Level of play: Mostly intermediate, there are also some strong and weaker players.

I've been playing there since 2006 and I find it okay. I guess it helps that it's close to my house.

Regarding the membership and all that, it's actually quite simple, you either choose to become a member and pay $4, or pay $7 as a casual member, or if you're a student, you just pay $5, without having to join membership.

Come down if you can, even if it's just for the experience, the club's quite a friendly bunch so you shouldn't have any problem settling in.

murdoch and melville is quite a trip for me since i live in ballajura but i do have a tendency to travel for good games :D maybe when i get back in shape i just might.

Not a problem, I believe we're all just contributing in the name of keeping the sport alive and letting people know where they can play. From my knowledge, the UWA club runs on Wednesday nights, and there's also another club that plays at Light St, where I play, on Monday nights.

I used to play at UWA for about 2 or so years. I can't comment on how the club is like now since I haven't played there for quite some time. I believe they also only run during the semesters, and take a break during the holidays and uni breaks and obviously, during the exam period as the hall is used up for that. I guess you probably won't get to play at the club until February next year.

Some of them are quite good at badminton.

You don't have to be a member to play, just pay 7 dollars which include the shuttlecocks(ANYU).

Since when did UWA had a place to play at joondalup or Mt Lawley? Are you referring to ECU instead??

Just for info as well, if you aren't into real competitive badminton or you're like just starting out and want to hit some shuttles around with your friends, you can attend the session at Rossmoyne SHS on sundays at 1. Friendly organisers and level of play range from beginners to high beginner, except of perhaps once in awhile a select few who are intermediate. =)

UWA is not in joon or lawly ....... i dunno how to explain where it is .. google and look for where it is ....
