lots of places to go! If u don't care for the expensive fees, Guangzhou Tianhe Stadium(where China Open are held) is definitely a good place. There are also a lot of medium and small size stadiums for u to choose, in which u find lots of high-skilled amateurs 2.
the 5th IBF's training center is underconstruction here in Er Sha Dao, it will take 2 years time to finish this project. by then, pros from all over the world may gether here for their trainings:D

There is a badminton school in Guangzhou which you might want to check out. You can find out more by emailing leaf_maomao@hotmail.com, for attention Mr Chu (Mandarin pronouncement) or Mr Chee (Cantonese). The charges are Yuan 2,000 for one week, and they cover everything, full board, lodging and training/coaching fees.

Hi,
Is anyone gonna be going to Guangzhou starting June 26th? I'll be in Guangzhou for 2 weeks and I'd love to find an english/cantonese speaking partner to play badminton. I'm intermediate and I have heard many stories of guangzhou players so let's show them what north american players are capable of/and not =)
guangzhou people welcome too!

Just to reopen a 2 year old thread...
I'm currently in GZ (originally from singapore) and I play here with the local guys 2-3 times a week.
We have about 4-8 people per session, from beginners to intermediate, male and female (basically, all the guys and their wives/gfs).
On a side note, I'm only replying to this post cos I just realised I know the thread starter Wijaja. Met him in GZ and we actually played quite frequently while he was still here. Mr Wijajaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa!!!
Anyway, all welcome to come join us, just drop me a note here. The more the merrier ;) Hope to see you around!
Cheers,
Heng

Hey Krazy,
We play every Wed (8-10pm) and Sat (7-10pm), just over the river at the foot of Luoxi Bridge. If you don't drive, I can give you a ride if you can make it to Ersha Island. Check your PM for my contact details!
