Erm... just realized the date. HK open is started from 24 - 30 Nov. From Monday to Sunday. Normally each SS takes 6 days to finish started from tuesday. Is it too many players wanted to participate in this tournament so there is 1/64? Normally would be started from 1/32 (not to talk about qualification round) :rolleyes:

..last yr's edition also took 7 days to complete. Perhaps to provide some time for people to go shopping and sightseeing/enjoy the city:cool::

No wonder at the end of last yr's HK Open, kwun was pretty much exhausted (also from going to CHN Open) from taking so many pics; thus this yr he's taking a brief hiatus....http://l.yimg.com/us.yimg.com/i/mesg/emoticons7/39.gif;)

One of the reason is that there's limited number of courts at the Queen Elizabeth Stadium. So, only 3 courts played starting from Monday to possibly Thursday (Qualifying Rounds for Monday and Tuesday morning, with Main Draw played from Tuesday onwards). For Friday (QF), there should be only 2 courts and only 1 court for Saturday (SF) and Sunday (F).

Not really, only Monday and Tuesday early morning, since the numbers are restricted to just 16 for MS, WS, and 8 for the doubles.
