Hi all,
Does anyone have any advice / opinions on the comparative pro's and con's of the Nanaspeed 9000 type X and the ArcSaber 10 raquets?
I've currently got them both on loan with the option to buy either and will be drawing my own conclusions obviously, but I wonder if anyone has any experience / observations / comments?
(I've used a Carbonex 21 for the last 17 years and am well over due a replacement. I used to play county singles but play far more doubles these days - age and all).
Thanks to all in advance,
Jocky

I've read the reviews long before I posted this. The reviews don't contain direct comparisons between the 2 racquets.

The NS9000X should be good for doubles because it's headlight (fast playing). The ArcSaber10 is more of an allround racket. On the other hand the ArcSaber10 would be closer to your Cab21.
Which one do you like the most to play with?

I have both as well and I would go with the Arc10 over N9000x because it is not very good at absorbing vibration and the extra-stiffness of N9000x can lead to various injuries (as it did to me).

I'm trying them out next Wednesday so I'll give you my verdict then. One thing that does concern me is that because they are both demo racquets, neither has brand new strings, hence the string tension is not the same in both racquets which may give me slightly false impressions. So I'm keen to know what other people think too.
Thanks for the response. I'll feed back next week.

Just got the opportunity to play with the NS9000S. If you like the Cab21, a ARC10 in 2U is the closest match. But the ARC10 will be stiffer and more accurate.
The reason why I said that I've tested the NS9000S is because this racket feels closer to the Cab versions. Overall, I can get more power out of the NS9000S compared to the NS9000X with the same string (NBG95). So I would compare the NS9000S with the ARC10.
ARC10 has more power compared to the NS9000S, but the NS9000S is faster. Since you're used to the Cab21, my advice would be the ARC10 to retain the even balance feel.

Okay, well I've tested out both racquets at my local club and this is what I found :-
Nanospeed 9000X - very light feel to the racquet head. Very manoverable at the net. Incredibley stiff shaft.
ArcSaber10 - slightly more head weight, hence I was able to get more power when smashing.
Both are great racquets, but I just found that I timed my shots better with the ArcSaber10, and I could get a little more power out of the smash (which is my main weapon). However, as CarbonexFan rightly points out, that's almost certainly down to the fact that I'm used to using a Cab21 which is more similar to the ArcSaber. Someone else could easily find that they get on better with the Nanospeed - Which all goes to show that you need to try these racquests out for yourself to know what really works for you.....
So anyway, I purchased the ArcSaber 10
