The match between Bona Septano/Mohd Ahsan and Koo Kien Keat/Tan Boon Heong was a one-sided match. Bona/Ahsan were only able to give some challenge after the interval of the second set, when they won 5 straight pts at 7-11 down to lead 12-11. But, Koo/Tan regained the initiatives and there was nothing much the INA pair can do.

The match between Weny Rahmawati/Laura Choinet and the local HKG pair went all the way to deuce in the rubber-set. We were all cheering for Weny while there were local supporters sitting beside us :D At the end, it was a battle of nerves and the French pair handled it better to win it 23-21 after saving 1 match pt at 19-20.

It was an unconvincing performance by the Olympics and World Champions Markis Kido/Hendra Setiawan, who must rely on every bit of experience (and luck too) in beating Hong Chieng Hun/Ng Kean Kok in three tight sets 18-21, 21-17, 21-18.

The MAS pair was performing well, if not for the many service errors that both players made (esp Ng Kean Kok), they might have won the game just now :o One thing for sure, they were not easy to be killed...and this frustrated the INA pair. Things were still tight until it was about 16-16 to the INA pair in the rubber-set. I saw Ng Kean Kok breathing so heavily at that time and that was probably a sign of exhaustion. True enough, the INA pair raced to a 19-16 lead immediately and eventually allowed 2 more pts for the MAS pair.

Sarah Bok is a hottie, while Hau-Ge commented that Jenny Wallwork is also (I don't think so) :o:D The match between Jenny Wallwork/Gabrielle White and Yao Jie/Judith Meulendijks was also pretty entertaining. The Dutch pair had 3 match pts saved and eventually, the ENG youngsters took the rubber-set 27-25.

I think they had a smooth ride today....not much problem between the two, except at one stage when Bona/Ahsan were catching up at 7-11 in the second set. Rexy is in Hong Kong.

We were quite impressed by Hong Chieng Hun/Ng Kean Kok. They were basically returning almost every smashes made by the INA pair :eek: Not easy to be killed....unbelievable really. Ng Kean Kok also had powerful left-handed smash shots that yielded the MAS pair a number of points :o
