Dear all,
I would strongly recommend you all to try Kx rackets.
I just got mine from my coach as he just becomes Kx sponsored player (used to sponsor by Yonex). Mine model is Kx Classic 929(Double).
I used this racket for training today and i found out that this racket is very light and the repulsion power is there. Smash with correct wrist is strong. I like this racquet very much.
I just bought a Yonex ArcSaber 9 and i can't generate the power that can be easily generated by Kx. I'm going to sell my Arc9 soon.
Dear BC fans, "without colorful coating racket performs to its best"

I have a 919D, 3U weight. Agree that it has very good repulsion power but too much flex for me. I'm putting it up for sale.

I am using KX 929D as well. And I can't believe how much my smash improved by just changing the racket. I don't have a very strong arm for smashing, I think that's why the flex in the racket works to my advantage :D. I am using 24lbs string tension.
I bought the racket at www.badmintonbay.com
I think they are the only one selling KX online now.

that's great... i'm using the same racket as well and it also improve my smash, my clear and almost everything...
how much u bought it?
actually they have sales person and you don't need to buy high price online. My coach is their sponsor and i only pay RM198 for this racket. I'm going to get another 1 as my spare racket.

I bought it for USD$57.90, that's about RM198, including string and grip. Which I think is reasonable. They have quite a good customer service, I had emailed them on string tension question and they are very helpful and responsive.
I got my kx929D racket within 5 days after I place my order.
Long life KX! :D

I have both KX 929D and KX 727AL with both stringed with Yonex BG66, 26lbs... What I noticed is I can generate much smash power from KX727AL instead of KX 929D... I think this is most probably because of the shaft of KX727AL is stiffer than KX 929D... And I felt that 727AL is more head heavier than 929D... Anyway, 929D is a suitable racket for defence and fast swing...

Played again with my 919D today. After leaving it few months on 'idle' I feel like changing the string because got fed up with the neon green BG80, didn't like the feel at all. Decided to go with BG65 at 26x28 and wow... it feels great, completely different than before.
Using my Cab20 as benchmark, it is more repulsive with less control but it ain't bad either. Still prefer the Cab20 but the 919D is useful when I want to be more offensive.
For me 'Hard Feeling' strings don't make a great combo with this racket. Before tried a KX BS string and dislike it, also has a stiff feel.
One thing KX users should notice, the grommets are not very good. String 'eat through' them pretty easily. Anyway KX also sells complete set of grommets if it need to be changed.... :D
Looks like this racket deserve a place in the bag once again... :)

hi guys, may i know what is the highest tension that the kx black ace 929s can withstand? thanks a lot

30 lbs I think. My 919D can withstand more than 28 lbs without problem. KX rackets are nice at higher tension, for low tension u wont get the feel.

I just bought KX Black Ace 555AL from Ah Lee for RM 150, comes with large bag, grip and any string. Can't wait to try it this weekend.... Ah Lee is opposite Abd Hukum LRT station, next block after the 7-11, before shell station.

Bought the 8series (not sure the model) during the MBA tournament 1 year ago. It cost me RM188.00. Very durable, survived many major crashes. Grad that it still remain with me. This racquet replaced my already RIP MP45 which I only used for 1 month.

Hi. I also use KX 700 series AL. the price is reasonable, and the quality is good. my string tension is just 20lbs, for beginner player. I have just started to play badminton for my recreation about last 4-5 months ago.. 2-5 times per week.. but hard to find KX brand everywhere.. I bought my KX in PKNS Shah Alam..

Hey guys, thought i'd share a bit. Got 3 KX rackets but 1 snapped :( 2 Kx Nano Power Ace Savannah and the Classic 929D. The Ace Savannah is an awesome racket suitable for doubles or singles, however 1 of them snapped at the handle during training. It looked like the wood in the handle had split and gave way. My 929D is strung with the Kx Bs3 Extra, very nice string. I'd say it's like BG66 but better. Got them all from badmintonbay.com, Lai is a very helpful person and they give good deals. Enjoy.

How it (KX) compares to apacs ?
Is KX a malaysian brand too ?
- иεvvεи٭т -ツ
10-13-2010, 01:28 AM
I think Kx is better for some rackets than apacs because it isn't directly cloning yonex like apacs is; it's got its own technology and equipment. If you want something different that plays well try Kx, if you want a Yonex racket but can't afford it get apacs, because they're pretty good clones. But you should have a swing and actually try the rackets first. Yes, Kx is Malaysian.
