Yes..it has been a while..also Li Ning is developing premium badminton racket as Kason is a lower range in Lining's product development range...tehy are testing the new racket and been told it will be ready in few months....

I think Wang Chen is sponsored by Li Ning ? I saw from the recent super series that the racquet she is using has Li Ning's logo. Not too sure if it is really a Li Ning's badminton racquet and the racquet seems to be Oval shape instead of Iso.

In fact.. there are talks that Li Ning might want to take over Yonex as a major sponsors in SuperSeries and probably players will don Li Ning Goods instead of Yonex in the future. But they are taking small steps at a time.

Yonex is only big in badminton and a bit in tennis but li ning has a wider product and business scope, and u can't beat china market as home base market to boot. Just look at 08 OG, more athletes wearing li ning logo than yonex.

yonex is big because the market lacks a brand that has $$$$$ as well as a keen interest and knowledge in badminton market to confront them.

adidas and nike have $$$$$ but no interest and culture in badminton. we now see some tennis brands creeping in like HEAD, WILSON, etc. but have yet to establish a recognition that they too can make badminton rackets...

my eyes would be on Li-Ning, they have $$$$ as well as a keen interest and i guess the knowledge to join the badminton market, and being a brand from China benefits from the already existed culture...

I think there's a common misconception here. It's not that Li Ning badged rackets are the high end and Kason badged rackets are the low end.

Kason indeed make rather fine high-end rackets under their own label. Take the TSF range as an example. They are capable of competing with any racket on the market. Kason are simply owned by Li Ning and produce the rackets for both Li Ning and themselves.


But then again, I would say that wouldn't I ....:rolleyes:.......
