It's a rematch of the Chinese-Taipei Open Final, which was won by Boe/Mogensen. I think another three-setter looms and Boe/Mogensen have the edge if it does go to rubber-set. I hope Tony/Candra can give their best yet again and win it in straight-sets!

Jung Jae Sung/Lee Yong Dae [3] vs Koo Kien Keat/Tan Boon Heong [5] -- a repeat of the Badminton Asia Championships Final. It will be a tremendous achievement for Koo/Tan to beat the Korean pair....and they seem to be up for it after they survived today's gruelling encounter against the Danish second seed. However, Jung/Lee do have a slight edge.

Interestingly, the MD title has been won by INA pairs at least since 2004.
2004 & 2005: Candra Wijaya/Sigit Budiarto (memorable final in 2005 against Jens Eriksen/Martin Lundgaard Hansen right till the end, which I watched live on TV in Shenzhen)

2006 & 2007: Markis Kido/Hendra Setiawan (over Fu Haifeng/Cai Yun and Guo Zhendong/Xie Zhongbo in straight sets. I was in Guangzhou to watch the Finals on both occassions).

2008: first time the tournament is held in Shanghai.....who will win the MD title? IMHO, Jung Jae Sung/Lee Yong Dae have the highest chance since their most feared opponent (Paaske/Rasmussen) lost today. But I hope Tony/Candra can keep the "tradition" of winning in China Open. 2 more matches for them to overcome!

They should have longer life-span as most Danish MD pairs tend to last till 30++. Mathias Boe/Carsten Mogensen are improving a lot this year and they show that they can win a few titles as well this year.

Last SS Zhu Lin lost from INA WS in 1st round, and in this China Open SS she didn’t face any real player except Sania in 1st round. Jiang gave big impression this week by defeated top player Wang Yihan, Wang Chen, and XXF. If her performance remains same, I think she can spot final tomorrow.

Zhu Jingjing – Wang Ling

ZJJ gave good performance yesterday, she was easily defeat 1st seeded Aunty Zhou. Wang Lin also good this week, I think she can get another SS title this week.

MS:

Lee CW – Park SH

Lee CW; I think he can reach another final. Compare to Park; Lee CW more ready than Park since it is Park 1st Tourney after OG.

Kai Wen – Lin Dan

I think it’s Kai Wen end for China Open, but I hope he can make another up set. Lin Dan; even though it is his 1st SS after OG, but I think he is in good mood to reach final. So, I think tomorrow is replay of OG final.

INA/USA senior player gave good performance yesterday defeated top seeded. Boe/Mogensen beat MAS youngster Fuzzy pair. I think it’s difficult to predict. But, with their experience; Tony/Chandra have a chance to win today.

It’s also difficult match to predict; both young players. I think KKK/TBH has woken up again after their long sleep.
