Narrow victory after 3.5 hrs. Won all singles but lost both doubles.

Valiant effort by Denmark, lucky for China they picked right singles.

May not be so lucky from here on.

Yes, great win by China.....
i think both the youngsters Bao and Lin showed great composure and mental toughness. To be able to perform with so much responsibility at such a young age is i believe tremendous
Any thoughts on this tie anyone?

Actually in contrast... I think it might get better from here on. China just proved to the rest of the nations that even if both their doubles fail, they can still count on their strong singles line-up to "get the job done." Li Yong Bo will have to get the doubles going since they were completely obliterated with the second doubles game a little bit narrower in score.
One suprising match was Lin Dan's relatively easy beating of Rasmussen. He lost once and in all 3 other games, allowed no more than 3 points each against Rasmussen.

Good luck China against Korea!

Did anyone out there actually watch the match between Lin and Rasmussen?
was it that rasmussen was not playing well or was it that Lin simply out played him?

TV highlights in Msia gave last match a miss.

Playing Rasmussen you have to be very fast before he gets his engine going.

He gets better as the game drags longer.

Probably Lin Dan played fast for 14 points, took a breather and upped pace in 4th.

Good question by Zhi . Consider this :

1) Yang Yang played his first T cup Final in 1984 as 3rd singles when he was

20.Won his first major tour in 1985 in HK open at age 21.

2) Zhao arrived in 1985 when he won first AE at age 20 and first played Thomas

Cup in 1988 at age 23 at 3rd singles.

Some experts say that Lin Dan and Bao are still boys and have not even developed

fully physically. Lin Dan has great vision and strokes but at the moment even

though they have outperformed both YY and Zhao in terms of age achievements

and tournaments won, they are nowhere near Yang Yang's athletic abilities or

Zhao's talents.
