First time I saw Bao plays. He's just top-notch. I think he is the best single in China's man squad. He'll win unless something major happens.

2nd game. 2-2.

4-2 Bao.

2nd game goes to Hafiz. 7-4.

3-1 bao.

Wow, what a comeback Hafiz did in the 3rd set, from 1-6 to 8-7!

Hafiz took 3rd game 8-6.

Hafiz lead 2-1. dangerous times for China.

Can anyone of you who are watching it give some comments? Who do you feel has the upper edge? Is Bao shaken?

Just a follow up. Bao lead 4-1 before losing 7-4 in the 2nd. Leading 6-2 and missed 7 game point and lost 8-7 in the 3rd. Won comfortably 7-1 in the 4th. Leading 4-1 now. Bao plays great attaching games.

indeed. twice did Bao lead by a margin, and twice he crumbled and failed to convert. perhaps LYB gamble on using youngsters failed.

Agreed Mag. I think it is reasonably certain the Lin Dan will win at 3rd singles, although I thought Bao would also win fairly easily!

yes. this will be the game that determine the outcome. actually, China need to win 3rd singles as well. but Lin Dan is hopefully more battled than Bao.

poor Bao, there must be a couple tons of weight on his shoulder.

I suspect the young Chinese single players are too arrogant (?? can't find a better word). They just think the game is over when they are enjoying a big lead or just had a great comback. Bao should win comfortably but he let it goes. In some sense, they really lack the mental preparation that the last point is the most difficult. I'm sorry that Bao lost but he is a terrific player. He is the most exciting player in China squad since the old Zhao JH or yang Yang. He plays a fanastic game with great talent. Hope this lost will not haunt him in the future.

Congrulate Hafiz. He has an exact opposite mentality of the Chinese. He stick in, fighting point by point and won. Most of the other players will just give up the game in this circumstances, not him. Great stuff.

I wonder whether LYB will yell at Bao Chunlai the same way he did to Wei Yilli and Zhang Jiewan.

Hafiz was great. He was the key to Malaysia's victory. He was calm most of the time and wasn't disturbed even when he was trailing.

And the biased linesmen who affected Wong CH greatly and led to his defeat didn't had the same effect on Hafiz. He got over it very quickly and got back to his game.

In contrast, Bao lost concentration at certain points especially in the third game, and obviously appeared troubled when Hafiz successfully scored a few points at one go.

WELL DONE HAFIZ!!!!!!! way to go!!!!!
