WMC has to start beating players from other countries first before she is expected to beat the Chinese wall. Sure she had a fabulous performance last year in the China Open, but what the heck has she did since?
I never said Tine is one hit wonder. She has definitely got what it takes to take down any chinese player with her superb attacking power play.

I would say that for most of the first and second games, Maria was controlling the game. But as you said, she just needs to cut down on her errors.

Incredible Maria! What a spirit from her! If her performance consistent like this, she will be one of dangerous female player for Chinese players beside Tine Rasmussen, WMC, and JJY. I agree with you. I think Susi Susanti gave back the motivation for Indonesian gals in UC, and after that their play level are increased. I really hope not only Maria and Vita/Lilyana, but all Indonesian players do it.

Maria Kristin's loss is a blessing in disguise...she's gained a lot of confidence and will work on her weak points between now and the olympic games. Hopefully she hasn't peaked yet. :)

I was quite surprised by how well Maria played today. When she beat Zhang NIng yesterday, I thought that ZN's lack of fitness and slow movement was a big factor in maria's victory. BUt today, Maria was just brilliant, retrieving and anticipating nearly everything that ZL threw at her , and smashing like there's no tomorrow. she was in control of most of games 1 & 2, but unfortunately crumbled in the third ..
