And everyone, according to GD SPorts commentator,
1) tommorrow, 19 Dec, GD Sports will show live from 3.30 pm China/Msia/Spore time. for how long or how many breaks they will have in between they didnt say.
Guest commentator for tomm is China's just retired WD : Yang Wei & her "other half" (who?? didnt know YW has bf or husband)

2) Semi & Finals will be live at 2 pm. Guest commentator : Zhao Jianhua

I don't know why indonesia local television (NOT cable tv) doesn't show it. If it's football event, our local tv absolutely will show it. Eventhough indonesia doesn't participate. So sad..

I have problems using SopCast. He doens't show the CCTV-5 channel either GDsports. Why did these channels dissapear ?

When the channels disappear, I just use this:

GDTV's schedule is just the way Klasse's website says it is.

Shanghai Sports is again just the way Klasse says except that it looks like finals coverage has been cut to just over an hour. If I am correct and this (http://epg.tvsou.com/program/TV_41/Channel_86/W7.htm) is the Shanghai Sports schedule for tomorrow, the coverage of this badminton event, in which it just so happens no Chinese players are playing, will get cut off after 1h20min, at 15:15, so that the Shanghai residents can see this soccer event (卫星http://epg.tvsou.com/fangzhuaqu/out/1847964012.gif:2008国际足联俱乐部世界杯三、四名 (http://jq.tvsou.com/introhtml/43/index_4332.htm)), in which no Chinese players have ever played.

The other difference is that Klass has a mistake, saying that Shanghai will be showing this evening 21:45~21:00. That should be 19:45~21:00. That means that you can watch Shanghai Sports from 19:45~21:00, then wait half an hour for Guangdong's 4.5h of coverage to start. I doubt any of that will be live, though.

As for BTV-6, I couldn't get it to come up last night at all. It sat there buffering for over half an hour and never did show me anything, badminton or otherwise.

As for WOB, their website says this about the USA (http://wob.tv/main.aspx?level=support):

I emailed for info about Korea, hoping the last-minute nature of the Finals might have meant that SBS didn't have a contract for it yet but I was told I couldn't see it. In the Korean case, SBS having a contract with IEC means that they can effectively block live coverage in Korea - even me paying for it over the Internet - so that they can show 2h of coverage a month from now with only the matches involving Korean players. And they'll show it from 9-11 on a weekday morning, sandwiched between 9-ball pool and Kang Ho-dong's variety talent show or some other non-sports broadcast. And if a match lasts only 40 minutes, they'll use the extra 20 minutes to show baseball highlights. So frustrating.

I'm pretty sure CCTV-5 has nothing...

LOL, RTM 1 is NOT showing Semi FInals. Only Finals will be live on RTM 1.

Well, they all lied, again. BTV-6 was to have been showing badminton for another hour but they just finished the first quarter of a basketball game. Shanghai was to have just started but they are showing ping pong with no end in sight. I'll be very surprised if GDTV shows anything live with such a late starting time. Very frustrating.

The same with me... btw, i should confess i enjoyed watching table tennis for a while. But they should play badminton.. the table is too small! :)

Well, I've been waiting around since 8PM here hoping to see some badminton, considering that 3 channels had it on their schedules!! Beijing and Shanghai both lied. I actually wonder whether they are actually too stupid to change their schedules. In other words, did they make these schedules way back before the Chinese team announced it wasn't going and then they decided to show other sports and just didn't bother to change the outdated schedules?

On the positive side, I'm happy to have been proven wrong about the total lack of live coverage. GDTV did start its evening broadcast early enough to catch a whopping 25 minutes of the evening's most boring match.

Yes, Guangdong Sports has it, as they did last night. Thankfully, they have been true to their schedule at least these two times. There appears to be no connection between the schedules that KlassE and I found for Shanghai Sports and what Shanghai Sports actually shows, so thank goodness for GDTV.
