I was wrong last night...Malaysia totally changed the doubles line up against indonesia today...and the match is starting in 15 mins
Chan Chong Ming has been paired up with Lee Wan Wah, and Chong Tan Fook is with Chew Choon Eng. I am beginning to see some logic behind this now. But I am not sure of saying anything concrete yet. What I can say is that I think if Malaysia looses...they would not have shown their true strength...yet.
Although I am doubtful about this lineup, but I have this niggling gut feeling that Malaysia is doing the right thing.
Another small surprise is Hafiz...but I sort of expected that.

Indonesia is using using the same lineup as they used against Thailand...they mean business.

Park Joo-bong knew it's very unlikely for Malaysia to win 1st doubles.
But if he were to play the original pairings, Malaysia may lose 2nd doubles as well, since Lee Wan Wah is still recovering from injury.

So, it's only logic to field Wan Wah with other partner to throw the 1st doubles and pair Tan Fook with another stronger partner in 2nd doubles.
But I thought Chan Chong Ming is the stronger player to pair with Tan Fook compared to Choon Eng.

Or perhaps Chew could combine better with Tan Fook. Lets see.

Well, I think Park Joo Bong did this because Lee Wan Wah and Chew Choon Eng are good net players, while Chan Chong Ming and Choong Tan Fook are better at the back court. It's important for doubles to not only have good smashers, but also good net players who are able to control the net, hence the pairing of Choong Tan Fook and Chew Choon Eng.

Wong Choong Hann won the first match against Marleve (I missed the scoring) while Candra/Sigit beat Chan/Lee in straight games.

Perhaps ALI is right. Otherwise it should be Chan playing with Choong because Park Joo Bong has mentioned that they are the better players and form a strong pair together.

Oh no... Malaysia seems to be on the verge of losing. Chew/Choong are already one game down.
