I'm an intermediate-advanced player and i used a tecnopro titanium racket for a tournament and was impressed. I'm looking to buy my own racket but there is no website or information available on the net for current and new models. The newer models with a patented flex design in the shaft seems nice but not sure how it would affect gameplay. Anyone using tecnopro or know of a site for info please tell ^^. Also i notice that there are no reviews of tecnopro rackets in PRODUCT Reviews on the main page... is this a mediocre brand or something. Anyways any help would be helpful, otherwise i will go buy a Ti-10 or mp100 :D

Never played with tecnopro titanium... the only techno pro racquet I ever tried was someone's techno pro steel racquet... wasn't too bad for steel! About no reviews of techno.... thats because the review section product list hasn't been updated in ages! Hehe...

According to Kwun.... list should be updated soon....

If you like the technopro then stick with it.... Yonex is good but overpriced in my opinion. Well...I think most of the muscle powers are pretty good and few TI's are good as well.... cabs i've never really tried but should be good since a lot of people use cabs as well. I think MP-77 is really popular... (when I go play badminton, I see lots of MP-77s) .... MP-100 not as much probably because of the price. TI-10 also quite a number of people use. For Cabs... I think Cab20 is the most popular because pros use it. Quite a few people use mp-55 as well.

Talking about popularity here... not performance.. I think those are all good racquets but you should try to see which one is best for you. :D There are other brands too that make good racquets, but Yonex is the most popular... probably cause yonex sponsers lots of pros.

I've been reading many of the reviews...actually i've gone through all of the reviews on the MP 77, MP100 and Ti10... for me personally i think i have amazing reflexes so weight isn't that much of a factor. But something which really bothers me was that i was unable to get deep fast clears. Based on power is the MP100 or Ti-10 better? i'm getting mixed reviews since ppl string their rackets at different lbs. According to reviews on MP100 stringing it at high lbs causes breakages and such plus to buy an mp100 costs like 130 canadian which is :(. i'd probly buy a ti-10 unless i found something which catches my eye. Btw what racket do u use Tdotsmasher?

Heh.... ryvius...

MP-100 $130? Try..... $230-$250 ..... TI-10 is discontinued so it will be hard finding the Canadian Long version.... price is around $200-$230....

Some stores in Canada still have SP version of TI-10 available... but they sell it at normal price... where as in other parts of the world for SP it cost about $150 canadian.... if you have reletives in HK or singapore or India... tell them to buy you racquets cause it's cheaper there.

If you're looking for $130 price range get MP-55.. it's really good for it's price. Make sure the store is selling you a CD version since CD is covered by yonex canada warrenty.

Me? What do I use? lol..... um... for a beginner like myself.. I should not be using these racquets but hey... I got mine for a good price.... I use TI-10 and MP-100:P although someoneeeee (zero) is trying to buy my ti-10 off me.. so far ti-10 hasn't given me a reason to sell it though.. MP-100 I havn't really tried yet... (just got racquets not long ago) but I will try it out today.. 2U MP-100 should be quite durable... 3u racquets are easier to snap from clashes then 2u! I was using MP-55 before.. but it broke (someone stepped on) ..... MP-55 is as good as ti-10 .. MP-55 is traditional length and is not as stiff as ti-10 (extra stiff) but stiff enough. TI-10 is more aerodynamic though so you feel less "air resistance"...

Yea.. just played with both the racquets today..... used ti-10 first... felt normal.... then switched to mp-100... mp-100 felt light! When switching back to ti-10.. ti-10 felt slow and heavier. Both are 2u probably because ti-10 is head heavy and mp-100 is not.

Since I have only been using racquets for about a week, this is probably not the most accurate review..... but heres what I think so far.. both racquets strung 22 lbs bg-80

TI-10 .... head heavy.... aerodynamic.. When I first start playing... this racquet is great.. however once I start getting tired... this racquet feels real heavy and slow. Drives to the body are sorta hard to get... Although my skills are not up there ... netshots and drops are ok but not as good as my mp-55 and the mp-100.. smashes are powerful... I am able to generate the same power from mp-100 though.. ti-10 probably would have more power but I'm not strong enough so the head heavy there just gets in my way... this racquet overall is very good... I think it would be better once I get used to it and strength my wrists/forarm

MP-100 ..... even balanced... pretty aerodynamic as well... When switching from ti-10.. this racquet felt light. Smashes were pretty good... (I can't really comment on smashes since I don't smash that hard) ... Drops and netshots were good as well. .... easy to control. Clears were good too. REturning smashes were also good.....

WIth both these racquets.. well more with ti-10... I havn't gotten that used to it so my serves actually popped slightly too high a few times... and hit the net the other times.. inconsistant.. but thats probably cause of my bad skills hehe..

Just my opinion.....

i had the technopro 1700. decent enough racquet, but quite heavy and very stiff. although it states - lightweight - on it's frame, there is no weight mentioned at all. i put it on a scale and the weight of the racquet, plus string was around 110 grams.

The racquet had a strange vibration when hitting the shuttle. when i spoke with some other technopro owners, they also commented on the same.

I managed to sell it off to a body builder friend, who really likes the racquet.

i took a quick look and feel of a techopro from a new guy in the club, i forgot the model name. It has a kickpoint near the handle.

Kickpoint near handle? Is that good or bad?

ya thats the problem. there doesn't seem to be any website at all available on em. About that kickpoint its like their patented flexpoint design (not sure if thats the right name but i checked it out) It seems like it would be good for doubles or players that like the flex but overall i think it has a bit too much flex and feels flimsy
However the titanium version seems alright and the price is decent
