'Unlock feeling'??? 'Love expression'??? :o What in the world are they teaching you in that institution in TR!!???
I know you have 13,600++ postings. I know you achieved it in less than 2 years. I know you are the resident jester here and all. But hear me and hear me good, you dont have to bother how I feel or how I express things etc. You just ensure you go to school, listen to your teacher, do your homework, study and pass your exams.
Now run along home and learn your multiplication table.

Lee Chong Wei and Misbun are studying and reading the 13 chapters of "The art of war" to prepare for the AE. This may be the first time the ancient "Art of war" strategy and tactics will be employed. Who knows, LD may also be well trained on this.

It's more likely that Li Yongbo and Lin Dan will read it to Misbun Sidek and Lee Chong Wei. After all, Sidek and LCW had the book, er, thrown at them in August last year :D

Statistically, a match between lindan and LCW will always be in favor of Lindan. Couple with LCW recent LD phobia after olympic, I say the odds are not so good. But the good thing about life is you never know.

Good to see so many Boleh fans so optimistic.
Lets roll out the Malaysia Boleh brigade and 'gempur' the AE with shouts of Malaysia Boleh!!!
If we aspire to win that OG gold in 2012 in the MS/MD, then we gotta start by winning the AE this year.
If our current MS WR1 is a true champion, then LCW gotta win this AE.
In short, it is now time to boleh in the AE.

It's easy to kick a dog when he's down. And there are many here that do that. Don't matter if it's after a MAS or CHN or INA loss. There too many that lust can't resist to rub it in. I'm sure there will be similar comments when LCW/TH/LD meet their Waterloo. And don't it make you feel big.

What is there to contribute, really?
I have seen a whole bunch of repeated topics in the technique section that have been discussed to death. I used to contribute there often, but it seems like the same question will still be asked only by creating a new thread. + injury related questions just annoy me... people need to be told to see a doctor... that's how sad badminton players are...
Equipments... well, by the time the new ones come to Canada, everyone else probably owns one already.
Google news... well, just look at how people use that to attack Cooler all the time.
Score posting... George@Chongwei has done a fantastic job at a record high of nearly 14,000 posts in less than 20 months with half of those posts doing that. Come on, anyone who has a life will be away from the computer for at least some minutes in a day.
Tournament prediction... X Ball is the master of predicting the same result in every single tournament and has been wrong the majority of the time. I can't beat that, since how can you be more wrong than someone who is almost wrong all the time.
What else is left? dog kicking... that's how I contribute.:o

Google news... well, just look at how people use that to attack Cooler all the time.
Score posting... George@Chongwei has done a fantastic job at a record high of nearly 14,000 posts in less than 20 months with half of those posts doing that.

To be fair, just about everyone that assumes a permanently defensive role in threads like these would have been all over trenchant critics like Pemuda, Dato_Asbullah and bananakid had the Koo-Tan pair made it through :p
Now that they have been devoured by the Danes, it's just that the loud roles have been reversed.

Did I hear something about a tough training camp for team MAS before this year's AE??? Wow... no TV and video games for a few days might have been too tough and contributed to the butt kicking that Koo/Tan received today... not to mention how Fuzzy lost the 2nd game after a good lead at the very end.
WHAT!!!!! What!!!!!@@##! Are you saying KKK/TBH got trounced??? I dont believe you!! I dont believe you!
They went through some 'top secret' intensive training camp before the AE. They had ample time and plenty of rest in between while preparing for the AE. They bought new gold rings, chains, bracelets, pendants for the AE. They updated their hairdos for the AE.
It cant be true. What happened to our indomitable Malaysia Boleh spirit? ... and what happened to that KKK/TBH chances of winning is greater than 50% thingy.

Only problem with the 'top secret' intensive training camp is that using the nintendo Wii as the training tool isn't enough when facing top quality badminton players.
Another major factor of why they lost is that the energy usually generated from large-lunged boleh fans were not there because they were sleeping in Malaysia while the match was going on in England.

When KKK/TBH won that so-called prestigious SSF many here thought that they were on the up again, never mind that they had a very poor 2008. Malaysia Boleh fans must realise that you cannot take a Proton and put it on the international market to compete with the BMWs, Mercedes, Toyotas, Hondas etc. KKK/TBH just dont have that quality, period.

We dish out the best monetary incentives for our shuttlers.
We also dish out hefty state awards for our shuttlers.
We hire the best foreign coaches out there.
Our government fully supports the development of the game and invest a huge chunk of taxpayers RM into the sport each year.
Our training facilities are second to none.
Preparation and planning for this year's AE have been intensive with that 'tough' top secret boleh camp thrown in.
But when I take a peep at this; http://www.tournamentsoftware.com/sport/matches.aspx?id=F52CFDF6-3AB9-4A29-820C-CE30E6D7D260&d=20090307 ... I think there are some questions that needs to be answered like:
How come in a major tournament like the AE, our shuttlers are performing so poorly?
How in the world are we going to win the OG gold in 2012 when we are struggling in the AE?
What happened to our much talked about up and coming junior shuttlers?Despite all the Boleh brouhahas and jamborees are we actually just a 'Proton car' trying to compete against the Hondas, Kias, Nissans, Audis etc in the world market??

OG gold 2012? do something about consistently winning the present tourneys first and only then can we look forward to a brighter OG2012.
In this year AE, the unreasonable losses did make us seem like a mere Proton amids the international brands... :(

When Rexy was playing, he together with Ricky were like an Audi. It is therefore no wonder why they dominated the MD scene for sometime.
As such Rexy should relax and not allow his blood pressure to shoot up because KKK/TBH are nothing but a Proton. And like the car, Proton is a piece of overpriced junk that no one wanted. Rexy was a true world champion during his playing days, a badminton legend. KKK/TBH are nothing but a bunch of glamour boys with no substance.

I think our players need to learn to be humble and stop overdosing themselves with unnecessary confidence... bad for health and Msia's badminton future... in my ears now keep hearing one the fuzzy's declaration of their readiness to beat the red army but hell, they didn't even get to play a match against the almighty gang... stop babbling and start showing some results, please...
Yeah, proton is a little name amid the bigger car giants, but I wont say it's a junk... there is a place in UK using our so called junk as their police fleet... it's that impressive to them... the different between local and international market qualities of proton is what makes it a junk in its own country.

How can LD not start as favourite tomorrow? He's shown effortless form and is fresh. LCW still has to deal with his demons of self doubt BUT his confidence is back after easily dispatching an off-colour TH.
One thing for sure, LCW will make LD work harder than anyone has during this tournament
Lin Dan certainly will be the favourite even Chong Wei holding the world #1 ranking based on their face to face record. Sometime I feel we put too much pressure on Chong Wei and ignore what Chong Wei has consistently achieved, that's putting himself into the semi final and final, not an easy task. Heck, how many players can beat Lin Dan once or twice anyway?
I also look at tomorrow match in different angle, one refreshing thing is both players are fresh as they both had a cake walk thru the semi final and looking at the route to their final, Lin Dan basically is not tested as compare to Chong Wei. So Lin Dan form is still relatively unknown(he's not in bad form but may not be at his best?) while chong Wei is still close to his best(may not be enough?). I expect a close fight final and hope Chong Wei comes out as winner.

2 things i see going for Dato Lee Chong Wei tomorrow, as he'll get another shot to beat LinDan in the Final:
1. He is not playing in China, rather in a neutral court, unlike during last yr's Olympics and Li Ning China Open.
2. He is not playing in a pressure type condition, at least a bit less, unlike the Olympics.
In all, this is LinDan's match to lose, as he's the favorite, although LCW is ranked #1 in the world.
With that said, let's see if LCW is able to dig down and just play his normal game.

Speaking as someone who has seen the players both on and off the Court all week in their warm up / down etc but is completely neutral I think that LCW looks the fittest.

Sometime I feel we put too much pressure on Chong Wei and ignore what Chong Wei has consistently achieved, that's putting himself into the semi final and final, not an easy task. Heck, how many players can beat Lin Dan once or twice anyway?
Perhaps you got the point here. For each step he had, i must say he keep me nervous but never a dissapointment in the end.
So, for the last man standing for Malaysia at the ae this year, be known that u've done ur job well.
Lin dan is just one ordinary player. You are not less special than him.

Really? How anyone, other than those who are jealous, can say that is beyond me. If he really is ordinary, he must be the most decorated ordinary player ever. If he really is ordinary, does that make everyone else crap?

Neither LD or LCW are ordinary. Don't think anyone would disagree with this statement. As world #1, LCW has a chance to defeat LD, acknowledged as the world's best. Can you explain how they are ordinary?
Most of us already know, and it's been discussed ad infinatum, that LCW's achilles heel is his mental strength. He needs to overcome this to stand a chance against LD. Both are quick and have all the physical tools. Right now, it seems like LCW has that "little brother" mentality

My judgement on whether Lin dan and Lee Chong Wei are special or not, are more or less, same with others.
I think you took my statement extra serious today.
My point is merely- Lee Chong Wei and Lin Dan are at the same level.(yeah..this is debatable, too)
If Lee Chong Wei put himself as an ordinary player, then he should be able to see Lin dan as ordinary, too.He can win.,I want him to tell himself that.In or out of Malaysia, one Lee Chong Wei can win over one Lin dan.No big deal.

With that said, let's see if LCW is able to dig down and just play his normal game.
totally agree with this:p:p

Normal feelings for mas fans abt mas shuttler.
When MK/HS, and JJS did not participate in the MD's event, the fans feeling that KKK/TBH will be able to win the title. Realistically, they have to work extremely hard to beat the unseeded English pair, and eventually being thrashed by the Danes.
Now, again this feeling appear - DLCW is in good form to beat LD......

A Proton Waja is a car.
It will get you from point A to point B.
It is economcal when it comes to fuel consumption.
... But take that Proton Waja out of Malaysia and put it in the world market to compete with the other auto makers, well, thats a different story then.
LCW is our Malaysian badminton champion.
LCW is the undisputed king when he is playing at home. He is flawless in his defence and placement of shots when playing at home. He is a champion when playing at home, he is the MS WR1.
... But take LCW out of Malaysia, you will have an above average shuttler.
LD, despite being away from competitive badminton for 3 months, played at 70% and still dictated the game from start to finish. I think LD were too casual at times and made numerous unforced errors. But being a true world champion, LD made LCW run all over and toyed with our so called WR1 like some pet puppy.
Malaysia, BAM, Boleh fans and all need to be realistic, we aint going to win the OG gold in 2012 when we are struggling so bad in the AE. Our senior shuttlers are not good enough. And our juniors at best are average shuttlers. Forget about 2012, 2016 is a more realistic target.
For this AE and future overseas tournaments, BAM should ONLY send our best shuttlers. For god's sake, lets show dead woods like HH, KBH the door. The same goes for our juniors, only send the best amongst the current crop. And I am of the opinion our juniors are all substandard. There is a global recession out there and BAM should exercise prudent measures especially when we are dealing with public funds.
Lastly, lets take a look at our current MS WR1, Datuk LCW and the true MS WR1, LD ;
LCW - No OG gold, No WC, No AE
LD - 1 OG gold, 2 WC, 4 AE
If I take in the rest of the SS titles, it will be a riot.
We got to accept that LCW will not win the AE. This year was his best chance. With the OG gold gone as well, the WC this year will be LCW's last chance to bag a major title.
... but then again, it will be pretty impossible for a Proton Waja to stand up to the Hondas, Nissans, Mercedes Benzs, Audis out in the world market.
Malaysia Boleh!!!

Which is better? A proton or a Ford?
Actually very good comparison, since LCW can't win any tournaments outside of Malaysia as world ranking #1, just like how a Proton can't even export out of Malaysia... by any chance, have a picture of what it looks like? It's sad that even a Hyundai can make it to the international market, and it is already being considered as a crappy car.
This year's WC will be even tougher for LCW since Lin Dan probably is thinking about beating Yang Yang's record and become the only 3 times world champion in history thus far.
If Lin Dan can make it to the AE final 2 more times in the next 2 years, then we will tie Morten Frost's record(being in AE finals 8 times in a roll, and winning 4 of them). Lin Dan already tied Yang Yang's 2 WC in a roll, and if by chance he can win the OG gold at 2012, then basically you've got an unbeatable record of all time. LCW will have to play until age 35 to probably beat that if he can last that long...
By the way, how long of a life span does a Proton have?

Wrong. I saw a Proton car parked in a parking lot of a multinational enterprise building in Jakarta yesterday.;)

Sorry, but I think at least 1/3 or possibly half the people outside of Asia don't have a clue where Jakarta is... I am stating a fact, and don't mean no harm at all.:(

Yes, it is outside of Malaysia. Congradulation on that... next step trying going further where there is more competition.
My next question is: Is it such an accomplishment when you get to export your product to a country that is rather not doing well economically??? and where as most other major competitions don't place too much emphasis on? It Is like winning a badminton satellite tournament, should you brag about it?

Proton or Ford? Ford by a few thousand miles. ;)
LD is already up there amongst the legends. As for LCW, I say he is in the Grade B category. In reality there is no way for LCW to overtake LD in terms of titles.
Well, the Proton is good for the first 2/3 years then it will start to fall apart. Here's a pic of what a Proton Waja looks like. It cost about RM60,000.00 here in Malaysia.

I may be wrong maybe that car you saw was a gift from our government to yours or etc.

No, no.
In fact, Proton cars are not a rare view in Jakarta & Bandung main streets.
I fully understand that comparing Proton to Toyota or Benz is just too much. However, AFAIK, I read not much bad comments about it in car magazines. Easy to ride, comfortable, etc, etc.
And...the price is rather cheap for Indonesian standard.;)

Following your logic, then what gives the right to so many people to judge Li YongBo here in this forum??? With the majority being boleh fans?
This sort of attitude is what makes a person/nation weak... take what you like, and refuse/deny what you don't like.

It's alright.
If a world map is shown to those people, most of them will probably have easier time to point Bali's location. :p
For badminton fans, the word 'Indonesia' should at least come in mind.
That is enough.
Knowing where 'Jakarta' is will be considered a bonus.;)

How does OG gold tie into the quality of life/standard of living of a coutnry?
Hong Kong is a great place, but it only had 1 OG gold ever, does that mean Indonesia is richer than Hong Kong?

My personal feeling: I am not proud of Proton. I am proud of LCW. Comparing those two are like comparing heaven with earth.
Even if LCW is not a deserving #1, he did not rob that #1 status and he should quite generally be accepted as #2. Come on, Ford is far from claiming it can be #2. Don't even talk about Proton.

Lastly, lets take a look at our current MS WR1, Datuk LCW and the true MS WR1, LD ;
LCW - No OG gold, No WC, No AE
LD - 1 OG gold, 2 WC, 4 AE

Malaysia Boleh!!!
I acknowledge that LCW got whipped by LD yet again, but dude, he's the runner up. LD is an exceptional player, and it's no shame to lose to him, even on homeground.
Hey, like it or not, HH and KBH are part of our best shuttlers. Maybe not best 3 shuttlers or best 5 shuttlers, but there are none who deserved more to be in AE who weren't there. So, you have to be more specific. What do you mean by "best shuttlers"? Best three players/pairs? WR must be in top 10? If all the countries only send their players who are ranked in the top 10, then we will only have 10 entries in the draw. Not very exciting for badminton.

Oh goody then, I didnt know our Proton cars are well sought after in Indonesia. I heard about the massive financial losses that proton incurred but I guess all is fine now since our cars are in demand in the overseas markets.
RM60k cheap for Indonesian standard, hmm, I guess not surprising for a country that is so rich in natural resources and is a major exporter of human labour and domestic help.
