Everyone also thought he cannot win against uncle Roslin :D. But I figured KBH would go main draw.

Meanwhile, Luluk/Alvent sealed it at 21-16 2nd set, sup sup water

from no where. Hopefully it's to somewhere higher. He's been struggling ever since the lost in TC 2006

Yup..I really think he is talented before this and hope this victory now will make him feel more and more confident and hope he will quickly forget the TC 2006 and looking forward.;)Malaysia really need more LCW.

That wraps it up. Round 1 had 6 upsets, that's not counting the lost of the Denmark older uncles.

Ah ha, tomm will have Msia semi-uncles vs Indonesia semi-uncles. Interesting, can CCE/CCM prevail in their stamina or will the fired up Luluk/Alvent overtake them. Ranking wise, Luluk/Alvent of course is higher.

Jessica, tomm KBH have to go up against Boonsak lah.

kinda agree. but if he is a prof sportman, he should, by now, picking up himself and start winning more matches against those top players :) nevertheless, beating uncle roslin is definitely a good start... keep it up KBH...

I think Korea 3rd MD is Yoo Yeon Seong/Cho Gun Woo. Ko Sung Hyun/Kwon Yi Goo is the 4th Korean MD.

sina news:

zhu jingjing had walkover!
They are pretending that Zhu jing jing would show up at court...she even not landed in singapore at all..:rolleyes::rolleyes:
wang Lin was warming up with yu yang to wait for ZJJ....thats so funny......all of us know that ZJJ did not even fly out from beijing...;);) so WL had a rest day...sad...sad..

I think it is the draw that makes Zhu Jingjing not come. Because one of them has to go after 1st round. It must be Zhu because it is one of OG test match for Wang. Why waste money to play a match and go home if they can play at home everyday?

If they do not meet on first rounf, I am sure both of them will play.

You are correct.....I would do the same thing but they need to inform the organizer during Manager's meeting that ZJJ would not come so they could promote one player to main draw and played WL today..but by not doing that and pretending that she was in Singapore and late for matches was not ethical...one player could earn some money in the main draw...

Not trying to defense CBA move here. But what happened with so many WDN in first round, apart from ZhuJJ? Why the need of so many Qualifying mathces ? MK/HS ; MAS top 2 pairs has been confirmed their withdrawal a week or more before the tournys start.. Dont SBA knew about that and make something changes?

All of the withdrawal also didn't inform the organizer during the manager's meeting?
Did u meant the player will receive $$$ for their names listed in first round matches even they pull out a last minutes withdtrawal?

As far as I know..SBA did not have authority to make any changes...only head referee and BWF could do it...
Most of withdrawals have been informed during the manager's meeting...like Hirose or Kendrick, reiko shiota..

only last witgdrawal was Joko/Hendra...Joko was rushed to hospital and INA Manager informed head referee that night that this pair would not play.

MD had no qualification rounds, all in main draw. XD also, all those in qualifying were promoted to main draw due to some withdrawals.
But I dunno why WD had re-draw & MD didnt since 3 MD seeded pairs withdrew.

INA MD is still strong... ;) The current MD world champ is Kido-Setiawan. They are also ranked #1 in the planet. INA has 2 pairs in the top 10, the same as CHN, KOR, and MAS... ;)

That's because originally, the local organizers arranged that WD draw only had 4 seeded players while the SS rule state that there has to be 8 seeded players despite the fact that there are less than 32 pairs playing. ;) Thus, the BWF authority interfered and did a re-draw! :)
