yes, he will participate. I think the ticket is not that expensive. Since it'll be held in Tennis Indoor.

I like to see taufik play. But IMO, does taufik have more motivation to play in kejurnas? Hope the ticket is cheap, like thomas/uber cup. But i'm afraid of "calo". They sell ticket for higher price.

It's just national championship, not world tournament. & it also mixed team tournament. I don't think he will play the best here. Since there are 2 ss series left. He still may qualify to final ss.

from cawang, u can take busway & change to corridir 3 to blok m. u can alight at gelora bungkarno halte. it's the cheapest way. just spend Rp.3500 for busway

This makes things interesting :cool: SGS has a chance if Taufik Hidayat can beat Simon Santoso, which under current form, he should. The decider will be MD in that case, with Tangkas's weakened MD pair against Hendra A. Gunawan/Imam Sodikin.

Amazingly, Hendra AG-Flandy led 20-19 in game 3 of their match... ;) During the ensuing rally... Kido accidentaly touched the shuttlecock, but the referee didn't say anything and the rally continued... resulting in Hendra AG-Flandy loosing that rally...
Hendra AG protested! Telling the referee that SGS should have won 21-19 when Kido's racket touched the shuttlecock...
The ref agreed with Hendra AG, gave the win to SGS and asked the competitors to shake hands...

The defending National Champ, Jaya Raya, was convincingly defeated by Djarum when Mel-Shendy just slammed their way with ferocious smashes all match long... From what we saw today, Mel-Shendy will give a lot of problems for Lili-Vita... ;) Note that the shuttlecocks are very heavy and thus, make it very hard to win just by sheer speed. Muscle strength matters... :p Lily-Vita are more experienced and skilfull overall, but Mel-Shendy have more muscles! ;)

I expect a tough and tight showdown between the #1 INA WD vs. the #2 INA WD... ;) The #8 pair on Earth vs. the #13 pair... ;) :D

Simon Santoso might not be in his best form this week... Still hampered by a light illness, not sure what. That's because Tangkas already won by then... :p The match started at 4pm and they briskly wiped out Mutiara 3-0 just like that. Then their supporters went home... :p

The defending National Champ, Jaya Raya, was convincingly defeated by Djarum when Mel-Shendy just slammed their way with ferocious smashes all match long... Terrified Jaya Raya fans were shouting & pleading to Nitya-Rani: "Jangan kasih ke Tronton" [translation: don't give it to the cargo truck] They were referring to Shendy who is tall and strong ...and used her sharp smashes [almost flawlessly today] to dismantle Nitya-Rani's defense...

More than 70 Djarum club members, young and old, shouted hysterically everytime Mel and Shendy smashed.... Luluk Hadianto, Herryanto [All England Champ 1981 and 1984], Eddy Hartono a.k.a. Kempong [All England Champ 1991 and Olympic Silver Medallist 1992], Haryanto Arbi [All England Champ 1994 and 1995] were there... I think all of them were eager to see Djarum become the National Champions again... If they do succeed, then that will be the first time since 1998! :p

Nova Widianto/Liliyana Natsir and Vita Marissa/Liliyana Natsir won in straight sets over Mohd Rijal/Yulianti and Meiliana Jauhari/Shendy Puspa Irawati respectively.

Meanwhile, Maria Kristin Yulianti and Andre Kurniawan Tedjono contributed 2 pts for Djarum, beating Yuan Kartika Putri in straight-sets and Alamsyah Yunus in rubber-sets, with the score being 21-19 in the decider set....a very tense and tight match according to Krisna. What a crucial pt this was for Djarum! If Andre lost that one, it would be all-over for Djarum.

It's the decider tie between Rian Sukmawan/Yonathan Suryatama Dasuki against Nova Widianto/Devin Lahardi. Nova/Devin took the first set as Yoke appeared to be nervous, but, Rian/Yoke levelled the score at 1-1 by taking the second set 21-14. So, it's now rubber-set in that match.

What an ending to Kejurnas 2008. Tangkas eventually wins the trophy after their scratch pairing of Nova Widianto/Devin Lahardi beat Rian Sukmawan/Yonathan Suryatama Dasuki 21-19 in the decider set of the decider match. So, its 3-2 to Tangkas.

Nova/Devin were leading 10-7 and then 12-11 before the Djarum pair caught up with them at 15-15. Too bad, Rian/Yoke lost in such a close match :o

That was part of Djarum's tactics to make Maria Kristin play WS first, MS next, MD next, WD, then lastly XD... If Djarum could not defeat Tangkas in the 4 categories played first, then XD was 99% hopeless.... :p

Watched his performance in Kejurnas, he has very good talent, tall and his smash is very hard. It's pity he is too far with the partner same club/province in Kejurnas.

In WJC he paired with Rendy Sugiharto (Pelatnas/Ratih)who has normal pair Budi Hartono (Pelatnas/Ratih) sometime with M. Ulinnuha (Djarum).

No wonder why Rendy/Budi are splitted and changed to Rendy/Ryan just need more time to practice together.

Ryan Saputra is surely the best talent to come out of Suryanaga Surabaya for a looonggg time. Maybe since Alvent & Sony... ;) He has deadly strokes... Coach Reony Mainaky loves him and picked him [not his usual partner in Suryanaga] to play in the World Junior Championsips this year...

Suryanaga Surabaya is certainly on a decline right now and some aggressive up-coming clubs like Mutiara Bandung and perhaps Ratih Banten are catching up.
