Nice. Victor seems to have been waiting in the wings for a while now, and it's definitely great to see it finally get some prime time action. Hopefully, they won't raise their prices too much. I'm very curious to see which racket LYD will use.

Is now officially Victor

Inside news from my friend, a victor dealer in Macau.

What are peoples views and opinion?

Heard they will probably use Brave Sword 08, 09 or Explorer 68

Explorer 68

Never heard about that racket but sounds like an old car name to me .

I have two friends sponsored by Victor and I can tell you I'm very impressed by their quality recently (especially clothes style), but I guess I'll stay with Yonex

HI, Everyone
Just answer the question for sponsorship of the Korea National Team. Yes, Victor will sponsor Korea National Team from 2009-2013 and Victor Champion #1 the (Green) Will be the official shuttlecocks used in Korea Tournaments. The New Korea Team Shirt will be Yellow for now. We might get few sign shirts for raffle in Victor 2009 Racket Supply Tournament hosted in San Jose State University.

I don't know why in Korea, sometimes they write Victec instead of Victor.
You can see in this online shopping shop: http://www.badmintonmart.com/product/?md=View&SR=104&L=&Cid=116&Pid=8375
Do anyone know the reason why??

Well it seems like its no longer a Yonex market anymore :) There's going to be more competition between Yonex and other major competitors. Great to see more potential fights!!

I think this is good. More sponsorship in the market also means that badminton is becoming more recognised. Since Yonex is not the only one calling the shots, the players may be able to fetch even better sponsorship deals.

Due to registered trade mark issue, Victor has to use
"Victec" in Korea. But the do have the Logo rights in Korea.

But it is still strange with me. Some rackets have both words Victor and Victec, an example here: http://www.badmintonmart.com/product/?md=View&SR=104&L=&Cid=116&Pid=8375

Hi Mollaio:

If you look at the listing of the racket "Brave Sword 08", you can see that even though the picture shows "Victec," the item is listed under the brand "Victor"
Hope this helps.

Hi Racketsupply
If you see carefully, at the shaft cone, there is "Victec" ^-^ but the symbol on the racket as well as what they write on the attaching paper are Victor symbol and Victor word.
Anyway, there is something confusing in the brand name here.

to be honest when i spoke to the victor officials all they told me is that they are sponsoring the clothing range to the whole of Korean team and in the same time they have also signed up some of the Korean players as their personal sponsor to their accessories used in badminton such as rackets, shoes, bags etc. the officials also told me that they are trying to sign up more players too as their personal sponsor. but some of the players are happy to be useing yonex so they are still with yonex but being signed with the korean team they have to wear Victor clothing range.

woah thats good... i will choose yonex too if i were them... cos is more value for money... and since is sponsor... u not worry abt breaking a arc 10 or at700 :):) and some still stick to yonex means that yonex still hav its selling point... and can suit their needs...:D whos knows after the contract ends with victor... they might back to yonex again:)

Its great to see Victor coming up after lying dormant and within the Yonex market for such a long time now. I'm also a fan of victor shoes but never the shuttles cause they dun seem to fly when i hit them for some reason. It's probably cause i'm too weak or it's just me or the weather or something. Not sure. Victor's gonna be a powerhouse of badminton sponsors now since they are getting so huge.

Li-Ning's another one coming up in the badminton market sponsoring the China Badminton team.

This show's that Yonex is losing leadership over the product. Maybe cause they took for granted that they would always be on top and all? Not sure. Does this mean Yonex will be lowering their racket prices by even a bit now? xD... Li-Ning's rackets are just outrageously expensive although that N90 looks great and i suppose performs well? lolz.

Lets see who will sponsor Malaysia/Indonesia in the near future. If yonex loses them too. Then i suppose its BYE BYE YONEX? xD

I don't believe so. The AT900T is stiffer and head heavier. More power people say.
