View Full Version : 2008 Dutch Open Day 4 - Semifinal (Oct 18)
Yong_Hui 10-18-2008, 02:05 AM today is the SF match for Dutch open....
in WD, 1-4 seeded show that they are right pair to sit for those seed. all of 4 seeded reach SF.
Hopefully INA team will send many player into final
Yong_Hui 10-18-2008, 02:08 AM SF Prediction
1. Yao Jie – Uchida Shizuka
No doubt, it will be an easy match for home shuttler; Yao Jie. But whose know that the next rising star from Japan Uchida Shizuka will make an upset to Yao Jie Today. 70-30 for Yao Jie.
2. Aditi. M – Linda. Z
Based on current form, I think Aditi has chance to go through Final tomorrow. But, I think Linda also has some spirits and motivation to do more after made a surprise yesterday by beat 2nd seeded as well as home shuttler; Judith. M. The chance is 60-40 for Aditi.
3. Kashyap – Andre
The best result for kashyap was quarter finalist this year, so it is his best result in GP. Andre’s best achievement for GP this year was SF. But, based on experience; Andre has more than Kashyap. He won 2 int. challenge this year. The chance is 55-45 for Andre.
4. Eric Pang – Chetan. A
Eric doesn’t have much impression performances this year. His best only SF last month in Taipe GP. Compare to Anand, he won last 2 weeks bitburger open, and also 2 int. challenge titles this year. Even his rank lower than Eric, Anand can beat him today I think. 45-55 for Anand.
5. L.Frier.K/K.R.Juhl - J.Gutta/S.Kurian
India pair has good spirit this week after won a title last week. So, may be they will go for 2nd final consecutively this week. Their opponent from DEN is also good pair, they are European champion this year. They have long break after OG, so I think they have more stamina. 51-49 for Denmark pair.
6. Pedersen/Schjott.K - S.Irawati/M.Jauhari
Danish pair best achievement this year is QF. INA pair has better achievement by reach 2 GPs Final consecutively. I think today they can go for 3rd time in row final game today. 60-40 for INA pair.
7. Kurniawan/Wijaya - M.Fuchs/I.Kindervater
Kurniawan/Wijaya has increase achievement for last 2 GPs, after only reach SF in Bitburger, last week they reach Final, and hopefully they can win the title this week. Germany pair, never played together before (I’m right???) . So, 60-40 for INA pair, but we don’t know may be Germany pair can make surprise today.
8. D.George/M.Honey - R.Kumar/S.Thomas
India pair won Croatian int series this year, and be SF last week. On other hand England pair only reached QF last week. No much evaluation I can give, so 50-50 for both of them.
9. R.Wijaya/M.Jauhari – Nielsen/Pedersen
Ina pair best achievement only SF for 3 tournament consecutively that they joint. Danish pair quite strong I think as they can reach SF for TPE Gold GP. So, 45-55 for Danish pair
10. Kurniawan/Irawati - Y.H.Hsieh/Y.C.Chien
TPE pair best achievement is SF in printcom Bulgaria this year. On other side, INA pair won 3 titles this year in Spanish, tolouse, and Indonesia. Last week they lost in final. I think it’s easy for them to reach another final tomorrow. 60-40 for INA.

Germany pair, never played together before (I’m right???) . So, 60-40 for INA pair, but we don’t know may be Germany pair can make surprise today.
I think the German pair will do very well and trouble Fran-Rendra. Kindervater is very experienced. He has been a top 15 player in MD for a long time...;)

Angel-a 10-18-2008, 04:51 AM I went to the Dutch Open the first 4 days and i'm really impressed by Anand. Because I'm from The Netherlands I gotta say I prefer Eric Pang to win, but would have liked it more if this match was the final. Not there today, is anyone gonna tape the match and put it online?
Maybe going tomorrow again, depends on which players are still in.

robin7 10-18-2008, 07:20 AM c'mon linda... beat the indian...
Any particular reason u want Aditi to lose. Is it because she beat your countrywoman?
touya 10-18-2008, 07:34 AM Any particular reason u want Aditi to lose. Is it because she beat your countrywoman?
yes, actually i hate india because they have beat many INA players this recent week...
not only that, i think Linda is pretty cool because she beat M. elfira easily and judith, 2nd seed..
no offense, just my opinion...
touya 10-18-2008, 07:53 AM a really tight match, i think...
Linda won with 21-16, 9-21, 21-15
i'm really happy with this result...
touya 10-18-2008, 08:59 AM The danes beat the Gutta/Kurian 16-21, 21-17, 22-20

touya 10-18-2008, 09:35 AM the tournament has break first until 6.30... so long...
robin7 10-18-2008, 09:38 AM I still can't accept the fact that Aditi lost to Linda whom she beat comfortably last year.
Svilen 10-18-2008, 10:45 AM Yes, she beated Linda last year in Swiss Open, but Linda had been recovering from contusion. So, May be it is surprise for you, but Linda has a great talant which she couldn't show up now because of the many contusions she had, but I think now she shows everybody her strenght.
touya 10-18-2008, 10:54 AM yes i agree...
Linda has shown her power especially in this tournament...
she beat INA maria elfira easily, then judith,2 seed only in 2 set, and i didn't surprise when she also beat aditi..
everyone can grown up, man...
robin7 10-18-2008, 11:16 AM yes, actually i hate india because they have beat many INA players this recent week...
Another childish fans. Looks like someone needs to grow up. U r letting your country down. LOL
Svilen 10-18-2008, 11:32 AM By the way I've watched Aditi MUTATKAR's matches in Sofia against Maria Elfira and Petya. I was really impressed by her game for the hole match with Elfira she made only 3 or 4 smashes and they were not very strong... her playing style is little strange for me she is making the rally, run, run and run again, only waiting the opponent to make mistake she has no smash.... She plays well but without smash I think she can't go too far and.... she is cute actually :) :) :D
touya 10-18-2008, 11:36 AM Another childish fans. Looks like someone needs to grow up. U r letting your country down. LOL
so what???:mad::mad:
hey, i already said be4 no offense...
and the one i said 'everyone can grown up' is Linda!!
don't misunderstanding what i said...
can't i have an opinion about what i hate and not?????:mad::mad:
or can't i just talk my opinion 'bout some players???
if my fav players lose, i won't try to make a problem with the other ppl...
please don't make the situation here worse...
touya 10-18-2008, 11:40 AM once more...
i said "i hate india" doesn't mean i hate the country, specific people, or what...
i just upset because recently our players was beaten out by indian players...
that's all... just an upset shutout from me...
so once again... NO OFFENSE TO ANYBODY...
ctjcad 10-18-2008, 11:54 AM I think the German pair will do very well and trouble Fran-Rendra. Kindervater is very experienced. He has been a top 15 player in MD for a long time...;)
..Ingo is indeed an experienced Doubles specialist (as he used to partner and won a few tourneys, mostly in Europe, w/Kristof Hopp in MD and Kathrin Piotrowski in XD in the last 4 yrs). And yes, he's also been a a permanent fixture, as a competitor, in the Dutch Open, competing in the last 5 Dutch Opens.
This yr though, he's competing w/ a new MD partner.
I went to the Dutch Open the first 4 days and i'm really impressed by Anand. Because I'm from The Netherlands I gotta say I prefer Eric Pang to win, but would have liked it more if this match was the final. Not there today, is anyone gonna tape the match and put it online?

..that's cool; any pics to share?? Mind sharing what you saw??..And i wonder if our other Dutch-based BCers also attended this tourney (namely jerby, Fengwei and demolidor??)..
chemile 10-18-2008, 12:38 PM Another childish fans. Looks like someone needs to grow up. U r letting your country down. LOL
Robin, I think he/she did not mean hate Indian people, he just cannot/not correct to translate the expression from Bahasa to English. I hope you all understand of this.

I also think Touya does not have hate issues... :p It's a small misunderstanding. But... next time, better avoid the hate word altogether lah... ;) Just to be safe [and polite]...

chemile and Krisna, I know u guys are trying to cover the poster.
When I saw that statement, I have tried to read it in Indonesian (don't forget I had been staying in Jakarta for many years). No matters how I read it, it only shows one thing - the childishness and immaturity of the poster, he/she "hates" those players because they beat his/her players. Unfortunately, I've seen many of those immatured posters from the same country.
Instead of showing anger () , the poster should apologize, then the case is closed.
touya 10-20-2008, 08:44 AM thank you for krisna n chemile...
hahaha... you're so funny robin...
let me ask you something, do you angry because linda beat aditi???
(u said u can't accept the fact aditi was beaten by linda)
and you blame other people who cheer for Linda rather than aditi??
i think u should know who the one is childish... LOL...
u know... if linda was beaten with aditi that time... I will accept it...
and about 'hate' things.. let me clear this...
before i said that, u asks me right, why i cheer up for Linda?? Is it because Aditi beat my countrywoman??
And my HONEST answer is that... what's wrong with giving such a honest answer?? do you prefer ' a lying answer ' that can satisfy you???
hey, not everyone in this world have the same opinion with u...
i think Forum is the place to speak our opinion, whether it is not satisfy the other people... ok??
And why should I apology to you?? I didn't see any mistake from me??
you are not indian right?? so that's fine...
if my answer is disturbing any indian people here, I AM APOLOGY, but that's my opinion... As a said before, it's only upset shoutout from me, didn't mean to cause any hatred to indian people...
I hope u can understand this...
robin7 10-20-2008, 11:11 AM Stubborn touya, I didn't ask u to apologize to me but to all Indians.
Just a reminder to u as a new member who still has posts less than 100, behave yourself in this forum.
If u think my statement offended u, u have too offended the all Indians in the world by "hating" them. If u still think that u r right, go ahead and behave as what u like.
Anyway, I've reported to the mods and let them take further actions...

My oh my...
It's 20 deg. Celsius right now in Bandung, yet it's over 50 in BC. :p
Calm down, you two.
I see it (that "I hate India") as spontaneous, temporary anger (he's angry coz Aditi beat many INA gals). And I'm sure s/he had no intention to offend India (the nation or the people).
