Okay, so for shoes there is definitely a difference because of variations in movement. We all know that to avoid injury best to wear the proper shoes. What about clothing...skirts, tanks, etc. how do you think it would be different in terms of actual needs of badminton? (Not looks!) In other words, how different are tennis and badminton gear?

Wondering if performance-wise wearing traditional tennis gear would be a hindrance.

This question/discussion is mostly for women's clothing, but guys feel free to chime in.

I hate the fact that women gets better designed clothes!! They look so pretty...so many to choose...and us...we basically have ONE design with different color...it's SEXISM!!

This is not a joke! You may laugh but it is true.
SUPPORT!
Women need support in some body part and more room because of the body shape. So clothing is design to fit those needs.

Some men "does" need those extra rooms too!!!

Beside...those other "designs" arent for space/body shape but decoration =. =.... /rant

Men and women have different dimensions.

As a woman, of course this is so. ;-)

To everyone: Back to my original question - how different do you think women's badminton and tennis gear are in terms of performance?

Take Yonex as an example for badminton and tennis. The only difference is the design.

If you mean design, as in the graphics then yes that is one them. As for the clothes fitting and cuttings, they are different as well to suit the applicable sport.

How do you think they differ in terms of performance (this was my original question)? I've played more tennis and at a higher level then badminton. I posted out of curiosity - I am quite familiar with tennis clothing and somewhat with badminton but wanted to hear other peoples thoughts on performance differences (in women's clothing).

A shirt should allow free movement of the body and if this doesn't happen the shirt you are wearing is bad. A women's body dimensions are different from men so the shirt is made accord to gender average dimensions.
