..another extra hour is okay, too. Question is, why an hour?? Heck, let's take the whole evening/afternoon off. It'll relieve you of doing the moderating.;)
I think most, if not all, of BCers NEED to get away or even go out & play some baddy, anyway. Or finally do some work..:p
As a matter of fact, a few of these server maintenance/per month is not a bad idea at all...hmm..:cool:

Don't quote me but I think we had 60+ for one PAW SS. Yes, Sandy would be able to verify that.

...year's Thomas & Uber Cups will be a pretty good test for BC in preparation for the upcoming Olympics...First couple of dry runs will probably occur during the first couple days of competitions.:cool:

TC/UC Traffic must have be massive. Lost access to BC so I guess the server upgrade needs further upgrade :D:D:D

..i was actually able to sneak a peek at BC, this morning close after i woke up, but a few minutes later, it was gone. Went kaput. If i remember correctly, it went out, along with the tournamentsoftware.com livescore link, around the time the INA team played THA. I believe it was right after Taufik had lost and the 2nd INA MD pair was in the middle of playing.
The interesting thing was, i thought BC had gone over the current record of no. of users at one time.

Oh, one more thing, the lagging after posting a reply seems to be fixed.:cool:

For me it was possible to see the Badmintoncentral.com hopepage for a few minutes around 10:00 GMT, not even fully loaded. From 09:00 GMT - 19:30 GMT it was completely impossible to get onto Forums. Each time I tried, I got the iExplorer error.
Finally able to get back on... I missed something today, and it definitely didn't feel right!

an upgrade from the current one will cost a lot of $$ unfortunately. i am actually not sure what the cause is for the crash yesterday. we will see how the server hold up for the rest of the week. it seems much more stable today than yesterday. we have 700+ users online and the load is still not 50% yet.

i am using the TC/UC as a gauge for the Olympics. if the server cannot handle the load for the TC/UC, likely we will be dead for the Olympics as well. then i will have to serious consider a faster server.
