The total prize money for this Domestic Circuit is Rp 200 million. I heard Rp 150 million are going to be distributed for the adult [all age] category. I think this is BY FAR the highest prize money for and INA circuit.
Some Kalimantan businessman/institution funded this event. Hope there will be more of these around.

It's surely an interesting development for INA domestic circuit, which I hope can be very very competitive in years to come. This will provide income for those players who are ex-Pelatnas or could not be recruited into Pelatnas. All these will lead to a better environment for badminton in INA.
Way to go!

Interesting clash in the BS, while Ana Rovita confirms her status as a potential Pelatnas player perhaps?
What abt Ari Trisnanto??? I saw that the first seed (dunno who) got knocked out already, while Evert Sukamta is the second-seed.

January may not be a good month since its already packed with the Malaysia & Korea SS :o
I would suggest Feb (only have the Thomas & Uber Cup qualification, could be a good event as a preparation since INA does have to qualify for both).

..i notice besides the English version of the website is how fast the website loads, in comparison to the previous one. Perhaps they've moved the server to another country??..
A few comments/suggestions:
- Not all of the contents/infos are in English. I'd say abt 95-99% of the contents are in English. For example, in the Rules, Profiles & Rankings sections, there are still portions/parts that are still in Indonesian.
- Perhaps they can add the tournamentsoftware.com link to its Information->Results section??..
- Last, they should add BadmintonCentral.com to the Links section.......;)
Overall, i thought they really put in a lot of time into creating this website; maybe the designer is actually a member of BC??..hmm..
It's the maintenance and the keeping-up-to-date that is now most important.

Riyanto Subagja vs Subhan Hasan

Ana Rovita vs Rena Suwarno
Riyanto Subagja will be awesome one day. He probably will be Coach Fang Kaixiang's last great pupil... Coach Fang wants to expose him to more and more international exposure, such as sending him to Dutch Junior and German Junior this year. I think we can realistically hope he can do well in the 2010 World Junior Championship in Mexico City... Riyanto is 16 right now, but will be 17 sometime this year. He is good looking and very popular with the girls...
During the Asian Under-16 championship in Brunei, last year... I heard from PBSI officials that they had to drag girls (players) from various nations [including the Iranian girls who were wearing veils ] out of his room .... And later, they had to constantly monitor his room so that no more girls knock on his door and trying to be 'friendly' towards him :D... Apparently, he is a magnet for teenage girls... :p
Ana Rovita, the INA 2008 National Junior Champion... her potential as a senior will be limited by her height... Too petite, at 160 cm or something... But she has the heart and courage of a lion! ;) Thus, she wins a lot, and I mean A LOT, of Junior matches! ;) just look at her record in the PBSI website...

That also shows the depth we have in MD and why I am not that much worried about the quality of MD pairs we are going to have in the future. That's the purpose of the domestic circuit....to reveal all these hidden treasures that we have in our country, still unexposed. Honestly, if not for this tourney, who will have known of this MD pair from Kaltim??

There is a thing you should know in Indonesia..
Usually an athelete only good when they in a good shape, after that when they retire they will be forgoten..
For example our famous boxer initial A.P. he was very famous in 80s 90s but when he retire, like now he's only work as a security guard..
Also for local player like Simon Santoso he was Djarum but now he move to Mutiara Bandung (mayube better contract)..
I believe many talent player only play at club and at the middle of training he moved out to representative others club for better money..

I doubt Budi moved to Mutiara because of better contract, he married Emma Ermawati who also moved from Jaya Raya to Mutiara.
Mutiara had strong relation with Djarum since a long time ago.
Some famous name were originally from Mutiara before moved to Djarum and vice viersa, Christian Hadinata, Ivana Lie, Rudy Heryanto, Aryono Miranat also some active players Ranny Christina, Ryan Christian, Anastasia Emaya etc

Yup, I understand that throughout the Djarum & Mutiara history... there were a lot of player trade that went on... all without any transfer fees... Usually, clubs demand Rp Rp Rp out of each other... But luckily for the players of Mutiara and Djarum, both clubs are non-profit oriented and consider the player's best interest first.
