During the last 6 months, I haven't heard of Mp100's breaking. (except for a 3u version breaking in a doubles clash).

Then I notice that quite a few people in the Thomas Cup have switched to using it.
So, regarding the recent production batch of MP100's, are they more robust?

How do you know if it is new or old? I don't think CD racquets 3U MP-100s ever had any problems... cause I know someone who has a 3U CD MP-100 which is holding up really well.

Seems that all broken MP-100s from before were 3u SP versions........ 2U SP mp-100 should be ok though. I mean even before.. 2U Sp versions didn't break that much... right?

Sp actually held better than Hk versions! I think Yonex was very quick to react to the initial feedbacks and hey prob some rep is reading this site on a regular basis.

cheung, i saw plp shift out of Mp 100 more in thomas and Uber cup! I am sorry i could watch only the finals and hey Chandra and sigit have shifted to Mp 90, Gong to Ti sp from Mp 100, Henderwan from Mp 100 to Cab something.

So actually more plp shifted out then in. If i am wrong then pls correct me.

i've had my MP100 3U TW since January. It lasted through 2 racket clashes. Both with Ti-10 2Us. No sign of breakage so far. Only problem is... there's a paint chip at the 12 o'clock position. But my guess is that paint chip is from me hitting the frame all the time :D :p

Just for the record, the 2 MP100s that I broke have HK serial numbers.
They were both 2U G5s.
One broke after stringing at 26 lbs while the other broke after a smash.
No racket clash whatsoever.

I'm a bit confused... by SP do you mean "Special" or you mean the SP on the bar code?

SP does not stand for special....

Anyway, my broken MP100 is also a 2UG5 HK version.

i still have my MP100 SP in my bag with me when i go for a social session or training and i find that its still holding up very well. No problems so far. Its 2U-G4.

TDotSmAsHer, the SP stands for South-Pacific, HK Hong Kong, CN China, although someone told me that the CP is the new marking instead of CN for China rackets, starting from the MP100 onwards. DK Denmark etc etc
