badMania 09-20-2008, 04:00 AM MEN'S SINGLES
Lee Chong Wei [1] vs Sony Dwi Kuncoro [2] -- the expected lineup for the Final match...with the World No 1 retaining his Japan Open title.
MEN'S DOUBLES
Bona Septano/Mohd Ahsan vs Lars Paaske/Jonas Rasmussen [2] -- the Danish pair has the experience and edge to win their FIRST Super Series title, but, I am hoping for an upset here. Another heart-break perhaps at the last hurdle for our Danish BC-resident?
WOMEN'S SINGLES
Zhou Mi [7] vs Wang Yihan -- Zhou to take the title!
WOMEN'S DOUBLES
Cheng Shu/Zhao Yunlei vs Wong Pei Tty/Chin Ee Hui [4] -- I am predicting an upset here, with the young CHN pair prevailing.
MIXED DOUBLES
Nova Widianto/Liliyana Natsir [1] vs Mohd Rijal/Vita Marissa [5] -- the World Champion to walk away with the long-awaited Japan Open title.

It was unfortunate that when CEH/WPT were moving up in their World Rankings in the past year, injuries started to creep in. This time we hope that they will move into the Top 10 again; and stay there for a longer period of time, without injuries.

agree with u chris. really hope that wpt/ceh play well 2moro and win their 1st super series title. i tink that they have improves. want 2 c them create history for mas wd and improve their ranking. praying that God would protect them and prevent them fr injuries. in fact. same prayer to all players 2moro. wpt/ceh boleh. lcw boleh. mas boleh
I hope the Malaysian girl can bag this title. The Chinese girls played fairly well thru-out the tournament. Chin/Wong confidence has been running high and they are excited to be in the finals as i've spoken to them earlier. They will be playing their best. Both of them know that time is running out on their side.. this win will be their highlight and something that they can remember for time being.
As for Chong Wei, he is feeling confident in winning the title but not giving everything to chance as Sony is unpredictable and at the same time in form. Chong Wei admits that he is not playing his best level as of yet at the moment. He will be careful when playing Sony this time.
roller 09-20-2008, 11:23 AM Bona/Ahsan's progress is nothing short of tremendous. I saw them play earlier in the year and was not too impressed. But now they are looking like they have paired together for years.
watched them play at SO this year... they are a fast improving pair

Today/tonight, we expect to hear them LOUDER, okay!!:)
hansonlouphers 09-20-2008, 06:24 PM uhmm.. widianto/natsir... take the title.. :D:D:D
jasonmarc 09-20-2008, 06:46 PM This time....is time for SDK to reveng DLCW........not like Olympic LCW reveng SDK......its interesting.........and SDK looks so determine and well prepared this time......
As for WD, WPT/CEH will play a relatively unknown young pair from CHN....already upset...so many pairs to enter final.......a very tricky one....for MAS...

I just cannot see this happening.
Fidget 09-20-2008, 08:23 PM It's good to see a few people are giving Sony a chance against LCW.
Sony plays beautifully when he wants to. And maybe, just maybe he wants to this time. (then I'll win the bet with my 5 year old LCW fan).

samuel882 09-20-2008, 10:17 PM this is just a training match for a SS final. Sad...
Noridayu 09-20-2008, 10:19 PM Chong Wei to skip China Masters KUALA LUMPUR: National coach Misbun Sidek has given shuttler Lee Chong Wei the green light to skip next week’s China Masters in Guangzhou. World No. 1 Chong Wei confirmed this after reaching the final of the Japan Open in Tokyo yesterday following a 21-6, 21-4 demolition of Dane Joachim Persson in the semi-final. Chong Wei said he was skipping the eighth-leg of the Super Series in China because of a slight pain on his right hand. The Malaysian had been seeded top ahead of Lin Dan of China for the tournament. “It is nothing serious. It is probably due to heavy smashing. I need a rest. The coach also does not want me to aggravate any injuries,” said Chong Wei in a telephone interview yesterday. “I will return home after the Japan Open. I have also been entered for the Macau Open (after the China Masters) but I am not sure if I will play. I will let my coach decide.”

huangkwokhau 09-20-2008, 10:24 PM It is sad that China Masters wont have LD, Gade and LCW...so I think Chen Jin has a chance to win China Master this time..I do not see BCL could win

MAS vs MAS or CHN vs CHN of course boring ;)
Vizal working well towards the scripts now it seems ;)
Noridayu 09-20-2008, 10:26 PM I think that the match will go to 3rd game.
ctjcad 09-20-2008, 10:26 PM ..the crowd is so subdued....Vita & Rijal lead 16-10...so much different watching Rijal's vs. Flandy's game...Flandy is so much fluid in his movement and shuttle placements...
huangkwokhau 09-20-2008, 10:27 PM MAS vs MAS or CHN vs CHN of course boring ;)
Vizal working well towards the scripts now it seems ;)
I Hope ViJal could take it and give me a BIG mercy...for PAW...:D
Noridayu 09-20-2008, 10:27 PM yup...good kak ayu........LCW still single

huangkwokhau 09-20-2008, 10:28 PM ..the crowd is so subdued....Vita & Rijal lead 16-10...so much different watching Rijal's vs. Flandy's game
How's Rijal's play?I thin he has harder smashes than Flandy but Flandy has more tricks that neededin XD....
carine 09-20-2008, 10:29 PM What did he said in the Chinapress? Maybe you can explain it? TQ.

huangkwokhau 09-20-2008, 10:30 PM so much quality in King Nova's game
are you cynical, arent you?:D:D...How's Nova's serve...may errors?
Noridayu 09-20-2008, 10:30 PM The match goes to rubber game.
samuel882 09-20-2008, 10:30 PM Less unforce errors by Rizal in the second set. In the meantime. Nova defensive shots is quite excellent..
huangkwokhau 09-20-2008, 10:31 PM whosss reiko??????:(:(:(
Reiko is my new girlfriend.........:p
Felix. 09-20-2008, 10:31 PM I don't know what are you people watching but I thought this match is very high quality. Lots of long rallies.
carine 09-20-2008, 10:31 PM rijal/vita took 2nd set,n rubber set nw
Noridayu 09-20-2008, 10:31 PM Vita leads 1-0 now.
huangkwokhau 09-20-2008, 10:31 PM Okay...at least..I still have hope....come on ViJal
huangkwokhau 09-20-2008, 10:32 PM I don't know what are you people watching but I thought this match is very high quality. Lots of long rallies.
Good to hear that....Samuel said that it looks like practising...
Tell me about the matches....I am rooting for ViJal ......
ctjcad 09-20-2008, 10:32 PM How's Rijal's play?I thin he has harder smashes than Flandy but Flandy has more tricks that neededin XD....
...his smashes are okay, not really powerful, both Nova and Lilyana could return them...but Flandy has better placements, IMO..okay, 2nd game done, headed to 3rd game...
Noridayu 09-20-2008, 10:32 PM Vita leads 3-2 now.
samuel882 09-20-2008, 10:33 PM are you cynical, arent you?:D:D...How's Nova's serve...may errors?
He try a couple of flick serve during first set but not working. Second set he serve as normal. Did not loss any point by his serve

huangkwokhau 09-20-2008, 10:34 PM He try a couple of flick serve during first set but not working. Second set he serve as normal. Did not loss any point by his serve
Okay...Nova's serve is his main problem....Thanks...
Felix. 09-20-2008, 10:34 PM Two great net shots, one from Nova and one from Natsir to level the score 3-3.
abedeng 09-20-2008, 10:35 PM Vita and Nova have dips in overall performance, Rijal and Lilyana are quite consistent ....
Noridayu 09-20-2008, 10:35 PM Vita leads 7-5 now.
carine 09-20-2008, 10:36 PM Rijal/Vita leading 7-6
abedeng 09-20-2008, 10:36 PM Nova's smashing angles are very good.
hhs1000 09-20-2008, 10:36 PM Rijal/Vita seems to be in the mould of ZhengBo/GaoLing in early 2007. Rijal just need to hammer down anything higher than the net. Young and powerful with an experience playmaker in front. Keep hammering on!
ctjcad 09-20-2008, 10:36 PM ..it'll be down to the gals, battle of the net..whoever can control the net will probably win this match..Rijal has the same attribute as Nova, though, that is both like to scream and have the same type of yell..
Vita and Rijal lead 7-5...
abedeng 09-20-2008, 10:36 PM C'mon Vita!! C'mon Rijal!!
huangkwokhau 09-20-2008, 10:36 PM If Nova retires, I hope rendra can replace him and partnering with Butet.....
Noridayu 09-20-2008, 10:36 PM Vita leads 8-7 now.
carine 09-20-2008, 10:36 PM Rijal/Vita leading 8-7
carine 09-20-2008, 10:37 PM Rijal/Vita leading 9-8
samuel882 09-20-2008, 10:37 PM It is down to both gals now. Lets see who will be making less mistakes
carine 09-20-2008, 10:37 PM Rijal/Vita leading 10-8
abedeng 09-20-2008, 10:37 PM Huge miss from Rijal, wayyy out!
huangkwokhau 09-20-2008, 10:37 PM Rijal/Vita seems to be in the mould of ZhengBo/GaoLing in early 2007. Rijal just need to hammer down anything higher than the net. Young and powerful with an experience playmaker in front. Keep hammering on!
Thats what I thought too.....both girls are the bosses ( GaoLing and Vita)
fat_boy 09-20-2008, 10:38 PM come on rijal/vita
Noridayu 09-20-2008, 10:38 PM Vita lead 11-9 in interval.
