LCW agains LD... sure lindan is slightly better. I dont think he can deliver a point to MAS. I will give chance 45-55 chance in favour to LD.
The most crucial is MD1. If CTF/LWW(or maybe CTF/KKK) manage to beat CY/FHF, then MAS still has a little chance through HH. HH vs CJ is 50-50.

you have a lot of faith in HH  in my opinion he has a chance of maybe 10 percent or less, Chenjin has to be injured or something... CJ is always bored playing against HH.
Why isnīt his older brother playing 3rd singles?

Agreed that the chance for LCW is slim. He has to play an extraordinarily game to demolish the great wall.
I have not much confidence on HH either. CJ is very consistent lately.
WCH is aging.
Argh ... I am pessimistic.

hmm...in a positive way...malaysia will win...beside of md...
lcw- lin dan...3 set to decide...hmm...but i think lcw opponent give him a good warming up before meeting lin dan but lin dan just played boonsak(that good for training)...so...it will be a 51-49 to lcw...
wch-bcl...the lowest chance to score in malaysia team...it a 40 - 60 match...if he can play tacticly against bcl like against lin dan in china master(or open i forget) final 1st set that losing 19-21...he got the chance for 45-55
hh-cj...as i think...hh will take this if malaysia down to 2-2...not count for cj experience...hh is in form...very got indeed...but still got many people look down on him...even indra gunawan praise him(in star)...from seeing him can smash his opponent...he had the weapon to bring cj down...but...have to increase his agility and accurate...if agility and accurate is high enough...hh 55-cj 45...
md...malaysia will win...no matter who are up to play...i saw many are not confident with ours player...hmm...
if negatively...malaysia will down 3-0...
of ya...madbad...i mean lydia yesterday that are playing 3rd single and the one whom height 176...but i cant correct it because my network having problem after my post...^^

Sad to say, Malaysian always support Indonesian players when they are playing in Malaysia, esp. Taufik Hidayat.

Badminton: Blame it on the format, says Korean manager
SOUTH Korea made a total mockery of the Badminton World Federation's (BWF) competition format for the Thomas Cup Finals by openly declaring that their best path to the final is by losing all their group matches.
The new format, allowing all 16 teams to move into the knockout phase, was introduced at the 2004 Finals, also in Jakarta.
Yesterday morning, the Koreans fielded their singles players in the doubles and their doubles specialists in the singles to lose 1-4 to England in their opening Group B tie.
Immediately after the defeat, team manager Kim Jong-soo admitted that they had also plotted to throw away their final group tie against Malaysia last night. The Koreans also lost 1-4.
The reason: South Korea wanted to finish bottom of the three-team group to go into the same quarter of the knockout draw with Denmark.
http://thestar.com.my/archives/2008/5/13/sports/s_pg66kim.jpg The Korean team manager Kim Jong-soo admitted that the team had deliberately lost to England and Malaysia to increase their chances of reaching the final.
If they had beaten both England and Malaysia to top the group, South Korea will go into the same half of the draw as defending champions China.
If they had beaten England but lost to Malaysia and finish second, they go into the same quarter as hosts Indonesia.
South Korea have yet to feature in the Thomas Cup final.
“It was not a late decision. We had discussed all options and settled on finishing last in the group, even before arriving in Jakarta,” said Jong-soo.
“After studying the draw and analysing our strengths and weaknesses, it was best for us to play against Denmark in the quarters, Indonesia in the semis and China in the final. We had to adopt the best strategy to maximise our chances of winning the Cup.”

Lydia Cheah has had that experience in SEA Games 2007 team event I think. Nerves caused her to lose when it was 2-2. So, she has had the experience of shouldering the burden, so to speak. Hopefully Lydia will be able to keep her cool if comes down to the wire.
For Msia Uber team, 6 out of 10 are youngsters (include Julia Wong), Msia will play as underdog, less pressure compared to TC team. Higher expectations on the men.

Good to see the INA gals winning over a severely weakened HKG team 3-0, with Maria Kristin beating Yip Pui Yin in the only tight match of the day, 21-19, 21-19. This bodes well for Maria, facing Xu Huaiwen tomorrow.
The other 2 matches were one-sided, with Vita Marissa/Lilyana Natsir thrashing Louissa Koon Wai Chee/Chau Hoi Wah 21-14, 21-4 and Adriyanti Firdasari making light work of the inexperienced Mong Kwan Yi 21-7, 21-9.
Tomorrow's SF matchups are definitely going to be tougher, especially GER has 2 strong WS. It's imperative that Firda and Pia need to win their matches, besides the 2 WDs. I still think INA can beat GER, 3-1 or 3-2.

being in the SF of a tournament doesnt necessary mean you're the top 4. otherwise what is the point to have the ranking system for the duration of 12 months. similarly, winning a tournament (even the OG) doesnt make you the best in the world. it is just that you won it and you probably played better against your opponents this time. that's all.

MS1: Andrew Smith vs Sony Dwi Kuncoro -- the only real contest we might have in Sony vs Andrew. Sony to win!
MD1: Robert Adcock/Robin Middleton vs Markis Kido/Hendra Setiawan -- the World Champion to beat the ENG pair for the third time this year.
MS2: Rajiv Ouseph vs Taufik Hidayat -- it might gets to 3 set if Taufik decides to have some more time in the court.
3-0 to INA if the 2 singles play to their potential.
MD2: Christopher Langridge/Dean George vs Hendra A. Gunawan/Joko Riyadi -- still can't see AG/Joko losing here.
MS3: Ben Beckman vs Simon Santoso -- Simon has been steady so far and he might not even have a chance to play today.

By the way why is HKG fielding that women singles lineup like that for two days already. Where's Zhou Mi and Wang Chen? badMania, you know the reason?
Wang Chen is injured and Zhou Mi isn't eligible to represent HKG.

our best strategy to beat CHN
is to at least steal one point from single
and get maximum 2 from doubles...
to get the one point single line-up is very important...
LCW have no choice to face LD
2nd and 3 rd singles must prepared to steal one point
if (touchwood) LCW failed...

Poor KBH, forever ppl (and himself) remember him as the one who lost the deciding match against Denmark in 2006 TC.
But Hafiz against CJ, is underdog, lost also ppl wont bash hard. China is defending champs, Msia.... inconsistent, malay press like to put as "prestasi tak menentu".
I still think it may be up to Hafiz, if our MD can win 2 pts. LCW vs LD, % low for LCW to win. WCH vs off form Bao, 45-55. So, up to MS2 & MS3 to win a pt.
