yes, i think all indonesian supporters are very disappointed and upset right now...we were putting high hopes on something that was barely reliable...kalo pbsi tetep bgini terus indonesia mana bisa maju??sutiyoso always wants ina players to win but based on the capabilities and their disciplines (compared to other countries i.e. china & korea), i doubt that we'll ever win anything big again, very sorry to say... :(

@bananakid yes off course this is a team event and everybody has own part n responsible

why INA's supporter so disappointed is becoz Taufik lose very easy ... and he didnt show a very good fighting spirit to win the match .... seem he very hopeless and his face tell us (at least me) "I will lose... I will lose..."

come on he win olympic medal so he should has good mental how to become a winner ....

INA's supporter put a very big hope on him and he pay us with low and below standard like that ...

if he played a lot better ... then we will give him a big applause

@robin7 (http://www.badmintoncentral.com/forums/member.php?u=25864) hehehehe sorry but we go to final for uber team :p hehehe

What a bad year for Taufik...
First his father in law lost in the province election...
Then he lost in TC against Thai player & Lee, and tonight he's the only one that cannot force the game into rubber, he's the decider... Shows no spirit, played slowly, totally controlled by Lee...

But as we know, this is a team competition, and the lost of the team should not be blamed on any player, but the whole team... I think the real reason why INA TC team lost today and didn't play that good (not as good as usual) is something that we didn't see in them... Something that our UC team has, and out TC team don't...

I didn't see the same spirit shown by INA UC team in INA TC team.. Maybe this is the reason why INA UC team can make it to the final and the TC team can't... I know it is hard for the UC team to win against China, and it will be real hard to even steal a point, but they show "semangat juang 45" and I'm really proud of them... So win or lose, I'm proud of INA UC team, in my heart, they are still the winner anyways...

I believe he is no longer INA's golden boy again now...:( Let's see if he makes us, Indonesians, dissapointed again in OG and other tournaments... If he continue to play like that, no fighting spirit at all, maybe it is time for him to retire...

yes .. lose n win it's just a game ...

but the most important how u win or lose

yes ... no fighting spirit .. that's I really disappointed in Taufik

and totally agree with sugar_free, TC team didnt have fighting spirit and convergent

u can see, TC team seem not support each other ... they dont give jia you ... come on or any support to support other team that play in the match ... they too arogan (maybe) or at least please support each other ...

even sutiyoso (PBSI chairman) seem very overstrung .. please give support ...

but different in UC, they show how to fight even they are not favorite to win UC, and they support each other ....

I really enjoy how most western playing, like England, Denmark and Germany (especially two thumb up for germany)

UC n TC germany team, dress up and attribute them self with germany unique style .... and they never give up to give they best support to both team (UC n TC) and when they lose to other country ... they still never give up and support each other ... INA must copy from them

Indonesia has to work hard for their badminton..CHN had work hard for almost 10 years after Yang Yang, Chao Jian Hua etc retire.. Taufik is already not the man he was.. He is a family man now, badminton is no longer the first priority in his life. Family comes first...

i disagree, back in 2000 ina won thomas cup then during OG, candra/tony won gold medals too...will this trend continue?-not for long, as we can already see how ina's badminton is moving towards self-destruction...none of our youngsters are comparable to tony/candra or ricky/rexy...hopefully pbsi will prove me wrong in the near future...
the thing that pbsi has to learn from the koreans is how they manage their regeneration process. the seniors in the korean team guided their juniors throughout the early stage of their careers e.g. htk paired up with lyd to "transfer" his experience and stuff. as a result, the "lee yong dae factor" plays a huge role in the korean's success this year alone.

They all lacked fighting spirit, how can HS/MK lose so badly in the rubber set 21-10, I mean I haven't seen the match yet but come on that just tells the story...

I was following Taufiks match from college, when he lost first set I thought thats it no way back.....

You could see it was coming, round robin struggling against the Thais, against England same thing...

But "soft" players like Sony, TH, and Simon should prepare to be kicked out. :D

But he seems different from the "five tigers" (this is what us Chinese call them) Suprianto, Arbi, Ardi, Susanto, Kusuma.

Permadi was skillfull, deceptive, but not very powerful and didn't have good stamina. I watched one 1990 match between him and FKK. He toyed FKK until his gas ran out and finally lost. ;)

IMO, here are my 2 sen rupiahs to the above queries:
1. Possible. But it'll take a lot of hardwork & sacrifice (from top to bottom).
2. As your comments in post #23.
3. (First part) Attitude and preparation; we can look to the MAS MD2 in their win in the Semis for a good example. (Second part) Not sure exactly what you are asking. Maybe as you mentioned in your post #23.

The chants of CHONG WEI CHONG WEI and the BOLEH BOLEH BOLEH BOLEH songs...

yen_saw

INA probably preferred to face Malaysia in the final rather than China, so they cheered on for Malaysia but unfortunately the team they cheered for lost, and then the disaster when their hometeam they cheered on so much (actually it was pretty dead after the INA MD lost) lost as well. So Indonesian should cheer on any team they want them to lose:D the reversing strategy!

The signal of INA unexpected defeat has emerged after Kido/Setiawan gave up to Jung JS/Lee YD yesterday. TH as Olympic Champion played his below par quality and practically Lee Hyun Il controlled game in whole match.

Half an hour before INA-KOR semifinal kick-off, Sutiyoso (PBSI Chairman) asked by local radio journalist about INA chance and he said INA team CERTAINLY win over KOR with score 3-2 or 3-1. But the result said different, KOR downed INA in front of their homeground supporters!! I think INA has underestimated KOR and over-confidence to enter Sunday grand final...

As KOMPAS reported, TH apologizes to INA fans because INA Thomas team failed to reach champion target and said Fortune Goddess doesn't choose INA side this time. All players have given their best and maximum performance but the opponent is far better...

I agree to that. There team spirit and support seems to be great, they cheer for each other and celebrate. Although they didn't play fair in the group phase, they deserve to win imo, because their attitude and determination is really impressive.

I would disagree that KOR team spirit and determination is superior to INA or MAS. Maybe about equal. Eg. Sony Dwi Kuncoro and Koo Kien Kiat tried their best to salvage the situation in their matches.

But Korea's technical ability is indeed superior to both nations. Witness that diving effort from Lee Yong Dae and you will know what I mean.

Whether it is enough to topple China, we will find out tomorrow.

INA crowd favoritism is very fluid! :p Never assume we are pro-MAS or anti-MAS or pro-KOR or anti-KOR or pro-CHN or anti-CHN or pro-NED or anti-NED etc. forever... it depends on the situation... :p
