Nevermind, let me double check ;) hehe...go check 1st...;)... etudiant 01-25-2009, 02:32 PM Never heard of Shi Xiaoquan.....Wang Shixian maybe......is Xiaoquan good... cooler 01-25-2009, 02:37 PM if they are in wr 100+...how they play in ae???:confused:AE is an OPEN........where someone who is WR 100 has the rights to beat WR 1 so lcw should watch his back lol suetyan 01-25-2009, 08:11 PM Never heard of Shi Xiaoquan.....Wang Shixian maybe......is Xiaoquan good... Now you heard of it ;) Actually ZJJ and SXQ were in the first team for quite a long time, but LYB seldom sends them out, maybe due to their heights. LYB dislikes shorties. But I really hopes ZJJ can participate in AE because I like to see the style she plays also. She ever been called a 'superwoman' by ZM :D For your information, Wang Shixian is in second team :) suetyan 01-25-2009, 08:22 PM AE is an OPEN........where someone who is WR 100 has the rights to beat WR 1 so lcw should watch his back lol yeah, it is just those who have rankings lower or lower than 100 have to start in the qualification round. Don't forget there was some case that a qualifier beat a world number 1 in final. And some other cases like a qualifier can enter into final also jasonmarc 01-25-2009, 10:14 PM AE is an OPEN........where someone who is WR 100 has the rights to beat WR 1 so lcw should watch his back lol Yes,..very true....just like in 2007 AE...KKK/TBH was rank +100 went on to beat FHF/CY who ranked top 3 at that time in the final.......:D CLELY 01-27-2009, 12:19 AM Probable MS: Lin Dan Bao Chunlai Chen Jin Lv Yi Qiu Yanbo Gong Weijie Wen Kai Lu Qicheng Du Pengyu Chen Long From above list, only LD, BCL and defending champion CJ who automatically will enter AE main drawing, others must play qualification round. CHN lesser known shuttlers like Wen Kai, Du Pengyu, Gong Weijie could become dangerous opponent for elite players. eaglehelang 01-27-2009, 12:48 AM AE is an OPEN........where someone who is WR 100 has the rights to beat WR 1 so lcw should watch his back lol What it meant is normally those with WR#100++ dont even get to play qualifying in SS, esp singles, they're too far down the ranking. With team China back, there would be less slots for those lower WR. In doubles, as you know, they can pair a seeded player & still play.;) huangkwokhau 01-27-2009, 09:04 AM Basically we know the list of CHN for AE: Lulan XXF Jiang yanqiao WangLin Wang Yi Han Zhu Lin Lindan Chen Jin Gong Wei Jie BCL Lu Yi tommy_bun 01-27-2009, 09:13 AM Probable XD: Zheng Bo/Majin He Hanbin/Yu Yang Xie Zhongbo/Zhang Yawen Chain Biao/Wang Xiaoli Sun Junjie/Cheng Shu Xu Chen/Zhao Yunlei The pairs might subject to change I dont think Cheng Su is a good MX player,I think even Tian Qing and PanPan are better than her.And one thing I dont understand why Zhao TingTing doesnt play MX anymore??? huangkwokhau 01-27-2009, 09:16 AM I dont think Cheng Su is a good MX player,I think even Tian Qing and PanPan are better than her.And one thing I dont understand why Zhao TingTing doesnt play MX anymore??? RedShuttle 01-27-2009, 09:59 PM Thats good..better concentrate Cheng Su on WD I'd like to see Cheng Shu in XD. That should help to improve her net game for WD where ZYL is strong at both front and back. Besides, Cheng Shu may turn out to be another LHJ and do something great in XD. X Ball 01-27-2009, 10:36 PM Hehe, since there is a thread for Mas AE squad, I would like to open a thread for my favourite team :D It would have been my favourite team too if I were a Chinese national. :D Will LD and BCL be ready to rock and roll ? I guess they would be else why go - but really, are they capable with their absence in several SS's ? Are they going to be match fit (not just physical but mental too). I think the AE will be a benchmark for this year. george@chongwei 01-28-2009, 03:06 AM looks like the MIGHTY china team are very strong in this tournament..;) they are all 'fresh' after the military camp and the cny celebration:D jljy91 01-29-2009, 07:36 AM Some infos that I got: KKK/ Ng Hui Lin KKK/TBH Fuzzy pair Lim Kim Wah/Thien Hoon Thien Hoon/chin WPT/Chin LCW Julia Wong lydia Cheah WMC Chong Wei Feng.. Here's chance for Julia to show something to us. limsy 01-31-2009, 03:07 AM yes...is time for youngster to take the challenge in ws...wmc deserve applause and respect from many... If you are ranked 50+ in singles, you have no chance playing in AE, only the top 44 players are garanteed a place in the SS tournaments (including the qualification). The qualification draw size is limited to 16 (competing for 4 places in the main draw). limsy 02-09-2009, 03:45 AM Come on, Suetyan.
