college teams

I am in 2nd year at GuelphHumber and I tried out for the Humber team. I'm just wondering what are the college competition like? Is it comparable to CPB badminton? Toronto Open? OR of lower level like high school badminton. I just want to know how it is like if I do make the team.

it's not high school badminton for sure. it's competitive enough to play.

if you make the team, you'll compete in regional, provincial, and national level, provided that you are able to achieve top 3 to advance.

The provincial level (I assume you are in ON) is far less competitive than Toronto Open. The reigning ontario provincial champions of college circles are OBA B level players (Raymond Wong?).

raymond wong is in the humber team, i know he won the cpb badminton.
also this morning i got an email from the coach that i did make it. so good stuff.

Congrats on making team. I visited and from what I saw, I can say that there's a top tier of players on the men's side. I think I can name the 5 players off the top of my head that will represent Humber in regionals/provincials
