Thanks for the info.It would make analytical sense if the schedule can be tabulated to show event breaks at a glance.Eg:
MS: Day 1,2,3,4,6,7,8,9 which has a day's rest for MS before the QF on d6 and another day's break for the finalists since d8 is the bronze medal match.
The scheduling for Xd and Wd and md is rather thoughtful in minimising the fatigue factor so some doubles players have a good chance of bagging 2 medals.
Would someone please help to tabulate all the events together so we can see the breaks at a glance?I don't have the expertise.

The data s not properly aligned so it'll be great to have it improved for instant glance clarity.
This means the likes of LHJ, LN and VM will not have to play 2 matches a day should they go deep although they will have no rest days.LYD should have no problem playing 2 matches in a day, starting from day 4.

Yeah, it's a bummer, no matter what. No win situation, esp. for those of us in the North American region who have to battle through the many red-eye nights during the baddy events. Even if the matches were played in Europe (like 4 yrs ago in Athens), i'm sure many of us in N.A. had to stay up through the night.:p
