hey guys...i need serious help...i have a tournament in less than 2 weeks and my elbow hurts like a ***** sometimes when i play.i don't know why it hurts like tht...the pain is in the joint.... after a while its totally fine...... its not because i play more than i shud or i play after long time...i played all last month...and even 8 hours a day once and it was all perfect, but yesterday when i started playing it started hurting again.... all i did was hit the birdie up couple times and practiced by hitting the wall.... i don't practice by hitting the wall a lot but don't think thts a factor....i bought Karakal Mtec 70, for the same reason because i thought its light and won't hurt my elbow....yesterday was my 2nd day playing with it..and it started to hurt... i wore the support thingy on my elbow but tht doesn't help... i wonder if any of you have the same problem..and for the same reason i can't do the backhand at alll......any excersise or any tip would be helpfull..thanks..

Rest is the best cure

that is true as with most other injuries. you do want want to overdo it. if your elbow is still sore, then should rest. otherwise you'll be missing out more than just one tournament. ;)

would be best if you consult your medical physician. (unless there is one in these forums :p)

good luck.

Firstly, go and get it checked out by a doctor.

On the badminton front, perhaps your grip size is incorrect, or maybe your technique is causing extra strain on your elbow?

Since the pain is sudden and intermittent (or at least that's what I get from your post) you're trapping a nerve or something?

Whatever it is, the best thing to do is to go to your doctor and try to get a referral to a specialist.
