I would think that Djarum's junior pair Rizky Yanu Kresnayadi/Albert Saputra have a chance of progressing to the SF. Meanwhile, Mohd Ulinnuha/Didit Juang might also create some surprise. Didit just won the Kejurnas title with his regular partner, Seiko.

Ullin-Berry have been the best INA Under-19 pair [outside Pelatnas Pratama] this season. Winning around 4 out of the 8 Nasional Circuit... :D Didit-Seiko is the #2 best pair in the Circuit. Both pairs are favorite students of Coach Sigit Budiarto...
However, Berry have been suffering Typhoid for the past 2 months. Berry didn't have enough fuel and training to be his best during this year's Kejurnas. Thus, Didit-Seiko won the National Title! :D For the Malaysia Challenge, Ullin-Didit is paired to give both extra exposure in anticipation of the 2009 World Junior Championships... ;) Berry is resting...:p

5 WS matches either being played/to be played shortly, I think Bellaetrix Manuputty and perhaps Ana Rovita & Febby Angguni could qualify to QF. Tieke Ariedaningrum and Rischa Meisiani should be inferior to their Thai and Korean opponents. Let's see.

As expected, Rischa Meisiani (Djarum player I reckon?) lost to Kim Moon Hi....but....she gave an all-out performance in stretching the fourth-seed to 3-sets, losing "only" 19-21 in the rubber. Good sign.
Meanwhile, Ana Rovita also progresses to QF, beating another MAS opponent in straight-sets :D
Score is tied at 1-1 between MAS and INA today; with 4 more matches later. I expect Rizky/Albert and Bella to win later. Meanwhile, Bandar and Hendra/Trikusuma should lose to Kuan Beng Hong [2] and the top-seed in MD (Gan Teik Chai/Ong Jian Guo).

Rischa is quite good looking... :p White skin, cute smile, playful eyes... ;) She will still play as an Under-19 next year... Ana Rovita was crowned National Under-19 champion last week... Ok now we wait for Tike and Belleatrix... ;)

Only 1 out of 3 INA's MS players survives and is through to the QF. Andreas Adityawarman beat the eighth-seed Chong Li Qun in three-sets: 15-21, 21-14, 21-17. Meanwhile, Andi Nugroho Saputro lost to the seeded Korean player Shon Wan Ho, while Bandar Sigit Pamungkas also lost as expected to the second-seed Kuan Beng Hong. So, Andreas will face an interesting clash against Tan Chun Seang tomorrow.
5 more matches for today: 3 WD and 2 MD and realistically, I expect only Rizky Yanu Kresnayadi/Albert Saputra and hopefully Annisa Wahyuni/Nimas Rani Wijayanti to progress. Debby Susanto/Komala Dewi have a tough tie against Bae Seung Hee/Park Sun Young, while Delis Yuliana/Yayu Rahayu should lose to the top-seed Frances Liu Fan/Vanessa Neo Yu Yan.

I think all of the INA players will lose tomorrow, with the exception of Rizky Yanu Kresnayadi/Albert Saputra. Andreas Adityawarman might also stand a slight chance against Tan Chun Seang. As for the WS, Ana Roivta and Febby Angguni are likely to lose to seeded opponents, while in the XD, Rizky Yanu Kresnayadi/Yayu Rahayu are also likely to lose to Teo Kok Siang/Sannatasah Saniru.

Tan Chun Seang is very talented and can be explosive and energetic... Adit needs to slow the game down and make it a "trench warfare"... slow, boring, yet energy consuming... ;) If Adit can bore TCS to death, then TCS might loose inspiration and just wanna finish the match as soon as possible. Thus, incurring his youthful recklessness... :D

Malaysia set to take all men’s singles semi spots
KUALA LUMPUR: Malaysia are one step away from taking all four places in the semi-finals of the Malaysia International Challenge men’s singles competition at the Likas Sports Complex in Kota Kinabalu.
Yesterday, four players won their third-round matches. And only Kuan Beng Hong breezed into the last eight, taking 35 minutes to beat Indonesia’s Bandar Sigit Pamungkas 21-17, 21-11 to set up a match against South Korean Shon Wan-ho.
Three others — Tan Chun Seang, Chong Wei Feng and Mohd Arif Abdul Latif — had to go to the distance to advance to matches against Andreas Adityawarman of Indonesia, South Koreans Park Wan-ho and Rho Ye-wook respectively.
It will be a first for Malaysia if all four make it to the semi-finals and much will depend on whether Chun Seang could pull it off.
http://thestar.com.my/archives/2008/11/21/sports/s_70benghong.jpg Easily through: Beng Hong scored straight-game win over Indonesian Bandar Sigit in the third round match.
Team manager How Kim Tho said that Andreas, who beat three Malaysians (Kuan Kam Chung, Loo Yik Xiang and Chong Li Qun) to get into the quarter-finals would be the main threat.
“Youngster Andreas is the most experienced of all the opponents our players have to play against in the quarter-finals. He has played in more international tournaments,” said Kim Tho from Kota Kinabalu.
“But Chun Seang is very determined to prove himself here. I am confident that he can pull it off. It will be great to have an all-Malaysian semi-finals.”
In the women’s singles, Malaysia are assured of a place in the semi-finals with Sannatasah Saniru taking on Vivian Hoo today.
World junior doubles champions Mak Hee Chun-Teo Kok Siang stayed on track for their first senior international title when they checked into the quarter-finals with a convincing 21-12, 21-16 win over Chen Chung-jen-Huang Po-yi of Taiwan.
They will take on Nuttaphon Nar*kt*hong-Patiphat Chalardchalaem of Thailand for a place in the semi-finals.

INA TVs will only air badminton matches if the tournaments have big prestige.
Let's say, PON, INA SS, SEA Games, Asian Games, Sudirman Cup, and Thomas/Uber Cup.
All England and Olympics, maybe yes, maybe no.
Other than that, well, let's just bear with it. :o

According to tournamentsoftware, there is a TV Court... So, I assume it will be shown live on Malaysian TV... ;) Nothing for us INA fans, I suppose...
I don't think they'll show this tourney on tv...They didn't even show the China SS until the end..:(

Just so some of you know, RTM normally doesnt show it LIVE, they show it 3 weeks to 1 month later. So far this year, the only one they showed live was for local tourneys is Penang Open.
I'll post here, when RTM put up the schedule , normally at midnite Msia time.

I don't think Adit can be as effective when playing against Chong Wei Feng... 45% chance of winning... Febby has a better chance against the 1st seeded Hung... ;) 50% chance of winning...
Go Febby! ;) Febby has a similar playing style as Ana Rovita, whom Hung barely defeated in rubber sets in the quarterfinals. However, Febby is better than Ana... thus, I sort of expect that Febby can do better against Hung... ;) Also, there is a possibility that Hung is damn tired after being forced to play a resilient Ana in the previous round... :p I don't know anything about the Korean that will face Febby tomorrow... But virtually all Korean WS are tough to beat... :p Let's hope Febby can do well...
As for Adit, I think he will fare much better at the Bahrain International Challenge in 2 weeks... ;)

Feby still young, 17 y.o.
After 2 years joined in Pelatnas, looked like passed by some new comers like Lindaweni, Alfa or Nova Rizky (all of them are older than her)
This time under Djarum's squad, she proved us who is the best among INA Junior.

Congratulation to Febby Angguni who grab her first International Challenge WS title. I wish she will continue and increase to world level, and become Indonesia bright star to compete with other countries youngsters from China, Korea, Malaysia, Thailand, and India... She proved that she is still the best among INA WS Junior. I hope other INA juniors such as Lindaweni Fanetri, Alfa, Ana Rovina will follow Feby's success or beyond on that..

I actually worry about INA MS in the future. Up to now, INA doesn't have bright future star after Simon Santoso. Tommy Sugiarto quite good, but he has a problem with the stamina (almost same with his father :P).

Almost inevitably, Tommy Sugiarto usually collapses in the rubber-set.
