Hi again =) I am planning to buy an Arc 10 sometime in the near future.. and I was just wondering about the frame durability. I have already heard more than once that it cracks after a couple months of use.. and I am very scared about that ><;;
I play with BG 66 @ 25 lbs, and I was just wondering if that would put a LOT of unnecessary strain on the frame, or just a bit. o.o Also wondering what would be the 'best' string tension/string if there is one for this racquet.
Thanks in advance :D

Well there are some thread around the forum said that there's paint "scratches" on the T-joint, but otherwise I haven't heard/seen any severe damages.

isn't 25lbs within the recommended range for the arc10?

I strung my Arc Saber 10 at 28LBS X 28LBS with BG66S.
Thanks.

IMO, NBG 98 is great for ARC 10.
I've strung 1 @ 25 x 27 lbs and another @ 26lbs.
Don't seem to feel any difference with the different stringing methods though. :D

I want to try but its so inconvenient and expensive to get it here in Canada
Hmm maybe trying out the racket first should answer your question. Plus I have an Arc10 stringed at 25x27 using NGB98.

I just started using Arc Saber 10 at 28Lbs with BG66. How long did your string lasts before it breaks (on average in terms of how many games)? And also how long have you been using Arc10? I just wanna have a rough estimate as to how long my string and racket will last :)

BG66Sharp isnt' the same as BG66; bg 66 sharp I think is 0.68mm...and 66 is 0.66mm, so HKChua's is probably gonna last longer.

It depends on the stringer. If properly strung any modern carbon graphite racquet can be strung to 34lbs, and that includes a US$15 racquet or an Arc 10.

So fast :( have you tried BG80? Btw, why did you change from AT700 to ARC10? I'm thinking of trying AT700 and use as spare. Would it be better if I just get another ArcSaber 10 for spare?

I am still having one piece of the AT-700 and two pieces of the AT-700 LIMITED.
But, frankly speaking, Arc Saber 10 is really a beast for doubles; it is really a MUST have.
Initially, due to the fact that I was used to head heavy rackets, it took me a while to get use to the Arc Saber 10. One of the main reasons for ditching AT-700 is that it is simply too fragile. I have been stringing my Arc Saber 10 at 28 x 28LBS and never have any problems.
I will be getting another Arc Saber 10 as spare.
Thanks.

Thanks for the reply.. i guess i'll stick to ArcSaber 10 then as I am comfortable with it.. I love the ArcSaber 10 strung at BG66 @ 28lbs, but seems like the string would break every now and then. When you mention that AT700 is more fragile, do you mean it is easier to break? Because I don't string my own racket, so i don't know. And do I have to ask my stringer to do 4-knots for my ArcSaber 10? Sorry if the questions are silly and thanks for replying :)

Hi Trance,
I have NBG 95 strung at 26 x 29 and it's produced great results. Smashes, clears, and drops are crisp. So far, this is the best string I've used for this racket. Before this string, I tried BG-65 Ti and it felt ok but it wasn't as good as the 95. I'm going to try Ashaway Micropower next. Hope you can find the right string and tension:)
