MEN'S SINGLES
Lee Chong Wei [1] vs Sony Dwi Kuncoro [2] -- the expected lineup for the Final match...with the World No 1 retaining his Japan Open title.

MEN'S DOUBLES
Bona Septano/Mohd Ahsan vs Lars Paaske/Jonas Rasmussen [2] -- the Danish pair has the experience and edge to win their FIRST Super Series title, but, I am hoping for an upset here. Another heart-break perhaps at the last hurdle for our Danish BC-resident?

WOMEN'S SINGLES
Zhou Mi [7] vs Wang Yihan -- Zhou to take the title!

WOMEN'S DOUBLES
Cheng Shu/Zhao Yunlei vs Wong Pei Tty/Chin Ee Hui [4] -- I am predicting an upset here, with the young CHN pair prevailing.

MIXED DOUBLES
Nova Widianto/Liliyana Natsir [1] vs Mohd Rijal/Vita Marissa [5] -- the World Champion to walk away with the long-awaited Japan Open title.

It was unfortunate that when CEH/WPT were moving up in their World Rankings in the past year, injuries started to creep in. This time we hope that they will move into the Top 10 again; and stay there for a longer period of time, without injuries.

I hope the Malaysian girl can bag this title. The Chinese girls played fairly well thru-out the tournament. Chin/Wong confidence has been running high and they are excited to be in the finals as i've spoken to them earlier. They will be playing their best. Both of them know that time is running out on their side.. this win will be their highlight and something that they can remember for time being.
As for Chong Wei, he is feeling confident in winning the title but not giving everything to chance as Sony is unpredictable and at the same time in form. Chong Wei admits that he is not playing his best level as of yet at the moment. He will be careful when playing Sony this time.

As for WD, WPT/CEH will play a relatively unknown young pair from CHN....already upset...so many pairs to enter final.......a very tricky one....for MAS...

Chong Wei to skip China Masters KUALA LUMPUR: National coach Misbun Sidek has given shuttler Lee Chong Wei the green light to skip next week’s China Masters in Guangzhou. World No. 1 Chong Wei confirmed this after reaching the final of the Japan Open in Tokyo yesterday following a 21-6, 21-4 demolition of Dane Joachim Persson in the semi-final. Chong Wei said he was skipping the eighth-leg of the Super Series in China because of a slight pain on his right hand. The Malaysian had been seeded top ahead of Lin Dan of China for the tournament. “It is nothing serious. It is probably due to heavy smashing. I need a rest. The coach also does not want me to aggravate any injuries,” said Chong Wei in a telephone interview yesterday. “I will return home after the Japan Open. I have also been entered for the Macau Open (after the China Masters) but I am not sure if I will play. I will let my coach decide.”

Rijal/Vita seems to be in the mould of ZhengBo/GaoLing in early 2007. Rijal just need to hammer down anything higher than the net. Young and powerful with an experience playmaker in front. Keep hammering on!

Rijal/Vita seems to be in the mould of ZhengBo/GaoLing in early 2007. Rijal just need to hammer down anything higher than the net. Young and powerful with an experience playmaker in front. Keep hammering on!
