View Full Version : BC went down! YIKES!
only to show that Murphy's Law is alive and well.
anyway, the server, having been up 368 days, went down around 2am PST last night while i was in bed after an exhausting day.
but anyway, it has been revived and hopefully you guys won't bring it down again... ;)
I dont think its the forumers that brought it down.

..i was able to see a bit of BC early this morning, but then it went out shortly after..I didn't see how many people were surfing in BC, but if i recall, the total was still under 1000 users. But it wasn't only BC that went out, the tournamentsoftware.com livescore also died, about the same time as i tried to check the scoreboard..I guess BC died and everyone tried to follow the livescore link, thus causing both to overload and eventually died..:p
Looks like everything is back now, even the lag after a reply is fixed! Yay!
Anyway, a Happy Mother's Day to all of the moms!..:)

For the evening events of the TC/UC 2008 Day 3, our active members@BC and guests are lower. So, we have no problems for both BC and Livescore. :):):)
Malaysian fans will be in full force on Day 4, tomorrow Wednesday 14-May-2008, when both their Mens and Womens teams are playing in the Quarter-Finals. We hope that BC and Livescore would be OK. ;););)

..there are a few more smaller tourneys in between now and the OG, thus the way i forecast it, we'll be lucky if we hit 950,000 posts by the time the Olympic Games come (badminton event). But maybe we'll reach 1,000,000 posts by the time the Olympic Games ends?!?! ;)

I never bothered with post counts because the numbers jumped mysteriously during the upgrade to the new forums, back around 2000 (I forogt exactly which year) as the count is actually lower than it really is.
For members who joined after the current forums the post count is fine, but for people who already existed before the upgrade, it's jumped.

..were you spying on BC during that yr??;)..I thought you signed up with BC in 2002??....
Anyway, yeah, speaking of the posts number "mysteriously" jumping, i did a tally y'day of all the posts in all of the sub-forum, and the total no. of posts didn't even add up to 900,000. At least not close to the no. of posts we have now...
Yes I'm a spy :D I do not remember the exact year I signed up however I do believe it was during the 1997 and later because I know it was before 2000.
I just compared my join date with Cheung's, Mag's and Kwan's (as they were all there) date and it lines up of when the forums were upgraded. That is when the the post counts jumped.
