Guys, I have a question. This question has actually been bothering me for so long. I know different people have their own different opinion and I'm very interested to here all of them.

When choosing the right racket,

(1.) Do you choose a racket to compensate your game (style of playing)?
i.e. POWER PLAYER = CONTROL RACKET
CONTROL PLAYER = POWER RACKET

(2.) Do you choose a racket to maximize your game (style of playing)?
i.e. POWER PLAYER = POWER RACKET
CONTROL PLAYER = CONTROL RACKET

CHEERS!

I would find a racket that can help me with my weakness. So (1) is my option.

CHEERS!I am defensive doubles player...it would not be worthwhile for me to use a power racket just to improve my smash at the cost of my defense...:(

I'll chose a racquet which I feel comfortable with.. or a one which tempts me to buy it. hehe

*offensive/attacking* racquets tempt me to buy them, eg: AT700.

i choose number (2) maximize my game. i don't think rackets would really significantly compensate for your weaknesses. i think you should focus on improving your strengths more than making up for weaknesses.

oh yeah! i forgot to post my own

Naturally, I think I'm more of the "CONTROL" type, thats what most people say about me. But my heart refuses to believe that. I do a lot of smashes and drives in my game with my AT700.

So in my opinion I belong to selection # 2 ( maximizing )

But, according to other people I was born a "CONTROL" type, only convincing myself to be the "POWER" player. Maybe they're right, I dunno...

Enough of me, lets hear more of YOU !

I choose something that fits my playing style more, but it also increases my weaknesses by a bit.
