As you can see, it's maroon in colour. We are talking about "Tour Special" here, all the others in the pic are different models of Carbonex 20. Does'nt matter, since you've bought it you should appreciate and enjoy playing with it. After all, quality of a racket is secondary and more of an ego, technique is more important. Imagine this, in the hands of a pro, even with an old Dunlop Maxply racket he/she can beat the hell out of an average player playing with the latest high end and or most expensive racket. I have a range of rackets; old, new, cheap, expensive, heavy or light, I still play with each and everyone of it. The most important thing is to enjoy the game of badminton. Same goes to you, enjoy the game. kevyeoh 05-02-2008, 10:14 AM very well said oldbadfan...i couldn't agree more after i experience myself using different rackets... :) NisroL_JR 05-02-2008, 10:42 AM Wow, I wish , I'll have them all :D I only have, Cab20 Special Can anybody arrange it from the old one to the latest??
