View Full Version : TC/UC 2008 - May 12 - day 2
madbad 05-11-2008, 01:50 PM Might as well get the ball rolling. Some matches to look forward to:
UC: JPN v NED - Crucial for JPN to recover from their nightmare encounter with INA yesterday otherwise they could be OUT!
TC: INA v GER - Time for INA to put up or shut up. Only a big win will shut up the naysayers. The natives are restless...
UC: MAS v DEN - A close one on the cards with, I think, MAS just edging it. Was surprised with DEN's lack of domination over NZL.
TC: MAS v KOR - Which team will be more convincing in their "acting" skills. You can almost see the farce coming. Let's hope this is not the case.
TC: DEN v JPN - Big test for DEN against a vastly improved JPN side. I cannot call this match as I can see JPN causing an upset.
UC: KOR v HKG - How will the Koreans cope with the critical loss of JJY? Fortunately, they have 2 points in the bag courtesy of their WD.
limsy 05-11-2008, 05:32 PM yap kim hock want mas to play against china...so...no acting lar...^^...

UC: INA Vs NED (10.00 GMT) : Lucky draw for INA playing againts NED which is more weak on Phisyc after tie againts JPN

Taufik, Simon, Tommy
MK/HS, Uncles

Rexy eh?? He should keep quiet cos this is Indonesia and he is no longer one...Rexy is an ex-Indonesian....he is Malaysian now and this so called ex-Indonesian wants MAS to play INA to proof how weak are INA team....But Rexy dun worry we shall give u a good fight and we love our country and would continue to support INA...
Difference between Tony Gunawan and Rexy....Tony Gunawan still thinks he is Indonesian...never criticise INA...Rexy always do this kind of thing...ok if u think Rexy is doing this because of proffessionalism why didn't he criticise Denmark???? Denmark is not doing dat well for regeneration either innit???!!! Rexy there is a saying a nut should not forget their shells and you are clearly forgetting your roots....so Rexy go on and be Malaysian if u feel more like Malaysian....

..IMO, are definitely must watch ties. NED, as the runners-up from the last UC will be out to redeem themselves after being forced to play 2 ties, today. They can come out & play like gang-buster. And of course, the big TC group ties between KOR vs. MAS and DEN vs. JPN.*mouth waters*
And, last, let's hope BC's server will.........................................hold up;) :)

madbad 05-11-2008, 08:03 PM Dang, tournament software doesn't even have the lineups out yet. But as I write, Live Score kicks in :):)
madbad 05-11-2008, 08:05 PM And as advertised, KOR are up to their funny tricks, fielding Hong Ji Yoon as 1st singles. I hope INA hands their a$$ to them in the QF

Just appeared on tournament software website
markchan 05-11-2008, 08:29 PM Hong just lost 1st set at 19-21. Hehe, make it as close as possible to make it look like they are giving a fight but in actual fact they are just throwing the match away.....it's so obvious..
xymaerts 05-11-2008, 08:29 PM Hi Guy,
What is the line up for both team? As MAS already promise to fill in with full force. Will they change their strategy? As the result of 3-2 Won over Thailand, Indonesia Team seems to be easily break through.. What will Korean think for today's matches..

xymaerts 05-11-2008, 08:50 PM Ic.. But overall Indonesia still won... Anyway, Taufik has many records to lost to lower rank player...

Yup, got up & found a very weird line-up for Korea. MD playing MS. MS reserve playing England 1st MS. Wonder what they will field against Msia later in the day.

Well, it is BWF's fault. The last team should have been eliminated from the competition.
badMania 05-11-2008, 09:06 PM Looks like KOR wants to end up last in the group and then face DEN and INA...hahahaha
It does look like KOR does not want to win against ENG or even MAS later on.....the lineup will get thrashed by MAS. ENG might even sneak a win now....
markchan 05-11-2008, 09:07 PM Looks like KOR is "winning" in the battle to lose...A Smith is leading 19-12 in the 3rd set.
madbad 05-11-2008, 09:08 PM I wonder if the Senayan crowd is showing their displeasure?

That's probably ENG's best lineup, with Andrew Smith playing MS1 and Rajiv Ouseph playing MS2.
But KOR....what a farce to see Lee Jae Jin and Hwang Ji Man playing singles, whereas all the singles players are now doubles. At least Hong Ji Hoon was the World Junior Champions in 2006 (if I recalled correctly).
eaglehelang 05-11-2008, 09:10 PM Looks like KOR is "winning" in the battle to lose...A Smith is leading 19-12 in the 3rd set.
Andrew Smith has won 3rd set. England also dont want to meet Indoensia in QF.
Imagine LJJ & Hwang playing MS, ha ha

madbad 05-11-2008, 09:11 PM What's happening to JPN? Lost WS1 and losing WS2 :eek::eek:
Judith 20-17 Yu
madbad 05-11-2008, 09:13 PM ENG should trump KOR by walking off the court :D

Like INA, Japan figured that the best would be to finish first or third and feed the Netherlands to the sharks...(China) :o:D
INA would play similarly if they to Japan yesterday.
madbad 05-11-2008, 09:20 PM I give up. I'm going to play badminton. Maybe throw a few matches away while I'm at it :rolleyes::D:D
vching 05-11-2008, 09:21 PM the question is now whether Malaysia will follow Korea's lead, and will make for an interesting match later.
badMania 05-11-2008, 09:22 PM Lee Yong Dae woke up and edges ahead 11-10 at the interval. Great stuff here....
jimbo 05-11-2008, 09:23 PM Looks like the Kimchi has learned few "tricks" from LYB ;)
badMania 05-11-2008, 09:25 PM KOR looks set to win the first set now, leading 15-13.
d65up2 05-11-2008, 09:27 PM What did Rexy exactly say about the Indonesian Team anyway? I'm sorry I'm missing out. I have tried to find any info but I have no luck yet. Please tell me what kinda comment he gave this time? Thx.
Just before the Thomas Cup there he was like bla bla...Ina bla bla is like he hates INA or something...he said nothing about Denmark?? Clearly Denmark is not doing too good as well
jimbo 05-11-2008, 09:28 PM the question is now whether Malaysia will follow Korea's lead, and will make for an interesting match later.
I read the news (The Star) and Msia team will field the FULL strength.
adelina76 05-11-2008, 09:29 PM I found Korea's line-up rather interesting. I remember years ago (some of you young ones may still be playing with your rattle at this point :P ), if not mistaken, during the 1992 or 1994 Thomas/Uber Cup, Indonesia did the same thing when playing Malaysia in the group match to determine the winner of the group. (In those days, 2 groups with 2 winners from each group qualifing for semis with cross-over, i.e no.2 of one group playing the no.1 of othe other group).
Anyway, Indonesia fielded their doubles players as singles and vice versa to lose to Malaysia to avoid playing China. They came under severe criticism and I think at one point, the BWF (then IBF) was seriously considering legal action or defaulting Indonesia (which of course would be funny if they did!). Another example of sportmanship bowing down to the demands of commercial reality (if Indonesia was defaulted in the semis, all the sponsors would be very unhappy).
Anyway, in the end, Indonesia got away with it and lost to Malaysia, then they went on to beat South Korea I think in the other semis and met Malaysia in the final and lost anyway! Karma? I guess they still made it to the finals instead of being eliminated in the semis.
I was just thinking after that I would have thought something would have been done to prevent this from being repeated in future TU Cups but I guess not!
My only 2 cents into this is...to win the Thomas / Uber Cup, you need to be the no.1 team in the world and so doesn't matter who you play, you just got to kick a s s !!

vching 05-11-2008, 09:32 PM my blog post on this:
The Badminton Blog - Korea Throws Match (http://thebadmintonblog.blogspot.com/2008/05/korea-throws-match.html)
Adelina! YOu are back.. how have you been.
badMania 05-11-2008, 09:39 PM If KOR really lost to ENG in their first tie, then, you can almost guarantee them to lose to MAS as they do not want to face INA in the QF. Seems like they are going all out to avoid Team CHN in the Semi-Final (by finishing first), INA in the QF (by finishing second). So, they figure out it's better to face DEN in the QF and then INA in the SF.
badMania 05-11-2008, 09:41 PM INA Uber Cup Team HAS TO BEAT Netherlands later on since it's also increasingly likely that Japan will finish last.
No one wants to finish second in that group too as it will mean a QF against Team China.
ITs all about strategy.. the end in mind is to win the CUP even if it takes you to lose few matches. You have to lose some in order to win.
eaglehelang 05-11-2008, 09:42 PM Seasider, you can look up the news articles posted in ABC Championship threads.
Some of the Indonesia fans are offended with Rexy's comments abt Nove & Chandra pairing up but in the Msian press it doesnt sound like Rexy is against Indonesia (I posted that news from Berita Harian in ABC thread), he's just trying to reaasure Msia and that he as Msia coach is 100% loyal to Msia as a coach (his loyalty has been questioned bf that caused his 2nd resignation threat). The Indonesia press, at least bolanews.com, slanted it differently.
You can read the "TC/Uber News" thread here for news article related to TC/Uber.
badMania 05-11-2008, 09:43 PM Even with a scratch pairing, KOR wins MD1, so its 1-1.
jimbo 05-11-2008, 09:45 PM If KOR really lost to ENG in their first tie, then, you can almost guarantee them to lose to MAS as they do not want to face INA in the QF. So, they figure out it's better to face DEN in the QF and then INA in the SF.
That's the loophole and KOR will definitely field another "weird" line-ups against Msia
sigh... sportmanship is no longer applicable when it comes to winnings :o
eaglehelang 05-11-2008, 09:45 PM Even with a scratch pairing, KOR wins MD1, so its 1-1.
Their stratch pairs won against KKK/TBH & FUzzy bf, so, they can still give a strong fight even though it's MS player as one half
asriwn 05-11-2008, 09:47 PM Just before the Thomas Cup there he was like bla bla...Ina bla bla is like he hates INA or something...he said nothing about Denmark?? Clearly Denmark is not doing too good as well
Why should Rexy said anything about Denmark??He is not have any relationship with Denmark..It is different for INA...He is Ina ex-player so he know what he is talking....
ITs the press.. you can't believe 100% of what they say.
eaglehelang 05-11-2008, 09:51 PM Why should Rexy said anything about Denmark??He is not have any relationship with Denmark..It is different for INA...He is Ina ex-player so he know what he is talking....
Yup, the reporters ask Rexy abt Indonesia cos he's from Indonesia, that's why they always bug Rexy on view abt Indonesia. Same as Tan Kim Her is Msian & was Msian coach, reporters bug Tan KH abt Msia's chances each time they meet him.
ctjcad 05-11-2008, 09:54 PM ITs all about strategy.. the end in mind is to win the CUP even if it takes you to lose few matches. You have to lose some in order to win.
...lose "on purpose"....:p
Btw, i don't really get this so-called "strategy" by the S. KOR's TC squad:
I'm just thinking, why do the KOR coaches need to shuffle their lineup and play Singles players as Doubles pairs and vice versa?? Couldn't they just field their normal lineup and still tell their players to lose "on purpose"?!?!.. :p

Ya Tony Gunawan never said anything...so I think Rexy should just keep quiet instead of insulting us alll the time...I know rite now INA is nothing compare to MAS at this rate we won't get a single point against MAS but still he should just keep that to himself...we already have enough missery no need for him to add salt to the wound we already have

You r definately envy on mas coz Rexy is now coaching mas and not indonesia. And mas produce good results under him. Thats why u hate him.
Rexy, we welcome u in malaysia. And no matter what happen, we will never burn your house>:D:D:D
adelina76 05-11-2008, 10:12 PM At what point does the line becomes blurry between "doing what you have to do to win" and living up to the spirit of the game?
For example, say now Malaysia also wants to avoid China in the Thomas Cup and field their weakest team also against S Korea. Since players are instructed not to win, so it'll be funny watching both players trying to see who can lose first. Initially, after say 4rallies, a player will 'accidentally' hit the shutle out. The other player will retaliate by hitting the shuttle out after 3 rallies and so forth. Eventually, they're both going to serve into the net to give away points? When it comes to that is the saddest day in the T U Cup history.
On the lighter side of things, would be nice if China decides to play God and decide not to top their group just to teach those 'game throwers' a lesson! Wouldn't that be funny??!
And yes I'm back.."coming out of retirement" :P
ye333 05-11-2008, 10:12 PM I like the Korean strategy much more than "telling the players to lose on purpose". The Korean strategy will give us highly entertaining matches. For example, last time we saw Mr. Park wearing eye glasses. I'd love to see LHI playing MD. :)
Just thought of another way of explaining. Suppose China wants to lose (for whatever reason). Which one do you prefer: seeing LD putting on a show and BCL getting "injury" half way, or seeing LD & BCL pairing up and playing MD? :D
...lose "on purpose"....:p
Btw, i don't really get this so-called "strategy" by the S. KOR's TC squad:
I'm just thinking, why do the KOR coaches need to shuffle their lineup and play Singles players as Doubles pairs and vice versa?? Couldn't they just field their normal lineup and still tell their players to lose "on purpose"?!?!.. :p
ye333 05-11-2008, 10:14 PM It's just too hard for China to lose to Nigeria or Canada, whatever their line-up is. :D
In other words, unless China tells its players to lose on purpose, there is no way they will not be group No. 1.

..i think Rexy was speaking/talking about the reality of his team, more so than him "looking down" at INA's TC & UC teams. The comments, being printed by the presses/medias, like a few BCers had mentioned, could've also been taken out of context/misinterpreted.
For Rexy - since he is working and being paid as a Malaysian, of course he will comment something about his team's/players' chances vs. Indonesia. And i think he's saying so by looking at the reality. Reality is, his anak-latihan (his trainees) have equal chance playing against their INA counterparts...realistic??..
For Tony G. - since he is playing, working and being paid as an American, of course he will comment something about his team's realistic chances vs. Indonesia. If a reporter asked him "So, Tony, what do you think about the USA's TC or UC team's chances against INA?". What do you think he will say?? Would he say "Oh, the USA TC or UC squad has an equal fighting chance against INA".....realistic??..

IS different, if you send normal team and play lost, then is consider cheating, BWF can take action on you. But if you send the worst lineup, and the player play its best and lost, this is not cheating, is just bad lineup and lost the match.

In term of world ranking, of course, this is not S. Korea best lineup, but they can always claim that this is their best lineup again England, they can claim PSH/LHI can form best MD2 ...blah..blah.. as well as when the player play their best on court, there is no cheating.

narnia 05-11-2008, 11:02 PM If KOR wins MAS tonight, they can still secure(?) their goal - to be third ranked.
Yesterday, MAS won ENG with no games lost. And if now KOR finishes to lose to ENG with only a game(in 1st MS) won, and tonight won MAS with at least 2 games lost, then KOR will be the third even though they win.
In short, KOR can be easily to be third, even though they win MAS by just losing 2 games in all the 5 matches.

badMania 05-11-2008, 11:20 PM If MAS finish as Group Champion, Either JPN or DEN awaiting them in the QF
Situation for MAS:
1. Emerge as Group Champion and they will likely face the 2nd placed team in Group C, which could well be JPN. However, if JPN surprises us and beat DEN, then DEN will face MAS.
2. If MAS wins the QF, they are almost ensured a meeting with CHN in the SF.
Situation for INA:
1. Emerge as Group Champion and they will likely face ENG (2nd placed team in Group B) in the QF, if KOR ended up in last place.
2. Beating ENG will ensure a SF meeting with either JPN, DEN or KOR.

madbad 05-11-2008, 11:40 PM What happen if Korea lost to MAS tonite? Will they still qualify to Quoter final?
EVERYONE qualifies. It's a freebie
badMania 05-11-2008, 11:43 PM After losing 1-4 to England, means to say that Korea must win MAS tonite. Else they will rank 3rd in the group & cannot even qualify to Quater final.. AM I correct???
Unfortunately, u are wrong :D Their aim is: To FINISH 3rd in Group B.
xymaerts 05-11-2008, 11:44 PM Any advantages for them to finish 3rd??
Unfortunately, u are wrong :D Their aim is: To FINISH 3rd in Group B.
badMania 05-11-2008, 11:44 PM How can bottom of the group and still make it easier for them, I dont get it.. I also thought they must win Malaysia tonight to qualify...
Read the posts in this thread dude.....
Fact is: Korea thinks its easier to face either JPN/DEN in QF and then INA in SF, rather than risking all-out and face CHN in SF (if they finish first) or INA in QF (if they finish second).

d65up2 05-11-2008, 11:45 PM I am supporting Japan so if INA lose then they shall only lose by 1 and still win the group thingy
spchu 05-11-2008, 11:45 PM Man this is an odd tournament.. so teams lose deliberately....

Japan dropped Reiko Shiota from WD2, so, it's increasingly likely they will avoid CHN in the QF.
xymaerts 05-11-2008, 11:48 PM So means they will lost to MAS tonite?? Will it be risky if they will rank last 4th in the group?

Ogura is also still in the team?
(guess she's waitinf for the next match..)
And... I think JPN has to lose the last match without getting no more game.
badMania 05-11-2008, 11:53 PM So means they will lost to MAS tonite?? Will it be risky if they will rank last 4th in the group?
Again, u got everything jumbled up:
1. One group has 3 Teams....no one will finish 4th.
2. On second thought, they might try to sneak a win against MAS and still ensure they ended up 3rd, while feeding MAS to CHN and ENG to INA.
samuel882 05-11-2008, 11:54 PM Sigh.... Everybody wana avoid China
Korea in TC
& JPN in UC
spchu 05-11-2008, 11:54 PM Man... then Malaysia should also lose to England yesterday.. why isnt Malaysia playing this same tactic as Korea?
badMania 05-11-2008, 11:55 PM Actually, it would be better for KOR to lose 0-5 to ENG just now. That would make their life easier by playing a full team against MAS, beat them, and they would still ended up 3rd.
badMania 05-11-2008, 11:57 PM Man... then Malaysia should also lose to England yesterday.. why isnt Malaysia playing this same tactic as Korea?
Because MAS doesn't want to risk losing to DEN in QF.
Each team has their own strengths and weaknesses. KOR prefers to play it this way, but, it doesn't mean that MAS or ENG has to follow suit.
xymaerts 05-11-2008, 11:57 PM Too complicated... To me, a team CANNOT lost twice in a group.. If u lost twice u will rank last (3rd) in a group. And in each group (A,B,C,D), only 2 team will be qualify to Quoter final. Means, total of of 8 teams in Quoter final..
IF Korea LOST to MAS, they are LAST rank.. How can them qualify to Quoter final as well.. Someone pls clear my doubt.. tq

Those who finish 2nd & 3rd go into a playoff. The winners (4 of them) then meet the group winners in the QF. Hope that's clear enough.

The rule doesn't say only the top 2 will qualify for the next round
The rule says:
Each qualified team for the Final will be guaranteed at least 3 matches.
The top team in each group is through to the QF.
The second and third team in each group will play again tomorrow in a playoff, determining the 4 teams to play each group winners.

Now, Indonesia has to beat Netherlands to emerge as group winners....

xymaerts 05-12-2008, 12:05 AM Not the 1st & 2nd in a group AUTOMATICALLY qualify to QF? Had the rule changed? So means to say, if Korea lost to MAS tonite. They will play with England again to decide who will Qualify to QF??
Those who finish 2nd & 3rd go into a playoff. The winners (4 of them) then meet the group winners in the QF. Hope that's clear enough.
badMania 05-12-2008, 12:06 AM The lineup for Indonesia vs Germany:
MS1: Sony Dwi Kuncoro vs Marc Zweibler -- if Sony lost again, his confidence will be gone.
MD1: Markis Kido/Hendra Setiawan vs Roman Spitko/Michael Fuchs -- surprise2...GER don't want to field their top doubles Kristof Hopp/Ingo Kindervater. That would just make the work easier for the World Champion.
MS2: Taufik Hidayat vs Dieter Domke -- expect a 3-sets match if Taufik still doesn't wake up.
MD2: Candra Wijaya/Nova Widianto vs Johannes Schoetller/Tim Dettmann -- the uncles are being fielded in preparation for the QF. Straight forward tie too.
MS3: Simon Santoso vs Sven Eric Kastens -- who's the GER player  ?? Simon to win yet again.
INA to win 5-0...it will be a disgrace if INA were to even lose 1 match.
spchu 05-12-2008, 12:06 AM In that sense, I think PAW should only start during elimination round... since teams play tactically now...

Dude...calm yourself down and read the draw in tournamentsoftare.com. I thought madbad's explanation is clear-cut enough :o:eek::confused:
adelina76 05-12-2008, 12:09 AM To avoid teams 'fixing' their line-ups, they should introduce a rule that after the end of the group matches, a re-draw takes place placing all the winners of each group as the top 4 seeds in the quarterfinals (seeding based on original entry into the Cup seeding). The top 4 seeds will not be meeting one another until at least the semis).
The runners-up teams from the round robin group matches enter into a redraw to see who of the top 4 teams they will each play in the quarterfinals.
3rd team in the group round robin match gets eliminated. Also, the redraw means you don't just aim to get 2nd thinking you will avoid playing an obvious winner of another group in the quarterfinals. This way, your aim is always to finish top of the group to avoid playing China until at least the semi finals.
What do you guys think?

xymaerts 05-12-2008, 12:10 AM I am clear now!! TQ... that is why MAS wan to win tonite in order to sail into QF.. No need to play extra playoff !! And MAS should be able to win Japan & storm into Semi Final.. then, have a DIE or LIVE battle with China.. Wise..wise..

bcmmgr 05-12-2008, 12:11 AM I think the system is ok, but suggest the playoff will be re-draw, so if you are second and third team in each group, the draw will randomly put you in any path, then you cannot do what S.Korea did, CHOOSE who you want to play in quarter/semi final.
madbad 05-12-2008, 12:11 AM Not the 1st & 2nd in a group AUTOMATICALLY qualify to QF? Had the rule changed? So means to say, if Korea lost to MAS tonite. They will play with England again to decide who will Qualify to QF??
KOR (if 3rd) will play a 2nd place finisher from another group. The winner moves on the QF. Same with all other group 2nd & 3rd place finishers. C'mon friend, you must have grasped it by now. :)
badMania 05-12-2008, 12:12 AM KOR (if 3rd) will play a 2nd place finisher from another group. The winner moves on the QF. Same with all other group 2nd & 3rd place finishers. C'mon friend, you must have grasped it by now. :)

badMania 05-12-2008, 12:13 AM I think INA fans would prefer playing ENG in QF than having either KOR/MAS. So, KOR's moves saves our troubles of thinking how to best avoid the seeded teams in QF. At the same time, it will ensure the elimination of one strong team (either KOR or DEN) in the QF.
Good move.....
xymaerts 05-12-2008, 12:13 AM FULLY understand now !!! any 3rd rank will play with ANOTHER group !

Sure it will be. You'll see doubles players playing singles and weird doubles combinations. The KOR team is out to entertain and nothing else :rolleyes::D:D

If they beat MAS 3-2, they might just got their wish of ended up 3rd. They will have the same 4-6 on ties won-lost with ENG, but ENG will finish 2nd courtesy of the victory this morning.
MAS will still ended up 1st because of their much superior record: 5-0 and 2-3 (if they lose later) of 7-3.
xymaerts 05-12-2008, 12:23 AM Like that MAS is assure a place in Semi.. What a awaiting MAS vs CHN crashes

badMania 05-12-2008, 12:27 AM I am now just exploring possible permutations:
If MAS were to lose 0-5, they will surely end up second --> DROPPED
If MAS were to deliberately lose 1-4, then they will have 6-4 on their aggregate. On the other hand, KOR will have 5-5, which will edge out ENG. So, MAS can still feed KOR to INA in QF, while they still enjoyed the free match to QF --> DOABLE...
What do u guys think?
Very good observation... :) Well we wont know until later..
badMania 05-12-2008, 12:30 AM I have a feeling KOR might just send a team that will beat MAS 3-2...but not more than that.
MAS can spoil KOR's day by fielding all reserves, except one LCW. LCW will get the one pt needed for MAS, and MAS will get their wishes of not wanting KOR to end up 3rd, instead, feed them to INA for an early titanic battle in QF because its obvious that they will want to avoid INA in QF and prefer to play DEN.
narnia 05-12-2008, 12:30 AM Sure it will be. You'll see doubles players playing singles and weird doubles combinations. The KOR team is out to entertain and nothing else :rolleyes::D:D
Not exactly. They can even win the matches to secure their 3rd ranking.
CLELY 05-12-2008, 12:32 AM INA to win 5-0...it will be a disgrace if INA were to even lose 1 match.
Yup, INA must create white wash today after got embarrassment last night that host team only won over THA with narrow score.

MAS(4)-KOR(1) Then 1.MAS(9-1) 2.ENG(4-6) 3.KOR(2-8)

KOR(5)-MAS(0) Then 1.KOR(6-4) 2.MAS(5-5) 3.ENG(4-6)
MAS can still lost to KOR with 1-4 and top the group and send KOR to INA in quarter final.

Strategy plays more important role in Team event, we may not agree the way Korea handles the situation but if it works then credit to their master plan else lose face and lose respect.
Anyway, Malaysia should go all the way out and ready to face China in the semi final, we are usually better playing underdog part.
