well i guess that make sense....since i heard russia goal is to clinch a gold in the next olympic....so they need ina player/ex player to do some coaching in there...guess they still have some faith and trust with our plyrs.....

Take it easy, our badminton officials have no other choice but claiming such a goal. If they would say, for example, "our goal is to enter quarter-finals" - it will be more realistic, but not impressive for Russia. Big bosses demand medals, preferably gold, and there are many other kinds of sports where we can get them... so why spend money for developing rather "exotic" for Russia badminton, without hopes for medals in the nearest future, instead of investing in "proven" wrestling, boxing, athletics, etc.?

By the way, last two years they claimed a goal of one medal (bronze:D) in Beijing, and were (or feigned) very disappointed by the outcome...:crying::D:D

I want to see this year event.It's not unusual for the tournament website to launch two weeks or less before the tournament starts. Fear not, once it materializes, the link will be easy to find in this forum, on the www.badzine.info (http://www.badzine.info) mainpage, or on the bka website (www.koreabadminton.org (http://www.koreabadminton.org)). In fact, the URL (http://www.koreaopen.or.kr) will most likely be the same as the 2008 one, it will just be relaunched when they have a bit of updated data.

Errr..because they are still holding CHN passports?
Quitting the national team does not mean that you can no longer represent your nation.

Just like Candra Wijaya and Luluk Hadiyanto. They will still be representing INA, albeit, as independent players.
