I'm not running this for profit so it's all cost price shared among everyone. It's going to be cheaper than what's out there now. $7 is just the average price. If we get enough people, (say 9 more) then will probably go down to $6 or $5 each.

We've got roughly about 10 people so far, so there's plenty of room left. As of right now, you can play continuous for the 2 hours :cool:

So what about shuttles? Is it included in the price? What kind of shuttles are we using?

shuttles are included in the cost. However, I've only estimated for about 2-3 tubes per night at the moment. So any additional will affect the price..
But with that said, the shuttles are the Epsilon greens. I would like to upgrade to the epsilon yellows, but will get the general consensus if everyone would like to pay the extra to get better shuttles.. But that's down the track anyway.

IMO epsilion shuttlecock range are not good at all.

The older version of APACS 909 (i think) seems to be better, but not the newer ones.

It could barely last 1 game with below average attacking game play.

Oh well, there're all around the AUD 15-22 mark anyway. Just try most of the brands & choose the better ones.

You don't have to buy it from ebay. You can go to the shop and tell them the price.

I also made a review of shuttlecocks that can be bought locally and overseas.

Cool. Thanks phandrew. I'll keep this in mind. I guess the main thing is if there's a consensus by everyone there to get the better shuttles, I'll get them. It's not going to be a club or anything so we'll just share the costs.
I've got a couple of tubes of the Epsilons left so maybe to start off with, we'll just finish those first and then look at other alternatives.

Haha.. I know Jacky. I've played in some places where they get from Jacky too. But the shuttles don't seem to last very long sometimes..

I play with Jacky and the Apacs shuttlecocks are average but too expensive for their performance.

1. I didn't get your e-mail address from you until earlier this week. But then you weren't sure you were coming.
2. I only send out 2 e-mails a week to players. I don't like to spam and I don't expect others to like being spammed either. I'm sending out one this morning for next Tuesday. Please respond if you're still interested.

Is it just me or the shuttles we used are a lot faster than normal? I keep hitting it out of lines with the usual stroke & strengths.

Maybe we need to change a shuttle to slower speed? Otherwise, not so fun. A simple lift or clear will results in out ofl lines...

Really? It's normal shuttles that we use.. and I thought the shuttles travel a little slow.. maybe you're just getting stronger.. ;)
But seriously, they're just the average ones. We can get the tournament ones which I imagine are faster, but the epsilon greens are at the low end of the epsilon ranges. (They've got Yellow and Greens) The ones that you get from the sports and rec hall at Monash Clayton are Yellows.. so they're a little faster than the greens I think.

Considering Tuesday night was a bit warm 51 is too high. You should of used 49(77) or 50(78)
